  • Who the hell did dislike THIS?? Chopin would cry out of happiness if he could hear this performance...

  • Almost every day I find yet another version of this piece. None and I mean NONE of them is of this caliber.. The musicality, the articulation, the softness. the integrity with the tempo... The sound is almost translucent... shimmering.... ALL Chopin interpretations of Perlemuter are the best versions of those pieces...Technical and musical transcendency... World must know more of him...

  • Why the hell does YouTube say this is Horowitz?

  • Whoever recommended this man to me.. props to you. This man is incredible

  • @redshark618 Not a freaking day goes by without listening to this...

  • @Elsenrail29 i listen to different versions of this piece also everyday, one from zimmerman another from horowitz each one masterful

  • @noumenonman Agreed. But if I had just one choice regarding the versions of this ballade I'd go with Perlemuter. Actually regarding any Chopin piece he recorded:D

  • I could't have imagined that there can be such a exalted, magical, radiant, intimate, deep, eerie, captivating interpretation of this piece.

  • This is such a magnificent performance!

  • Vlado is god!!!!

  • I think it's the best performance of this piece on youtube

  • I am without word to describe what Perlemuter means to me. One of the most precious musical treasures, hidden in plain sight. My model for Chopin.

  • Fantastic! Much more expressive, much better tone than most of the Ravel for which he is so famous.

I love this performance. What a pleasant surprise!

  • beautifull performance. is this from the nimbus recordings?

    thanks for posting it.

  • i think it is sounds the same anyway. i always think he's the only one who can make the piano sing when i hear him play

  • pal you really love piano music that is good. cheers

  • i do i've been playing since i was 3 and mr perlemuter has been my idle since then. I've won many competitions playing this

  • Yeah, that's correct. I thought I responded already... oh well, haha. Now you know.

  • Perlemuter was a genius. Outstanding performance here, once again.

  • Completely forgotten, like many great pianists, I have heard of him for the first time, on UT, while he just died in 2002. He is very moving with Chopin. wonderful.
