  • I guess lena taylor thinks her constituents are to uneducated to figure out how to get a picture id

  • People need IDs to get drug prescriptions so they can stay alive.... need IDs to set up a bank account..... need ID's to go through airport security...... and the list goes on.

Funny how Lena Taylor and the democrats never seem to make a fuss about people being required to have ID's for those things and having their rights denied in those cases.

Ah yes... Lena Taylor.. magna cum laude hypocrisy graduate of the Al Sharpton college of democratic inflammatory racial politics. It's all she knows.

  • @GSkid2000 Yeah but none of those are a Constitutional right.

  • @richmeisterg Then government provide the IDs to all citizens of the country so democrats lose all their "Poll Tax" excuse. Trust me.... if that were to happen then the democrats would desperately try to come up with some other excuses not to require IDs.

Remember... this the party that puts tape on their mouths at protests screaming about our constitutional right to free speech... then wants to censor and silence speech THEY don't like. You know...OK for ME.... but not for THEE!

  • She has a Law Degree from the back of a box of Cereal. Look it up.

  • Lena Taylor talks trash! Many of her constituants have ID's (in fact some have several.) Those that don't are trying to avoid detection by someone. Dems like her can't win by fair & honest votes -- they need to register the dead, round up votes in nursing homes and mental health centers. Whine Whine Whine, Lena.

  • ALL COLOREDS SHOULD BE CHECKED FOR WANTS AND WARRANRS.

  • SHE'S GETTING RICH OFF THE TAXPAYERS , OWNS A BUNCH OF SLUM TITLE 8 SLUM PROPERTIES

  • HAHA lena taylor just got outed for voter fraud! mediatrackers =)

  • @lolololoolllool Explain the scandal and corruption that would justify a recall please.

  • I.D. by signing your name is worthless. I could sign the name Barrack Obama, it doesn't mean that I'm him.

The Supreme Court has approved similar voter ID laws. See Crawford v. Marion County Election Board, 553 U.S. 181 (2008). Basically, if Wisconsin provides either waives fees for the indigent or some other form of providing voting ID like in Indiana, then the law is just fine.

As I said before, the 0.00004% is a meaningless figure for the reasons I stated below. Try again.

  • Asking someone to have a picture identification in order to vote is not too much to ask. Her hyperbole and demagoguery is disingenuous at best. She should be ashamed of herself. Maybe she should try some civility next time.

    Nice left-wing rant though.

  • @coolbreezed Wanting EVERYONE to have the opportunity to vote is "disingenuous"? She's doing what she's supposed to...FIGHTING for the people, which you obviously DON'T understand..Voting is a RIGHT...a RIGHT for EVERYONE...Are you really THAT concerned about the .00004% voter fraud rate? That's about the rate at which Americans die from lightning strkes each year...maybe we could put lightning rods on everyone's home too?

  • @GreenPartyNow Of course I know that voting is a right. However its not too much to ask for the person to accurately identify themselves before exercising said right.

I have problems w/ .00004%. First I don't know where you got it the figures. Second, the .00004% are only the people who get caught .... it does not speak to the successful instances of voter fraud. And finally, if voting is such an important right, as you have made clear, shouldn't we make sure that there is ZERO percent fraud?

  • @coolbreezed They ALREADY identify themselves when they vote...they have to sign their name when they go to the polls. Requiring an ID (which must be paid for) is UNCONSTITUTIONAL. You see, it's actually considered a poll tax- the same kind of tactics were tried to prevent blacks from voting in the south..Oh, and that .00004% you're SO concerned with, it is actually a statistic that lumps issues such as showing up at the wrong polls or stating the wrong address..people move you know...

  • This HAS to be the MOST UNCONSTITUTIONAL "law" ever...what a bunch of bullshi*...The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude...abridged, meaning "curtailed" or "depriving of", which is EXACTLY what this stupid law is about....

  • @GreenPartyNow This law does not discriminate by race. Period. Is it that difficult to get an ID? Seriously?

  • @GreenPartyNow How is it unconstitutional it's a volition of what amendment?

  • I am amazed that this is an issue. Anyone in my country trying to limit our right to vote would be out on his ear. There would be wartime headlines in the news and other poiticians would shread the bill. Politicians from left to right.and Im from "socialist" Sweden.

  • So having to present an ID is "voter suppression"? Please, if the bank won't cash a check for you because you do not have ID are they committing "banking suppression"? At the liquor store "lush suppression"? Guess what? You can be arrested and held for 24 hours if you are unable to produce ID for the police. And yes I will repeat- you are moonbats and libtards!

  • @lolololoolllool Gov Walker for President!

