I have been a flight attendent in the UK for 6 years and its my dream to fly as a flight attendent for Southwest....they are awesome!

lol, heres something that scared the crap out of me: my parents are split up, so i go to visit my mom every school break that lasts more than a week. when i was about to fly up to where she lived, i read a sign as i was walking through the metal detector. it said " risk of terrorist attack *lotsa colors* HIGH RISK OF TERRORRIST ATTACK" and i gotta say, i was pretty un-easy about that entire flight. and not only that, i fly alone so i dont get to spend my last few minutes alive with a friend lol

Unlike some of these posters and the passengers on the plane, I actually liked him. Some people really do need to lighten up.  Anyway, I would thoroghly enjoy myself if he were my flight attendant. At least it would make the flight go by faster.

i dont think i would like a guy like that on the plane. I really like when they have the screens that are right in front of you and u can play trivia games with all the passengers on the flight.and then at the end it says which seat number is the highest..That was on an Alitalia flight

I once heard a frontier airlines F/A tell us that according to faa regulation smoing on the flight or in the bathrooms were prohibited, and if anyone was found smoking they would be treated accordingly, and put out w/ water.. lol..

it would be such a better place if people could lighten up and step besides themselves to laugh a little during those times in which we all are cramped up like sardines - like in a jet.

Air travel can be stressful enough as it is... and laughter and sincere attempts at making it a fun experience can and do go a long way towards arriving in a better mood.

Good point, Internationals R more 'controlled' in what they say. Real pity is, if U asked me 5yrs ago what's the best International carrier I'd say QANTAS without a doubt, but now they R expensive, service average, lounges average & losing ground to Asian carriers into OZ. I fly mostly Singapore or Air China now, I can't afford Qantas, why pay more 4 less.

Dear boeing180, a point that should be given consideration granted, but here in OZ Virgin Blue do it all the time and Qantas is still the prim & proper Std airlines procedure ONLY. Announcements and jokes are appropriate on the ground, but once in the air, there are those of us who would like to sleep and not be disturbed. Such non-sense on the PA should be banned.

You belong with some of the asian airlines that are quite dull and formal. On short domestic flights that WN operates, it is great that they do things like this to liven up the flight. I remember the whole cabin was laughing and myself and everyone were talking to complete strangers around us. In flight training, FAs are ENCOURAGED to do those things.

We had a flight addent on south west that sang to the tune of Zip-a-de-do-da "Zip-a-de-do-da Zip-a-de-a thank you for slying on Southwest to day." That same flight we were sat at one on the 4-seat facing each other seats. Three of us were on board, the fourth guy was a buniess man that flew alomst every day, he offered to buy us Alchol, we declined.(Yeah It waa random)
