  • such a great chef

  • Gordon Ramsay says not to beat the eggs beforehand, but then again, Marco trained Gordon.

  • he burned it flat out do it whith no color and I will be impressed

  • @nct608 u want him to make it without color? are you retarded?

  • When I lived on a ship we spent a lot of time on the southern coast of Spain. We found a little restaurant just outside Rota that stayed open late. Me and my buddies would come back from Hotel don Tico (whorehouse) in Jerez at about 2am. I used to love the tortilla bocadillo at this little hole in the wall restaurant. I used to put Ketchup on mine and the little old lady would look at me like I was insane. Have been trying to cook one of these for a long time. Gonna' have to try this method.

  • Thanks to knorr for getting Marco away from his hunting and fishing to school us a little.

  • I love Marco; he's so cool and casual and so so so good!

  • Isnt it a frittata not a tortilla?

  • @JonE23 Frittata is the Italian version of tortilla española. "Tortilla" in Latin America is a flatbread usually made from corn flour and doesn't really have anything to do with European Spanish cuisine.

  • @badchippo lol, thanks for posting that. Up until the point I saw him making the omelette (my uncle in Greece makes something similar) I was waiting for the flatbread to make an appearance.

  • taking the potato right out of the boiling oil and eating it. LIKE A BOSS

  • People simply don't like bs being shoved into their throats. Probably Marco at this point of his career, when he achieved everything that could have been achieved, simply doesn't give a flying f... about anyting and wants some pocket money from Knorr, but that doesn't mean he's exepmted from being judged and beind subjected to opinions.

  • People are seriously insulting Marco Pierre White. This guy would run circles around all of us in a kitchen and has accomplished more than any of us ever will. Gotta love the internet haha.

  • A simple and effective trick to cook your omelette well is to simply put a lid to cover your pan. And add shredded mozzarella on top of your omelette too.

  • How to burn a Torta and cover up the blunder.

  • anyone else only click on this vid to see how he was gonna try and crowbar some stock cubes into a recipe for an omelette?

  • This is beyond fail. Glad to know that if you screw up a dish, you try to hide it instead of starting over and getting it right. What a joke, I'd steer clear away from any restaurant with you as a chef. Where are your standards?

  • @jacobrey015 Jeez man, this is just a demo video! He hasn't been a line chef in ages and these videos are suppose to be for the lay man, not to demo chef skills. If you want to see that, just watch old videos where he cooks for some of the elites in the culinary world. For the lay man, they aren't going to throw that out if it got messed up. Take that stick out of your bum.

  • @Gilgamesh417 If you are a lay man who can't afford to redo a burnt omelet, you should not be spending ANY of your time on Youtube. If you have the luxury to be sitting around looking up recipes on Youtube, you should be able to afford another batch of eggs to do it properly. Who in the hell searches for "How to do something the wrong way"? Get real.

  • @jacobrey015 Really? I'd like to take a poll "You've just slightly burnt your omelet of 9 eggs, 5 potatoes and 3 onions. Would you (A) Throw that all out and start again? or (B) Eat it anyway?" I'm going to bet that most people are going to choose (B). Guess why? Most people aren't looking to be world class chefs or stuck up, pretentious foodies. They just want to cook something quick, easy and reasonably tasty without a ton of trouble. Pretentious oaf.

  • @Gilgamesh417 Nope, you're alone on that one, buddy. Also, that wasn't slightly burnt. Nutswing some more, there's a reason this guy's Michelin stars were revoked...and I'll give you a hint: It's not because he was a great chef.

  • @jacobrey015 What's the big fuss? He admitted he left it too long. So what he made a mistake, every chef does and i'm glad they showed that because it gives hope to everyone that you can't be perfect all of the time.

  • im always amazed by how immune his fingers are to heat

  • Marco screwed up the tortilla. It shouldn't be that brown.

The best way to finish it off is under the broiler instead of flipping it.

But that is more of a fritatta instead of a tortilla, but I don't give a shit about the semantics.

  • *takes them straight out of boiling oil*"very hot" YOU DONT SAY!!!

  • So he sticks his fingers into boiling oil, takes a potato and puts it right into the mounth :-o Is he some kind of fakir or what?

  • i recon...

    i recon...

    i recon...

    i recon...

