  • LOL!

Jackson..he needs to watch some "bruce willis" movies.

  • hahaha, teal'c was legend ... wait for it ... DARY. xD

  • Badass guy walkin' round with a quad-barrelled pistol.

  • What episode?

  • @Blasted2Oblivion it called ''bay guys'' season 10 e16

  • @mattclivedavison thank you.

  • Is it just me or does Daniel look a little orange in this scene?

  • Lol. Teal'c knows Die Hard but Daniel doesn't!

  • Is that Michael Shanks? His voice has gotten pretty rough. almost unrecognizable. I'm currently watching season 5 and in it he sounds completely different.

  • @Aivottaja ya apparently he wanted to be more of a bad ass instead of the archeologist, i believe it was one of his requests when he came back to the show.

  • I like when Daniel says "who's calling?"

  • The story for this episode was written by Ben Browder and Martin Gero.

I enjoyed and watched both Farscape and SG-1 before and after Ben and Claudia joined Stargate. Ben played a more interesting character as John; I kept waiting to see the same as Cam, but the role as an Air Force pilot required him to be more restrained. I hear music when Claudia speaks. Vala was far less serious than Aeryn; provided more comic relief.

  • *Teal'c badass walking* Die hard *Continues walking*

  • SG1 never took itself too seriously. God bless that show !

  • Teal'c is the best character in the Stargate series.

  • @Legonater "Ascension" Season 5 Episode 3

  • onew of the funniest episodes from all SG series

  • Teal'c should've been scared if he understood that John McClain reference.

  • I love that Teal'c knows Die Hard references!!

  • lol, Teal'c is hilarious. I love when he talks about Earth pop culture...in other episodes he references the easter bunny, darth vader, or my favorite is when hes says "I have read of a place where humans do battle in a ring of Jell-O"

  • @mbenzsl2000 Teal'c has also seen Star Wars 9 times

  • @friendlycakeasaurus it was atleast 10times by this time

  • @mbenzsl2000 What episode is that last one from?

  • @mbenzsl2000 and that made sg-1 epic. Damn shame what they did with SGU

  • @mbenzsl2000 It may be asking alot but would you mind telling me which episodes those references are in?

  • @mbenzsl2000 you got that right, teal'c is amazing :D i still don't know of a place where humans do battle in a ring of jell-o and yet teal'c does.

  • "Murderous rebels...come in please."

    "Speaking?"

    Hahah(:

  • I love how Teal'c is so matter-of-fact. And that he knows, apparently, more about Earth pop-culture than someone who is actually *from* Earth.

  • Teal'c is freaking awesome.

Sam, Teal'c, Daniel & Jack was the best team team though. never liked the "new guy" that much.

  • @RemixPicture

Totally agree. The new team wasn't that bad- luckily they kept TealC Sam and Daniel (almost lost him too!), b ut the original team, and original first few series where Earth was the minnow fighting against overwhelming odds of the Goauld were the best, imho.

  • @RemixPicture I can handle mitchell, it was when they threw vala into it, I was like "nigga what the fuck am I watching? Stargate or farscape?"

  • @snipeefox Yeh, Vala didn't fit into that group at all imo.

  • This is my favorite show ever, but this episode always bothered me. They handle that situation so badly that it really bugs me.

  • Any one care to tell me what scene in Die hard this is related too? which movie? a possible link? and what happens in the movie?

    Thanks

  • @18karan Watch the first die hard movie. then you'll understand

  • @18karan Yipee Kai Yay, mutherfucker.

  • @18karan John McClain (played by Bruce Willis) was the only person in the hotel in which the story takes place who is NOT taken hostage at the time that the bad guys take over. He talks to them on his radio, but refuses to reveal his identity, insisting only that the hostages are released or bad things will happen.

    Seriously? Dude? Watch Die Hard.

  • After living 10 years on a military base, and not being the best friend-finder, its not really surprising that he spends lots of time watching TV...

  • 1:11 - you can delete this later

  • Dude yes! Teal'c! He is has been efficiently and officially culturized! Daniel....so cute.

  • I do think that SGA did a great Die Hard homage in their season 1 2 parter The Storm and The Eye. Not very relevant here but I thought I'd just tell you all.

  • i think we all agree that all Stargate series are better than the new junk like Falling Skyes!

  • Haha always the logical one Teal'c =P

  • "Who I am is of no importance".

    "Oh I disagree!"

    lulz

  • It is kind of strange that an alien, who found Earth very strange and violent place at first, got assimilated much better to the Earth's pop culture, than most of it's original inhabitants.

  • @Toneai2007 All they had was gouald tv dood. Our tv rocks

  • This show was so hiliriaous. I wish it hadn't stopped.

  • Of course Teal'c know what movie...

  • @MegaCoolCat99 O'Neill has been schooling him on earth culture

  • hhahahah I love Daniel Jackson !

  • i love how Teal'c says it so calmly

  • Well, we got ourselves a bit of a John McClain here.

What, what are you talking about?

    Die Hard.

  • Though Teal'c's remark was hilarious, I feel it is my duty to note that this was by far the worst episode ever not only from SG-1 but from the franchise as a whole.

  • @JaysonCasy Which only goes to show how good the.... show....franchise....whatever....was.

