No, you don't have to cut it's mane short for any physical reason. It accentuates the black stripe in the middle which looks really cool. When the mane is sculpted properly it visually minimizes faults and maximizes the horse's good points.

ok thanks, i was just wondering, and no i wont be shower my horse, just riding it at home and my mom wouldnt let me get its main cut anyway lol
