Could you tell me what the tubes/pipes are made of? Aluminium seems like the easiest to get and work with, but our degus have managed to gnaw through the aluminium parts in their current cage. I'm not sure if I would want to use it as the basis of the cage construction.
Between the last two years we had no problems with gnawing through the EZ-tubes. Yes they are made from aluminium. There ist enough wood in the cage for gnawing if they want do something with their teeth...
Type square tube system into google. I think thats the stuff. No idea how he/she made a recess in it for the wire. But you could always just fix it on without the recess.
@wolfchild88 Hi. I bought the Frame parts . The tubes are special for cages and you can get the recess in 4 different positions. Have a look at my homepage.

No I order the tubes by online store. They cut the tubes for my cage in all necessary length.
