Come on people, that was sweet and funny. If you've never been licked by a dog, there's something wrong with you. Besides, adult supervision is a must and that was clearly the case. Let the dog feel he/she's protecting the baby, make them show some affection and you won't have any problems.
If you raise your children in a ultra hygenic envirement and buy all sorts of hygenic items as we all need so badly shown daily in the commercials on your tv ==< your children will have more allergies and diseases. It is good to let your children play and built up their natural defense system.
I have had my Mastiff for 6 weeks now and she adores my two children. My son lies on the floor and imedeatley she will lie sniggled right up to him and licks his face. This is how she shows her affection towards our children. My wife is the biggest freak in the world about hygeine yet you have to peel her off the dog's face at times. I think all the critics should get over themselves as half aint even got dogs or pets like our beautiful mastiffs.

Think about it - humans smoke - drink- eat crappy food - have STD's - whatever. a dog is limited. 2nd- a DOG (if cared for correctly) get's it's shots - SAME AS YOUR BABY DOES! okay, thats to far, the dog would of without doubt liked its balles and ares hole within the same hour and now sticking its touge in the childs mouth...ppl dont get carried away, a dog is always a dog,so stop that.

it's ok to love a pet...but you don't let grandma, your cousin, brother, etc. lick you on the lips or your childs...but why the dog?
while we're at it...lets let a monkey baby sit the kids or let me get married to a Rottweiler i named kimmie

Come on people, that was sweet and funny. If you've never been licked by a dog, there's something wrong with you. Besides, adult supervision is a must and that was clearly the case. Let the dog feel he/she's protecting the baby, make them show some affection and you won't have any problems.

If you raise your children in a ultra hygenic envirement and buy all sorts of hygenic items as we all need so badly shown daily in the commercials on your tv ==< your children will have more allergies and diseases. It is good to let your children play and built up their natural defense system.
Turn of your tv and go play outside!

I have had my Mastiff for 6 weeks now and she adores my two children. My son lies on the floor and imedeatley she will lie sniggled right up to him and licks his face. This is how she shows her affection towards our children. My wife is the biggest freak in the world about hygeine yet you have to peel her off the dog's face at times. I think all the critics should get over themselves as half aint even got dogs or pets like our beautiful mastiffs.

when i was a kid my bullmastiff was so happy that i came back home one day that he started jumping around and one jump he ended with his huge paw on my eye nearly tearing my eye lid... i guess he never realized how huge and heavy he was. still, these dogs love kids and would protect their family no matter what happens.

You NON-dog owners are rather ignorant! First, a dog's mouth is far cleaner (crap eating or not) than most humans. Think about it - humans smoke - drink- eat crappy food - have STD's - whatever. a dog is limited. 2nd- a DOG (if cared for correctly) get's it's shots - SAME AS YOUR BABY DOES! A human can do WAY MORE damage to a human baby than a DOG could EVER do! People drink or do drugs while pregnant - which only MAKES the baby sick - People do it intentionally, pets do it by mistake.

these people are just to worried about what could happen. i have a 6 week old chi puppy and i let him lick my face and my lips all the time. Dogs mouths are actually cleaner then humans mouths. Their saliva sterilises there mouths. so your better off kissin a dog ppl then another person. Get over urselves. And ur dog looks very cute while lickin that baby lol he looks happy, as does the baby.

@masters2982 Exactly right. There is ample evidence to suggest that the rise in asthma among children may be that they are not exposed to enough germs early to build up their immune systems! Besides, the affection is worth it!

I love dogs. I never kiss them. Dog flora contains Giardia, E-Choli, plus the caca & you know what they've been eating/licking. Stupid people shouldn't have children....

this is awesome!!! and that is true... Dog's mouths are much much cleaner than human mouths... Cats' mouths are even more clean... but I am not a cat person... so who cares...
