My cat lets us take him out on walks because he knows that's his only way outside. He used to be an outdoor cat and now he's in his old age, he's an all the time indoor cat. He doesn't really walk. He just kind of fines a good spot and plops down and lays there.

My cat is the very same way. He cries and knocks at the door to go for his walk. Starts to purr when I put his harness on for his walk.
