Hey there. Nice montage of a great film. I like that you kept the great music from the original movie at the end. I don't speak cantonese but that song is so tragic sounding and soulful, too.
Would you consider putting this montage to "Viva la Vida" by Coldplay? That song seems to fit this movie perfectly, don't you think? There's a great scene where Chow Yun Fat is lighting his cigarette with some counterfeit $100 bills. Anyway, good job.
Hi Aric! Thanks for taking the time to watch this. I didn't think anyone who loved this movie would love my montage for it. I don't know if I would put Coldplay to this since I kinda feel that recent music would be out of place for this film, but it's something to consider, so thanks for your suggestion! Thanks for commenting and I'm glad you liked it. If you dig this and are interested in other vids "similar" to this, then please subscribe. Take it easy and thanks again :)
Hey Munnabhai, thanks a lot for the wonderful comment!! I love this movie a lot, and I'm glad you like the music to this. I always thought it would pair well with "A Better Tomorrow," and I'm glad to meet another person who LOVES this movie here on YT. Thanks again, and if you like other things like this, why not subscribe? I have other anime related things, but I may do something like this once in awhile. Take care man, and thanks!!
Thanks for watching L!!! I'm glad you love this film man. Any favorite moments? Please pass this on to your friends man. This film deserves so much attention that it's not even funny. (along with my video here). :P Thanks for watching!!
If you're seeking to get familiar with John Woo, start with this one. I unfortunately kinda went in reverse, but this film is the one that kinda got the ball rolling for him and Chow Yun-Fat. You can find 1 & 2 on Amazon, I believe, for cheap. Furthermore, watch it in chinese with subtitles. There's lot of stuff going on that a dub can't convey. Let me know when you get a chance to check it out.
I've been meaning to use this song for a very long time. Before I started this channel, I made a slideshow with this song, and I always associated it with a sense of loneliness and cool. The film itself is a great film which really espouses the idea of friendship during the toughest times, a theme that John Woo visits regularly. To not combine the 2 together would've been a crime in my book :)
i confess, i've never seen this film, only the killer and hard boiled. :( Im a big Bebop fan too so its nice to know another scene homage/reference. Great choice of music as well! it definately matches the mood and pace of your compostion. nice work as always man!
Thanks for watching mate. I really appreciate it! The Killer and Hard Boiled are both great films by Woo, so watching this film may put you off a bit since this was his 'first' big hit, but the drama that ensues in the film is great IMHO. There is some 'cheese', but all of that can be forgiven by the end. If you get a chance to watch this, let me know. I'd love to discuss this movie with others :)
Holy shit! Somebody actually watched this!? lol!! Thanks for watching Odd1. I don't think this film is anybody's cup of tea, but it is a good one, without a doubt.
@naikanomtom That's a great homage to both Better Tommrow and Chow Yun Fat. BTW this week will be his birthday.

Sadly I'm not really familiar with any John Woo movies at all... guess I should remedy that starting with this one sometime?