  • It's so sad to see what is happening in America. The rights of the ordinary man an women are being erroded. I can only hope that we spread this information around.

Tell your friends, tell your enemies and maybe, just maybe we will awaken and empower the people.

  • of course the republicans are going to pass a law to try to minimize the number of democratic voters because they know their asses are in the dust. this country..not just Wisconsin, really is predominantly democrat, but democrats are too busy working their asses off trying to earn a living to be able to vote and unless they work in a union arena their employer is likely to be illegally creating obstacles to allow their employees an opportunity to vote

  • Liberalism is a mental disorder.

How dare we conservatives take away the liberal wacktard's primary way of cheating in elections by requiring voters to actually have ID.

  • @OrbitalBurn1 hah...that's why the country is doing so very well under 30 years of failed Republican / conservative policy.

Wake up numbskull....When projection is all you can do to defend yourselves it's time to look in the mirror.

  • @kalifani It would be wonderful if we had been under 30 years of conservative policy. Only far left crazies equate Republican with conservative. What we've had is 30 years of big government corruption brought to us by the ultra leftist progressives.

    Completely unconstitutionally, BTW.

  • @OrbitalBurn1 Yet another delusional, projecting, brainwashed wing-nut. Just what are We the People gonna do with the likes of you Regressives. Not even the scrap yard will have you. I say we launch you into outer space to measure the true density of the Crab Nebula. That way we would have some use for your dumb-asses.

  • @OrbitalBurn1 btw: You guys have never won in a fair fight...and you never will . DO watch what you say.

  • @kalifani Oh please. We're not the ones with dead people voting. Nor do we bus our voters around so they can vote in multiple states. Or the ones that go out and "find" 300 more votes for our candidate in our car. Or the ones that want to count one or two precincts over and over and over until our candidate wins. We don't get the ILLEGAL vote like the liberals do.

    Watch what YOU say.

  • @OrbitalBurn1 - Find me a documented instance of these tactics.

Most states experience approximately .0002% voter fraud.

Fox News is like Sesame Street for people like you. "Repeat after me: Libtard. Moonbat."

  • @stripeynu Blah blah blah. That's like asking, find me a source in the Nazi news that we are exterminating the Jews simply because they are Jewish.

Come back when you have something.

  • @OrbitalBurn1 Oh, also several dead people signed Democratic recall forms. One of them, the late father of a democratic assemblyman. Nice example.

  • @stripeynu Perhaps the union thugs shouldn't kill those who disagree with them. The liberal wackos vote for people may years after they are dead. And liberal wackos find votes in their cars several days after the election has ended. They always seem to be 100% for the liberal wacko candidate too, WEIRD!!!!!!!!!

  • @OrbitalBurn1 Of all the cases where voter fraud is being indicted ALL of them are REPUBLICAN offenses. As a matter of fact---your guys were caught registering dead people on the petition to recall the dem14 in the WI senate.... & how do we know this? One of the dead guys is the father of one of the union leaders. Btw: ACORN was cleared of all charges and the GOV. defunding ruled unconstitutional.

    So fuck-off you racist shit-bag.^_^

  • @kalifani Blow me you ignorant mouth breather. Take your race baiting card and shove it up your ass.

ACORN was destroyed due to it's corruption. And you are flat out lying concerning who the voter fraud is coming from. Just balls out lying.

  • @OrbitalBurn1 Mostly because it doesn't matter; GOP electioneering negates votes anyway.

  • Hi 5s and kudos to Senator Taylor for speaking the truth,as well as fighting for everyday Americans.

  • GO LENA GO! BRAVO FOR TELLING THE TRUTH!

  • Great speech Sen. Taylor - the WI govenor and legislature dont seem to feel they need to follow federal laws and can make their own - too bad you didn't remind them about karma and what goes around comes around and ask them if they were ready for the consequences of their actions.

  • Unfortunately, the repiglicans haven't heard a word she said. They certainly didn't understand the case law she cited. Nor the reasoning. Nor did they see their own ignorance. This is truly a sad day for Wisconsin. They can feel no shame or embarrassment. Sociopaths.

  • Now it's our turn to get the disenfranchised to the DMV to get their IDs - by the carload, by vanload, by the busload!

  • Republicans, you just signed your own electoral death warrant.

  • She is not basing EVERYTHING on race, she is showing how we are moving BACKWARD from the progress we have made by taking away rights not only from minorities but from the ELDERLY and STUDENTS and many many others.... open your eyes. It is our HISTORY that makes us stronger, when you forget where you come from, you walk blind and end up with items like this being brought up again because the GOP thinks we aren't paying attention.

