  • I have been registered on YouTube for over 5 years now

But I never not even once posted a comment.

I wanted to thank you your videos have truly opened my eyes

And now I am going to make some big changes in my life

  • @solkatz23 WOW! That is wonderful news! I'm so excited to hear that! Good on you, my friend! :) Your comment made me very happy. I wish you the very best of luck. If you need any help or support, don't hesitate to message me.

  • I'm 20 years of age, been pessimistic for more than 2 years...at one point I tried to turn over a new leaf and become optimistic...but after my last year of high school...it randomly fluctuated. In addition, it is not because of pessimism, it is because of clinical depression.

  • @PatJD91 I specified that depression is very different than pessimism. You don't use the same steps. It's much more serious and if it gets worse I suggest you see a specialist. If there's any way I can help, don't hesitate to ask me.

  • @bukroot I think it has to do with the chemical imbalance in my brain that brings me back to square one again.

  • @PatJD91 When you know what you're looking for you can fix any problem you have. Even when it's about depression. Don't convince yourself that the problem is a "chemical imbalance" you can do nothing about.

  • @bukroot But realistically it is, and the only solution I can think of is Neurofeedback.

  • @PatJD91 If that if something you have access to then that's great. But either way I urge you to consult a specialist.

  • @bukroot What does a specialist do?

  • @PatJD91 it depends on what kind of specialist they are, but if i knew what they do i would be a specialist myself.

  • I overcame pessimism about two years ago, which in turn helped a lot with my health which was suffering due to pessimism at the time. I feel a lot better and happier with myself, I feel whenever something bad happens I can pick myself up without dwelling in my feelings.

But now, I have some friends who think pessimism is the only way to think otherwise you're naive or innocent and don't know much about the world. It's somewhat frustrating, I might show them these videos. :)

  • @TheCassyJenelle First of all, CONGRATS for overcoming your pessimism! You're totally right that it's unhealthy. Secondly, there are a lot of people out there who convince themselves that pessimism is synonymous to realism. Don't let them convince you that being optimistic is naive. You know that isn't true. It's definitely frustrating, but it's also dangerous if you believe them.

  • I'm a pessimist. I want to change my outlook in life. I'm only a teenager and i think i need to improve the way i see or visualize my life. Thanks for this video. :)

  • @nixcutie29 You're welcome! You're at the perfect age to change your outlook for the better. Best of luck, my friend!

  • i am a Pessimist. trying REALLY hard to stop.

  • @BrodysONacid Realizing that you want to change it is half the work. :) You'll be fine if you stay motivated.

  • @bukroot when i feel the urge to complain i now stop, rethink the situation. doesn't always work but i am trying to be conscious of my faults. my pessimism comes from my negative thoughts about myself. here i thought i was being a "realist" but i was making excuses for myself. great video btw. thanks for sharing.

  • @BrodysONacid The very fact that pessimistic people believe they are being "realistic" just proves how incredibly pessimistic they are, because they think pessimism is the only reality. the only way you can see that this simply isn't true is when you start to become an optimist and you prove to yourself that reality isn't just one sided. yes, there is negativity, but positivity exists, too, and you have to choose which you prefer to focus on. :)

  • @TheTawki: Same here! i agree that they are good for different situations.

  • I have read tons of self help books too..still have kept most...just parted with a few at a recent car boot sale which was great fun...great to pass on the positivity from those books...And the secret is good. Have the cd, dvd and book (all 3) - and they all work differently, cd is useful for sleeping and listening to, and dvd is cool to help with visualising.

  • If you are just 21...then i have to say i am amazed by the advice you are giving...wise words for one so young....i can see you will go far...been watching 'The Secret' again...haven't changed overnight at all...but getting there...

  • @TheTawki Aww... thanx. I appreciate the compliment. But I'm not that wise. I just read a lot of self-help books. :P Trust me, The Secret really helps. You'll be glad you read it.

  • I really like what you have to say about closed doors and open windows.... i already agree with the weather analogy and that never bothers me...the closed doors is what bothers me...and what you have said about looking for the open windows is important...really am trying to change this mindset...cos got lots of closed doors that i can't forget about....but working on it...this video really helps

  • @TheTawki The important thing is that you know what you don't like about your thinking and you're trying to change it into something that works for you better. :)

  • Thanks ...i really need this..great uplifting advice...