    NIGGA STFU

  • @SockPuppetCommentary i had a spanish woman make something a few years ago that was just like this. i think she called it una tortilla de papas. potato tortilla. this is spanish as in burgos spain. i don't know if it's south american at all.

  • @youllregretit You'll have to forgive my ignorance. I was raised speaking Central American Spanish. The translation has been noted. Thank you!

  • @SockPuppetCommentary It's actually called a tortilla by the progenitors of the Spanish language--Spaniards. Do a little research before you say shit that makes you look completely fucking retarded.

  • Comment removed

  • @SockPuppetCommentary Wow, Spanish is allegedly your first language and you still didn't even know that a tortilla is something different in Spain? English is my first language, and I'm well aware of the common linguistic discrepancies that exist between American and British accents.. i.e. British "chips" versus American "chips"; British "biscuits" vs American "biscuits." Please for the love of god explain to me how having Spanish as your native language could POSSIBLY be an excuse for ignorance

  • @ShitMyCatsOnFire Listen, you fucking bitch ass troll. Please for the love of god explain to me why you are being such a whining ass CUNT about the term for a fucking omlette. You are such an asshole that you actually took time to bring this up again AFTER THREE FUCKING DAYS. I had totally forgotten this. Who gives a shit what I call a tortilla and what Marco does? Why don't you eat shit and fuck yourself, Maybe if you put some vagisil on your cat it wouldn't be on fire. Troll ass bitch.

  • @SockPuppetCommentary Wow, anger much?

  • 2:35

looks like he stuck his finger into the oil wow

  • Guy is the GOAT

  • Looks like egg and chips with fried onions to me

  • he obviously didn't rehearse

  • marco is so honest, another chef must request a retake after find it burnt like that

  • What type of oil did he say at first other than sunflower?

  • @gamewildkid

I believe he said "arachide oil."

Arachide is french for peanut, so I'm guessing its peanut oil.

  • 4:58 cock

  • looks burnt as fuck

  • 2:00 F*CK SALMONELLA, It's quite nice

  • @AlamakTheCrazy if you get fresh eggs you can get away with eating them raw like that...

  • I think the potato must be FUCKING HOT and how did he manage to taste them like that????

  • I like this recipe but...

i kinda don't trust that pyrex....

i have pyrex, but pouring hot oil into it..... i'm kinda scared... i really am!

has somebody ever experienced any "exploding" pyrex glass?

i would really like to know....

  • Wow, he needed a deeper pan, if a lot of people do this exactly as him some are gonna be minus a kitchen or house lol

  • now i get it, he returned his 3 Michelin stars, because he felt like people valuating was lacking competence, and now he doesn't give even the slightest fu.. what everybody has to say about him, even if hes cooking in Mcdonald's or with Knorr stock cubes, cause he's got that confidence in his ability for cooking, only masters has that, and you can always see and feel it

  • Comment removed

  • @juliusreea Confidence means nothing if you burn your omelets.

  • @jacobrey015 yeap

  • @juliusreea He said in one of his videos where he was working at harveys (3 star michelin restaurant) and he said "10 years from now I plan not to be in the restaurant business"

  • 5:04 to 5:10. Classic Marco.

  • Difference between Gordon Ramsay and Marco Pierre White, even if Marco burns food just a little he will still eat it. Gordon would throw it in the bin and make a new one, wasting food...

  • @jb7254 Only because he's cooking for the camera. Any high end chef at their own restaurant would never serve burnt/food that their not happy with to the customers.

  • @TheBlessedbabi Ah but i didnt say anything about him serving it to customers, obviously i wouldn't serve burnt food to customers as well. I'm talking about when they cook for themselves

  • He sticks his fucking finger in their like "yep, that's boiling oil alright!" lol

  • "very hot"

    LOL

  • The onion is a option

  • @lunixer

not if you like a spanish tortilla...

  • Are you watching willy wonka?

  • Most worst spanish omellete lesson

  • @taytoscheesy thank you! I don't see anything Spanish about it. This sucks.

  • It's freakin burnt lol he is a terrible cook

  • "My wife always use to complain about the messI made" then he got rid of the wife.

  • How could you not love this fat old lady?

  • Instead of using a plate and flipping it stick it under the grill until you can see its ready!

