  • It would be cool if you showed the wale and harming it

  • Just so you know, federal law prohibits approaching or harrassing whales in U.S. waters. If you get close to a whale accidently, always cut your engines and wait until the whale(s) passes. If an extended time passes and the whale(s) does not move away from you, start your engines and slowly back away. NEVER chase after whales or follow them. If there are baby whales in the water do NOT dive in. The entire pod may attack you if they think you may harm the baby.

  • thats a big fucking fish hahahaha best quote ever

  • What an experience !!!

  • You guys got way too close :(

  • just to clarify if there is laws for getting to close i have know idea what the hell they are i live st.pete florida we don't normally have humpback whales here

  • Okay i don't know a whole lot about whales but that is DEFIANTLY NOT a Manatee.... dumbass

  • Very cool!

  • There be whales here!

  • It was all over the local news. It's a Right Whale. Google it, if you must.

  • That's not a "humpback" it's a Right whale. You should of kept your distance. It's extremely rare that type is in the gulf, let alone Florida itself.

  • No that is a humpback as its dorsal fin is visible when it surfaces. I do agree that the boaters should have backed off though.

  • @yarzzz so sorry to burst your bubble but first off a right whale does not have a dorsal fin and second if you look at the video time line 2:37 you will see the pectoral fins are like a quarter the langth of the hole whale. we where in a 20ft sea swirl and the pec fins where the same size if not longer. a right whale has short pic fins.

  • @jrracer85 The Right whale was identified as a Right whale. It was printed and on the news in Port Charlotte and Punta the day it was spotted. I'm sorry that this whale is a Right whale. It happens. Sometimes whales can look like something different underwater, especially when they aren't fully developed.

  • i waz there. We were chasing it around the island on my jet ski

  • A humpback whale in Egmont Key? how rare is that?

  • That is so cool. But one thing, you do know that there are regulations that prevent you from getting too close? Guess not. You're supposed to come to a complete stop if you're within 100 meters of a whale or any protected marine life.

  • I was there too. That was an awesome experience to see that.

  • What a great experience. You guys did get too close though and hope you didn't spook the little guy into shallow water.

  • that is only 8 ft of water

  • Do you think it was in danger?
