You are showing a video named.” Learn how to play contract bridge”
Bridge is a card game that is very enjoyable. But too many bridge players teach the game as thought they are intellectual assholes. This is why the game is lost.
There are some free resources not mentioned in this video. Search the internet for these: EasyBridge, WBridge5, Blue Chip MiniBridge, Learn to Play Bridge I & II by ACBL, QuickBridge, Contract Bridge Course by Michael Furstner, Bridge Base Online. My YouTube channel also has playlists of other video bridge lessons.
@Gretch702 The clue is in the title: "Resource Guide" i.e. a guide to resources, which include books, finding teachers, what you can expect from teachers, CDs, videos. If you want to know how to play Bridge specifically, look at my video channel. There you will find a series that I have put together. More are on the way.
I agree that learning methodology is changing and it should be. People are changing and learn differently than 30 years ago. Just like in chess, once players are well-started, there are some classic books that are still worth reading.
I have to disagree with the line: "do not chose a book that has been in print for more than 5 years". My opinion is that the beginners should start with the basics: rules of the game (does not change much over time), basic bidding (same comment), and play of the hand (again true). What is evolving more over time is advanced bidding (conventions and systems) and defensive play (signals and carding), which the beginner should not bother too much about at the start.
@alainlacourse I agree with your point. The reason why I say this is that I want to see fresh faces and ideas - Learning methodology is changing and this change needs to be promoted and reflected in teaching practise. I want publishers to stop churning out books that are 30 years old... Looking to the past all the time. These old books (brilliant as they were in their time) need to be discontinued & new authors come to the fore...

@kevlarsen Thanks for all these suggestions - I wouldn't recommend some of them though! True, there are lots of ways of learning the game.