  • 5:04 hilarious the way he says "Marco, it might be too soon..."

  • Ew.. I no sticking his fingers into his food to taste it one at a time is a thing of his, but raw egg?! Yuck.

  • it seems like in all these vids, marco hates his life and is cooking cause he has to because he isnt as famous as gordon lolol

  • 5:26 Gordon Ramsay would say, IT'S BURNT! what a way to get back on Marco hahaha!

  • FAIL @ 1:22 the oil is spilling... he forgot that the oil will rise once it is fried with some content of water in a food.

  • 1.23 wtf? lol.

  • knorr is omlette????? fuck

  • FUCK THIS GUY

  • @ChefArchuleta fuck you

  • @ChefArchuleta Whats the reason you don,t like him?is it because he is using knorr?well if you don,t like it why come and search for the video?

  • Comment removed

  • lets have a guess...do i burn my kitchen???

  • disgusting recipe, greesy, burnt, peels an onion like he has parkinson, looks so bland.

  • @tuca182 hmmmm, I believe the description is refering to yourselves?

  • @tuca182 It's eggs, do you want them green before you're happy or something?

  • @Snugglesup Eggs don't have to taste like shit. Potatoes are tasteless and burnt onions taste like burnt onions, so i keep my words: disgusting recipe, greesy, burnt, peels an onion like he has parkinson, looks so bland. This idiot on the video mistreated a lady in another video ("Marco Piere the Kitchen gangster") and said he would never sell his heart. Well, now he does this CRAP over here and adds knorr to everything, including the classic STEAK AU POIVRE. Seems like knorr bought a heart.

  • @tuca182 You're a twat, he's always used bouillon, Gordon Ramsay uses Bouillon cubes, think not? Check out the F word and search for Lamb Couscous he uses a bouillon cube in that. F off with your self righteous BS. Mofos might sit there and say that they don't use Bouillon cubes but in reality they do. Heston blumenthal uses them as well as MSG. So what the hell are you talking about? Waging war on the whole culinary world huh?

  • @TheChefTonio you're the twat, with a fckn "chef" in your username and saying "bouillon" to pretend you know something about cooking. If you expect top chefs to use industry shit, you deserve to eat mcdonald's and frozend pizza for the rest of your life. I expect them to make their own BOIULLON (as you fag like it).

  • @tuca182 LOL, this troll ingested too much Fluoride and MSg in his life i think.. ! he;s doing the same to me on another marco pierre white video. !

You are right, These 'chefs' are all about popularity, money and commercialism. they use toxins in their celebrity endorsed products.. such as MSG a known neurotoxin, Jamie Oliver with his Tefal Teflon - FLUORIDE pans.. they are all in on it. its not ethical and not real healthy food,, but when did anyone know anything about healthy eating..!

  • @tuca182 Top Chefs work in the industry what in ball sacks name are you talking about? You just dislike the fact that I am correct. I gave you three michelin star chefs that use bouillon cubes....and all you say is that I deserve to eat frozen pizza and mcdonalds for the rest of my life. For the record there is no "selling out" if he's been using stock cubes (I didn't use bouillon as I would sound too Chef-E) since he started....

  • @TheChefTonio I dislike the fact that you are correct? LMAO!!! Stock shouldn't even be salted, and the only thing I'm sure about cubes is that they have LOTS of salt. God knows what other crap must be in there. Dude, do me a favor, keep doing Marco's Steak Au Knorr and I'll keep doing the REAL Steak Au Poivre. Keep following what your 3 stars Michelin chefs say to sell products while I do the right thing. This discussion is over, have a nice life.

  • @TheChefTonio yes... but this is a shit... say me one chef that uses stock pot?

  • @TheChefTonio Ramsay not uses Boillon Cubes sucker..... in Maze we do homemade stocks....

  • @10cookman Yea, that's why he used a stock cube as a seasoning on a T.V. show right? It's the same here get your bs out of here. Fronting mofo. Nobody said to use this shit to make a HOMEMADE stock you. Get your dumbass out of here. Is he there in the kitchen with you? Didn't think so. Marco is THE BEST chef Britain ever produced and all you "purists" hate on him. His Father was a chef and he used bouillon, this ain't selling out trick. Gordon uses stock cubes I gave you proof bitch.

