@K2IKing2009 I'm not skipping or twisting scriptures. I don't have to. This is just one of many, many examples of the horror of Yahweh-thingy. Condoning slavery. Ordering genocide. Accepting dismemberment of innocent men, for the "sin" of others. Willing kidnapping and rape. On and on. Whole chapters devoted to how to treat slaves, and pass them on to your children. All there. In context. But you accept these things as the acts of a "holy" god, and that is the sickness, the brainwash.
@K2IKing2009 I used to believe, just like you. I had the "spirit of Yahuah" also. What I didn't know then, but now, is that I was brainwashed into believing an evil thug-god, as you do. What am I wrong about? The verse clearly shows Yahweh's will, to "cause" parents to eat their children. Your god is a sick god, and you are very deluded to think otherwise.
Verses 8 and 9: 8 I will reduce Jerusalem to ruins, making it a monument to their stupidity. All who pass by will be astonished and will gasp at the destruction they see there. 9 I will see to it that your enemies lay siege to the city until all the food is gone. Then those trapped inside will eat their own sons and daughters and friends. They will be driven to utter despair.’
@RaZoRFTWo Do not quote the New Living Translation. You are a laughable and dishonest Christian. That bible is a paraphrase, and is the only "translation" that eliminates the "I will " from the passages. This bible has been "translated" to make it easier to read, but it is not authoritative. lol You are the only believer who I think would throw the N.L.B. at me. good one. Fact remains, any accurate translation reders these verses as examples of Yahweh's "I will".
@216trixie if you would read the surrounding verses and understand the bible or not disregard it you would see that God isnt commanding or willing cannibalism hes was stating how he was promising to protect Israel and Jerusalem but they disobeyed and were worshipiing idols(Baal) that he would allow the enemies of the valley to siege the city and take all the food so all the inhabitants had left would be human beings he wasn't commanding it he was allowing it because of anger.
@RaZoRFTWo It is you who needs to rightfully see the nature of the imaginary "god" you worship. I know. I was a believer, like you, for many years. Thankfully i've been free from the brainwashing of faith for many more years now. It's my hope, that maybe one person like yourself, will see the true picture of what your "worship" as holy, is false. I remember when I believed, I couldn't be swayed either. I could show you verse after verse of Yahweh's evils, and you won't see them. Sad.
6 So beware, for the time is coming, says the Lord, when this garbage dump will no longer be called Topheth or the valley of Ben-Hinnom, but the Valley of Slaughter. 7 “‘For I will upset the careful plans of Judah and Jerusalem. I will allow the people to be slaughtered by invading armies, and I will leave their dead bodies as food for the vultures and wild animals. Verses 6-7
Verses 4 and 5: 4 “‘For Israel has forsaken me and turned this valley into a place of wickedness. The people burn incense to foreign gods—idols never before acknowledged by this generation, by their ancestors, or by the kings of Judah. And they have filled this place with the blood of innocent children. 5 They have built pagan shrines to Baal, and there they burn their sons as sacrifices to Baal. I have never commanded such a horrible deed; it never even crossed my mind to command such a thing!
Verse 3: 3 Say to them, ‘Listen to this message from the Lord, you kings of Judah and citizens of Jerusalem! This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, the God of Israel, says: I will bring a terrible disaster on this place, and the ears of those who hear about it will ring! Jeremiah 19:3 NLT
you disregarding every single verse surrounding it. typical atheist... the passage is speaking about how God will punish the sins of the people of the city its speaking of. The people of the valley of Hinnon were disobeying God and in the old testament Hell wasn't spoken of so thats why God punished the way he did in the Old. If your going to advocate against Christianity don't hide away the surrounding verses. Its not any bit of difficulty to discontinue this video with the fallacy's in it.
@RaZoRFTWo What fallacies? Point out one. ....I don't care why your god "willed" people to eat their kids. It is a sick and immoral horror story. Your god-thingy made hell on earth, because "the old testament didn't mention hell".....???....That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. You are twisted, and your god is a sick, immoral beast.
@216trixie im not jewish the old testament has no effect on today unless restated in the New Testament. and my issue isnt that you said the bible condoned cannibalism its that you discontinued and disregarded the surrounding verses and the true meaning of the passage. try reading the passage from the New Living Translation- you uncaringly and blindly interpreted the true meaning of the passage
@RaZoRFTWo Isn't the god of the old testament, the same god of the new testament? Same guy, right? .......... I did not discontinue, nor disregard, nor uncaringly, nor blindly misinterpret the passage. I merely have pointed out that here it was Yahweh's will for parents to eat their kids. His stated will. That's what it says, and you can't change that. Nor can you accept it, apparently. Besides, do you think this is the only verse that show Yahweh as a monster?
@216trixie read the New Living Translation because it puts it in black and white whereas you take the King James Version literally when word meanings and old English is different today. and yes the New Testament says the laws and wills of the Old Testament are now null and void because the world cannot abide by them anymore. no its not a different God its diffeerent laws and a different will.
@K2IKing2009 You sound like a decent person. Hope you never have to find out. Or experience the will of Yahweh.

@K2IKing2009 I stated my opinion? No, I just quoted the Bible. So you think it's o.k. for parents to eat their children, like Yahweh said to?

@RaZoRFTWo Your god willed cannibalism. And you excuse it. That's the problem. Same thing happened with the German people, under Hitler.