  • @brownblair98 yes.

  • @JaysonCasy how about the episode where they first mixed human technology into a goa'uld glider and the spent the entire episode talking? that episode sucked. badly. very badly.

  • @sepirothfreak999 you mean "Tangent" with the X-301? I don't remember that being bad. It maybe wasn't the best but "Bad Guys" took every character we loved and turned them evil for no good reason. It just didn't make sense. Even Michael Shanks hated it.

  • @JaysonCasy I don't really get that. I took the whole franchise as mostly a joke. Obviously the premise would never have worked at all as a serial show due to the problem of language differences on many or most of the places they visit. That's only one problem and yet the only way to explain it is 'a wizard did it', or some other deus ex machina explanation. That being said, this episode was hilarious to me.

  • @noddwyd Unknown to all of them, they were injected with translator microbes when joining the SG program, thanks to John Crichton.

  • @noddwyd that's funny because there literally WAS a wizard on Stargate. In fact, he was THE wizard, Merlin. Season 11 would have shown him magically giving everyone on every planet the gift of a unified language.

  • @noddwyd SG1 & ATLANTIS was a joke. this scene is funny, and SG1 did have its moments, but as a whole, the show wasn't really very good. no one I know watched or liked it and can someone explain to me how 'farscape' crew members ended up in the stargate franchise? Had John Crichton & Officer Aeryn Sun done something terribly wrong? and being forced to work on this show was there punishment ?

  • @MGazT I have no clue since I couldn't stand to watch 'farscape' past the first episode. It was just too cheesy.

  • @MGazT

They had a hell of a good time.

  • @MGazT if you'd have watched the whole of farscape you'd know they returned to earth. maybe this is part of them being integrated into earth society.

  • @Verliebt that would be cool idea, and a genuinely clever concept. And if true, would be the first sign of any real intelligent thought behind the making of the show. :)

  • @MGazT

Everyone has got a right to an opinion. However: how can a show not be good if it lasts for 10 seasons and had not 1 but 2 spin offs? But I do think the last seasons (with Browder and Black) were the lesser seasons. Not due to the storyline but just because they couldnt fill the gap Richard Dean Anderson left behind.

  • @Superpiair1 oh I disagree half way. Ben Browder to me did not bring anything special to show and, yeah in no way filled the shoes of Rick. However! Claudia Black was a breath of fresh air. The episodes were so much more fun to watch. Plus it was nice to see Daniel a bit different because of her, not so much of a prick. Plus the idea that he could possibly fall for a girl who wasn't a princess or a braniac excited me. and it was nice to have woman there who wasn't as uptight and proper as Sam.

  • @MGazT wait you must be joking.

    this is a joke right?

you thought FARSCAPE was better than STARGATE?

    yeah you are joking.

    phew.

  • @dumbylives4evr I do as well, and I'm not. Doesn't mean I don't love Stargate. Especially SGU. But I find myself reminded of FS when watching subsequently produced sci-fi series.

  • drive-by lines are the best.

  • Teal'c says die hard while boss walking.

  • ho... hah.. i disagree :D

  • TEAL'C ROCKS.

  • gotta luv Teal'c

  • Mitchell: Jackson.

    Jackson: Mitchell, what's going on?

Mitchell: Well, we've got ourselves a bit of a John McClane here.

Jackson: Wha-what are you talking about?

Teal’c: [walking past Daniel] Die Hard.

  • @dimebag88m God I love how people quote what's in the video as though we can't see/hear it ourselves. ;)

  • Oh you'll get out Chrichton!--err, um, Mitchell...

  • He didn't know Starship Troopers until Cam recommended they all watch it in Season 9 :)

  • Oh Teal'c.

  • @zelfgale

He already knows all human movies before season 8, where he gets to live off base, but has to return in the end of the episode.

In the seasons before they always mentioned his passion for Sci-Fi Movies, Jack even says he has watched StarWars lots of times xDDDD

  • he is a cross between john bolushie and bruce willise

  • I love how Teal'c loves Tauri movies.

  • Gotta love Teal'c and his knowall of human movies ^__^

  • Who still remembers a time when Teal'c would have just raised his eyebrows at a reference like that? Which season did he become the fountain of references?

  • @jammydodger423 lol indeed

  • "Speaking."

    Lmao

  • What is John MCclain doing in Stargate?

  • @ViperChief117 On holliday with family. ^^

  • I love how Teal'c is so file savvy.

  • @sorsaria Indeed :D

  • @StuvstaBoyz97 I find it a little sad that an extraterrestrial human knows a lot more about our pop culture than a native human does. But,it also makes you wonder,is it a good or bad thing?

  • @brownblair98 Indeed it is, however, he is a Jaffa, not human.

  • @AirsoftSteveCope genetically, he is human (Or in Teal'c's own words from I believe the second episode of the first season "Decendant of the Tauri") he's just wasn't born on Earth. He went over it when he first stepped foot in the SGC and they began interrogating him. That the Goa'uld took slaves from Earth and seeded them "among the stars" (meaning on other planets), and that the biggest and strongest of them became Jaffa.

  • @AirsoftSteveCope jaffa are human

  • @StuvstaBoyz97 INDEED