  • Comment removed

  • @10cookman Marco gave his stars back a long time ago, same with Nico Lidenis Dillegard in Holland did as well and not too long ago either. So did some other French restaurants in the past couple of years. He's not even in the business for Michelin stars anymore dude. Come on now, he owns pizzaria's and steak houses. Those are far from Fine Dining. Michelin is strictly for fine dining and to say that fine dining is the only dining is ridiculous. But this is the same here stock cubes on tv.

  • @TheChefTonio why ridiculous??

  • @10cookman Just like Marco, Gordon used it on T.V. It's T.V. There is no problem with Gordon using them on T.V but there is a problem with Marco using them on T.V.? Let's be real now.

  • @TheChefTonio but since this point why I should have also criticized Gordon, you're right there .... but what I mean is that Marco uses in their kitchens .... and Gordon did not .... I end my internship with Gordon in January and I can assure you that there have never seen a single frozen fish .... Gordon has the particularity of individual fishermen get to fish on holidays and Sundays ....

  • @tuca182 What a dumb comment "he peels an onion like he has parkinsons" like the way he peels an onion has anything to do with the flavour of the recipe.I admit it does look greasy but you could always dry them with paper towels before you put them into the eggs.Onions are nice when caramilised like that although they were a bit burnt not that much though. He hasen,t "sold his soul" hes still a brilliant chef if someone offered you thousands of pounds to do that would you?

  • @MrMGD92 i agree that the way he peels an onion don't make any difference, was just a plus to the awful recipe, cause i expected much more from him in every way. You have the right to accept thousands of pounds to do anything you want, but you gotta be ready to be jugded for this, specially if you are a celebrity chef like Marco. And this omellete isn't the worst, steak au poivre is the one that really shocked me.

  • @tuca182 I can understand your point in saying hes sold out but I don,t think he has he worked for years in a pro kitchen and trained almost every "celebrity" chef but its not the point that ther,e celebritys its that almost all of them are at the top of their game in cooking as in they run some of the best restaurants in the country or the world hes trained everyone Gordan Ramsay,Jason Atherton,Bryn Williams,Stephen Terry,Heston Blumenthal all worked for him.He also got 3 michilin stars.

  • I can see a bit of Rick Mayall in his delivery

  • Finger into a pot of boiling oil. Fucking Boss.

  • marco.... it wasnt to soon

  • i watched this video for 5 times and im still loving it

  • Salmonella lives in the outer shell of the egg, if you properly clean your eggs you will never get sick. I know this because I also love Japanese food, and they use a lot of raw eggs.

  • 2:56 "very hot", awesome. The man is a legend.

  • The man is a God

  • i wanna show the part where he tastes the raw egg to all the people that dont know how to cook and bitch about food illnesses. pansys.

  • He kind of looks like Jason Segel

  • 2:36

finger in boiling oil like a boss

  • @equallyeasilyfuqyou Then he eats it straight out of the oil.. Extra boss..

  • @equallyeasilyfuqyou

and than he tasts it and says "pretty hot" I would be like "F**** I TASTED F***** LAVA!!!"

  • Just found this guy and for the most part am really enjoying his videos...is it just me?.....he reminds me of Tommy Cooper... sans Fez....

  • Best part of this video?

Marco making a mistake while cooking.

AND LETTING ALL OF US SEE IT!

How many takes do you think each crappy show on Food Network requires? So they can get it "just right" and make their little chefs look perfect on TV?

After all those years of experience, s*** can still happen in the kitchen.

It makes him seem more human. And humble.

  • @8BitAvatar amen

  • Sorry how many of you people saying he is crap has 3 michellin stars? Actually Marco's that good, he gave michellin there stars back! 1 of the best chefs of all time!

  • Sorry about my english, i'm a spaniard , unfortunately that tortilla is too burnt and the potatoes too fried. Marco could be a great Chef , but he's not a great tortilla cook. I'wouldn't eat a tortilla like that never.

  • @majema2009

He says so himself. Do you reckon he wouldn't be great within no time?

  • TO HATERS: Check out the video "Marco cooks for Albert Roux" and the other parts, so you know what you're messing with!!

