Ohmigosh!!! When he flashed that tux coat open, it occurred to me that's the same tux he wore in that clip of him with Phyllis Diller. It's here on YouTube somewhere ;-). The fancy lining is unmistakeable! ;-)

Bob Goulet wasted too many years believing that he could be a pop singer. But his voice and talent were meant for the theater. In 1987, I saw him in a touring production of "South Pacific." He was one of the two or three best de Becques in my experience (full disclosure: I played this part during my performing days 20-odd years ago -- but Goulet was better:)). OK, maybe his pop albums offer some pleasure. But dammit, this dude BELONGED in the theater --
