Aswell as the Drving scene and where Michaels taking the money out of the banks with Michael driving the car :L this is my favourite scene in the whole filmm! i love it so much i even analysed it for my film studies course:)
jude law was soo sooo scary, especially this last part with his pale face & icy eyes splattered with little droplets of blood. strangely enough, its literally the scariest movie ive ever seen (scarier than The Ring, etc)
One of the greatest scenes in the history of movies. The satisfaction, peace, and happiness on Tom Hanks' face to see his son make the right decision. PERFECTION!!
Did anyone notice at the end where the old couple lived that they were doing up their run down house because they were left the Money by them both :D She was painting it Cream, while he was on the Roof redoing the Tiles. What a beautiful way to end a film. Love it. Proof that you don't need to have a full on action film to make a Decent film.
@ADMediaEmpire decent film this film was amazing u said it rite with heart and good passion to a movie u create magic u don't need special effects or blood and guts all u need is a good story
hmm i'd have to disagree. i think tom hanks' character was more honorable. he not only wanted to take revenge for his family, but also to protect his son from harm and the criminal lifestyle. that's why he was happy that michael didn't shoot the assassin. he shot jude law's character himself to protect his son's soul. when you think about it, he basically secured his place in hell to keep his son from damnation. if that isn't honorable i don't know what is.
They are making this story into a trilogy, where Micheal gets revenge for his fathers death after growing up. To me, that kind of defies the whole message behind this movie. Bah.
it's like those old mafia photos of those massacres and such. you see the bodies all there, and stuff, so he kinda reflects that side of humanity back then.
whats the soundtrack playing when tom hanks dies?

I've seen this ending and heard the soundtrack enough to realize that you edited it by shortening 'seemingly' slow parts.
It's the timing that makes scenes more relatable. I think the director would normally do a better job. Thanks for posing thou.

This will sound wierd to everyone probably, but Tom Hanks does the best death acting in hollywood. This film and Saving Private Ryan come to mind.

Storyline is similar to gladiator in many ways. Maybe too similar.
Real son jealous of a man close to his father.
The killing of his wife and son.
His desire to get revenge.
His ultimate revenge
His ultimate death.
The maximus character was more honorable being a general than mike a mob hitman the real major difference.