  • @tdolina09 Exactly...They[the GOP] think that we are all asleep at the wheel as they roll things back to the 16th century where you only count if you have money and a well worn family name.

They think they'll all have a seat at the table of a new monarchy. Scary thing is----they're almost there.

  • I love this woman.

  • Gawd I love this woman. She is verbally, facially and physically expressive. I hope that Milwaukee totally appreciates her, she is on this.

  • the poor don't vote republican so let's take away their right to vote.....it's a simple equation

  • @erico888 ...but the poor do vote republican [see teabaggers and elderly]. Just not the black ones. And there are a lot of poor black folks that rightfully feel slighted by both parties as a matter of fact.

...but the dems are the ones that ushered in the civil rights legislation that forced the southern states to honor our right to vote[actually granted in 1874 by President U.S. Grant, a Republican] so.....we kinda know the 'southern strategy' cons don't have our best interest at heart.

  • Preach Sistah Friend

  • YES! way to go! My new hero Senator Lena Taylor! Rock on for the people! I am SO impressed!

  • Wow! Go Grrrirl! Great speech! Truth all the way - and fiery! Makes me cry

  • You got it walk away with it!!!!!!!!!

  • Wow! She is an inspiration to all (or she should be to all!!)

  • You can feel the indignation at the injustice of it all coming from this one powerful, angry black woman. Every word she speaks is a dagger of truth piercing the heart of power.

  • @DizzySlip7 A-FUCKING-MEN. Wanna know who is the 1 dislike btw

  • Damn! GREAT speech

  • she rocks way to go Sen Taylor

  • Her constituents can be proud of themselves for electing a true patriot.

  • I don't agree with the Republicans at all on this bill but it's a shame that she has to bring up race. Every time I see a Democrat open their mouth they are talking about race and racism. I don't think being against one of their ideas makes you a racist. I will not be voting for the Republicans or Democrats this time around. Clean up your parties and start representing your people!!!

  • @camarozr1 But in the reality of it all race is a factor in social issues not because of skin color, but because of the legacy of inequality that exists today. It's not surprising that many black people are poor because a few generations ago they were in a society of separate but equal, and a few generations before that they were slaves. I don't believe in handouts, but I believe is social assistance by way of guidance. When you nip a flower while its buds it grows slower than the rest.

  • @FlipPat31 I agree that race is still a factor in many issues today. I am not blind to the fact that our prison population and lower income brackets are made up of a disproportionate number of minorities. On the other hand I hear race being brought up for EVERY issue by democrats and it rather sickens me that they will not talk about issues but just blame everyone not agreeing with them on being a racist.

  • @camarozr1 So even if her critiques were or are misguided, you feel her rhetoric is somehow an equal injustice to the disenfranchisement of tens of thousands of voters as the Republicans are doing?

The two parties aren't even close in their injustices in the state of Wisconsin. Republicans are messengers of greed and death.

  • @DizzySlip7 so as is always the debate you want me to choose the lesser of two evils. I am not going to chose because it would still be evil.

  • Sen. Taylor: thank you thank you thank you. You are a true representative for the people of Wisconsin. Fight on! One day longer.

  • To Senator Lena Taylor~ YOU ARE A TRUE VOICE FOR THE PEOPLE! You demonstrated the utmost integrity, courage and conviction in the fight for OUR RIGHTS! Today, despite the consequences, you made me proud to be an American!!

  • Lena Taylor! You rock! Let's call it what it is: disenfranchising vulnerable voters, because they vote for Democrats. Truly shameful.

  • Comment removed

  • What an absolutely powerful message...the repub cons are running scared (as well as they should)....Arrogant bastards every single one of these backwards thinking cons....Lena Taylor for Governor!

  • Who is the legislator seated behind her who's reading the whole time, not even pretending to listen, anyone know?

  • Thank you for speaking up about this, we need more people looking out for all of us!

  • @disrxt Most likely refers to the outlying suburbs of Milwaukee- Waukesha, West Bend, etc- which are the most heavily republican areas of the state.

  • Lena Taylor, that was...incredible. Inspiring.

  • @lolololoolllool I wish I could give this a thousand thumbs up !!

  • I am so very proud of Lena Taylor. She should be Gov'nor!

  • Could someone please tell me what "the outer ring" is.

  • Telling it like it is! My hat's off to Sen. Taylor for standing up and bitch slapping the WI republicans with their own words!

  • @mrolfs Standing up you said? Are you unaware that senator Taylor and most other Democrats didn't even vote on this bill.?They didn't even have the backbone to vote no so how can you say they stood up?
