I have listened to and studied many guitarists, I play myself, Stevie is probably the best of all. He can sing, even though his voice is not the best, otherwise everything about him is perfect. He can play and does so with feeling, he writes interesting, intelligent music, he can perform, is awesome to watch, dressed with taste and looks like a god. I wish him all the best and much more music to come!

@blackstars26 this probably wont get you the exacty same tone, but i put electric guitar strings on my acoustic and it sounded a hell of a lot cruchier. Give it a shot. It makes it more comfortable to play on too. :)

@blackstars26 It is both, get D'Adario lights for the acoustic and tell them you want a rich bright tone from them, or you can just say you want the to bright like steve's

@blackstars26 i find elixers 80/20 bronze strings are the best, there coated so they last longer and there really bright, i switched from phospher bronze to 80/20 and never went back, i love the bright tone. but the only down side is that elixers are expensive lol, but well worth it! hope this helps :)

yep, I think that he is more than a guitarist. He is a true musician and when you are a musicion and not an instrumentalist you have everything it takes but a voice. Pitch, timing etc. Singing is not THAT difficult. I for example do not like my voice and I do not always hit notes precisely enough to be a true singer but I can still sing enough for the songs I write.

@rickyjshiznit are you serious? there is almost no resonance from the actual wood itself. the pickup is directly underneath of the pickups, blocking the soundhole, giving it an even more artificial sound. i'm surprised that Steve didn't put a small diaphragm condenser microphone on the guitar, rather than use a pickup through the PA...but in short, this is nothing but a DI from an acoustic guitar that hasn't been processed at all, except maybe compression.