  • @TheTawki I'm glad I could help. :)

  • .. ok i don't know how to exactly explain this.. but most times i tend to oversay sorry, or use it when actually not needed! i know am a pessimistic person although am tryin to change! but this sorry issue now gets to bug me but can't get rid of. have been so for quite a while or lets say all my life! always blame myself for anythin that goes wrong! any tips how can at least get rid of this ? thanks gd vid !! helps quite a bit

  • @jscicluna saying sorry too much is a routine. it's something you get used to doing and it comes naturally. i used to do the same thing. i guess the only way to get rid of it is to become consciously aware of when and why you say it. just focus on those times and remind yourself why you want to stop this. you could also replace it with another phrase or word. that's what i did. but be careful you don't get stuck on something else you don't want, coz then it becomes a cycle. now about blaming....

  • @jscicluna ...yourself: the fact that you realized you do it and don't want to continue is the first and hardest step. i know this sounds cheesy and cliche but it's true. have you watched my optimism video? it's a continuation of these two pessimism ones. what you have to understand is that we should never blame anything or anyone. things happen all the time. only when we take the good with the bad do we feel happier and less pessimistic, because you see that it's always a cycle. message me

  • @bukroot thanks for the reply .. up till now haven't watched the optimism video but sure will!! thanks again:D and keep it up!!

  • @jscicluna thank you for your kind words. :) i hope my video helps you out.

  • @bukroot thanks for your videos on pessimist and optimist, you should continue making them, because you have a great clear way of presenting solutions and identifying the problems. ^_^ I hope to be anti-pessimist and more positive overall

  • @ravingdana i hope so too! thanx for your kind words. if you have any suggestions for new videos drop me a line. :)

  • good presentation.

  • @raheelausman thank you so very much! i'm still working on the length though. i believe my videos could be more popular if they weren't long. what do you think about that?

  • Absolutely great advice all around. Living life with a positive outlook makes it so much better! I hope a lot of people watch this and get something out of it. Great vids! (although you know me, shorter is better!)

  • @snowlionud i know, i know :) thanx. i promise to try harder to make them shorter than 8min. might take some time to post a new video though coz my laptop died today :(

  • @bukroot Pure trickery! This wasn't an 8 minute video, it was 18 minutes! I saw that on twitter about your laptop, absolutely terrible. Especially considering money is tight right now.

  • @snowlionud hahahaha! yeah it came out big so i cut it in two. lol :P and yeah.... i have no idea what i'm going to do now that i have no money and no laptop. not only will i be unable to post new videos but university is coming up and i wont have any means of writing my essays and assignments. :( i need about 400euros to get a decent pc.

  • i lack in action,i isolate myself BUT I AM NOT PESSIMIST hope! LOL..sweet video.these videos are going to be EPIC YOUTUBE VIDEOS. i know there r billion of videos on YT but i like these videos.great going bukroot.

  • @Reddylion thank you so much for your great words of support! you really make me want to keep trying harder and harder until my videos are partner material. :) ur the greatest!

  • @bukroot still not partner. this video must make u YT partner,i seriously wish.

  • I have watched both parts of this subject, and i must say... WOW, amazing stuff hun. I am defo a glass half empty guy, and have been for years. So much of what you said made sense to me. I am gonna try and put some of what you said into practice. I am not gonna be online much for a while as i have moved back in with my wife and she doesn't have the internet, but i will keep an eye out for your next vids whenever i am at my parents house. Thanks for sharing this great clip Rose and speak soon x

  • @chinwart you have no idea how much what you just said means to me! just to hear that i helped even in a small way is a real smile-booster! :) my next videos gonna be about optimism so i hope that helps you, too. i used to be just like you. i daresay i was emo...in a very literal way and along with all the self-destructive habits. these techniques really helped me and now i'm as optimistic as they come. it didn't take very long either. i hope you have a great week, paul! :) talk soon

  • Thumbs up.

  • @spilsbury1947 THANK YOU SO MUCH! :) i was so scared you guys would lynch me, coz it's so long. i'm really sorry that i keep get carried away with my videos. i just thought this was a really important subject and that the people that really need the help deserve a serious video with as much advice as i can possible fit in it. do you think it's helpful to people who are seriously pessimistic? be honest, ok? i need your opinion, coz i'm making one about optimism tomorrow.

  • @bukroot Yes indeed the two videos were helpful. explained in a clear way, in which people will understand, as i feel too much psychology terms/words can scare people. i know some youtubers have left comments saying your videos are too long, but if it helps, like this does then do not worry how long they are. However i do try to cut my videos down to 3 or 4 minutes. Yes focusing on positive imaginary and thoughts, optimism is an excellent video for tomorrow which i look forward to.

  • @spilsbury1947 i'm doing my best to make it shorter. coz it's coming out pretty long.