  • THAT LOOKS FUCKING HORRIBLE!!!

  • He's salmonella proof, and his fingers are heatproof as he did dumped his finger into a boiling oil which goes up to 300 C.

    Marco is the shit!!!

  • this really is an advert...u guys should watch his cooking when he was still top notch michelin chef....he's amazing...the thing is look at his fingers...not even afraid of the heat...

  • oh man he didnt cut it up

  • @MultiMAGICDAN I know yeah! My mouth was watering like "what does it look like inside?" and he didn't open it!

  • @Camberwell86 lol same

  • y donde esta el pimenton de murcia!!!!!!

  • beginning cook here, what kind of potatoes are those? thanks.

  • @NobbyKNobbs Looks like there almost certanly roosters, my favorite if im honest. I would use those no matter what macro did in this vid.

  • what are granules? >< 1:52

  • @SuperSeaCucumber Knorr cube... The dude is pitching Knorr nowadays. Basically he's using it in place of salt.

  • That is fucking awful, anything for money eh Marco.. Where's your standards!

  • I really like Marco, I think he is a very good cook.... but please please please dont make more Spanish tortilla!!! IT IS ALL WRONG!!! He made a BURNED tortilla.... I am spanish and I know about this

    HORRIBLE

  • @dsegura if you think his tortilla is bad ... have a look at his knorr recipe for what he calls paella!

  • @Libdmj you are right mate!!! WORST PAELLA I have ever seen!!! What is worng with Marco? I thought he was the best TV english cook!!!!.... I will have to change him for Gordon Ramsey or what????!!!

  • @dsegura forget Ramsay ..... have a look at Rick Stein on Spain - not too bad at all .... he at least tries to keep it authentic

  • @dsegura But the only real mistake is that it's a bit burned, otherwise it's entirely "correct". Haven't you made any mistakes in the kitchen, especially when cooking something you haven't done in a long time?

  • @raizumichin It is not correct at all, the potatos has to be boiled in oil not fried. A spanish omelette contains onion as well... I like cooks trying to make other nationalities dishes but please please please do it right :)

  • @dsegura But he does add onions! He boils them in oil together with the potatoes. I'm starting to think you didn't actually watch the video.

Besides that, I despise the world "correct" when used about food. Food culture is ever evolving, traditionalism only hampers it.

  • @engaurd was there no potential of a fire there?

  • That shit is burned!

  • shame on you Marco..... overcooked tortilla - in sunflower oil!!!!

  • 1:30 potential chip pan fire action

  • It's awesome how human he is-- worried about how it'll turn out, how excited he is with the result, etc.

And it was just hilarious to see him reach in, grab a still-frying potato, bite in and just say "it's hot." I'd think the better word would have been "freaking scalding and my tongue now has second degree burns."

  • Comment removed

  • Did he just taste the raw egg and say its quite nice?

  • @JimmyTheKiller Fuck yea he did!

  • what is it about British being hypnotic. Ramsay, Pierre White, David Attenborough, Dawkins, Hitchens.... I could listen to these guys read stereo instructions

  • what a sellout!

  • Looks pure beaut!

  • to all the haters, Gordon Ramsay and Curtis Stone somehow trained under him!

  • @guitarfrozenintime Gordon didn't "somehow" train under him, he applied for a job after seeing Marco in the papers.

  • GRANULES, defo a better flavour. HAHAHAHAHAHA crock of shit

  • fuck salmonella

  • Awesome chef

  • Man, this guy is creepy

  • fritata?

  • well done....

  • "very hot." really???

  • He is such a fantastic teacher... he's awesome.

  • Se le ha quemao jajaj....iba perfecto hasta que le dio la vuelta...Tenia el fuego demasiado alto...al final el fuego se pone al minimo, sobre todo si es tan grande.

It has been burned .... jajaj was perfect until he turned it ...the fire was high...the finish is at minimun fire.

  • that is one intense omelette demo hahaha

  • that is over cooked

  • haha yuck.. he tasted the raw egg mix..

  • jep thats the way i always made it, only i make it with more onions than he does :)

  • nice!

  • The guys a Legend

  • Sorry, i misunderstood your comment! I thought it was ironic and criticising like your responce in my comment.

  • @mkouros You Had It Coming, Smart Mouth.
