hey taiwanese people dont you know the philippines is the only country in asia has a medal in fiba world even china dont have any medals in fiba world .. we filipinos hoping that philippines will dominate the asia again coz we are talented in the sport of basketball
We dont really care about Taiwan. Philippines can beat your team 9 out of 10 times. We are preparing for Iran and China and Korea. We dont really prepare much about your puny little island of rebels who were defeated by the communists and kicked out of your homelands.
just want to tell to all taiwanese players that this team is just compose of college student except for douthit,,and yet you are still defeated,,what a bunch of weak,,what more if we let all the phillipine baskerball association stars,,play in the game,
taiwanese or filipino whatever theyre always bullied by other taller teams like china, korea n iran....they have no chance to qualified in 2011 london olympics!
hey taiwanese fans that's not even the best players in the philippines that your team has faced we've beaten you twice in jones cup 2011. remember also that were playing on ur home court
@agentshadow5 ,but our team was organized only this year and yours for almost three years..u have one import we got none if we had one we could have won.. A lot of yur fans are sad bec after three years of preparation only to be beaten by Korea ,Jordan and dumped by Iran.. I wonder if there is any Filipino in the NBA ,. I am happy to say that we Taiwanese have one in the NBA named Jeremy Lin who plays for Golden State Warriors
well mr. agentshadows for ur information japeth aguilar was been drafted by the miami heat in year 2007 and was already playes in the nba summer league 2006 to 2007 but he declane it just to serve and play for the national team of the philippines and for ur information douhit the import u talking about is a natural filipino too his mam is a filipino who live in the state for 40 years for the record douhit was drafted by LA lakers in 2004 but he declane it too so stop dreaming u got nba palyer da
@et041053 cant accept your defeat??hahahha!!! its not our fault if you dont have any imports??anyway even if you have imports or that assshole jeremy the results will be the same,,you will still lose!ahhaha.by the way??hus that jeremy lin?/ahhaha,,
@agentshadow5 1 more thing - chinese n taiwanese are of d same genes, dey'r just tall but can't play ball...d rison dey have players in d NBA is not bcoz of their basketball skills but because dey are extremely tall even at 1 or 2 position. so guys like yao ming and the likes towers on their defender and just shoots over them but that's it...no fancies, no gimmicks, no life! lol hey mr chopstick stop being a whiner u dumplings cant play ball the way it should be played - such a dsgrace 2 d sport
phongkyboy, I'm not talking about this game. I'm talking about the recent Jones Cup wherein PH beat Taiwan. If you followed that tournament, Coaches from other teams are complaining the calls of the refs when they play against Taiwan. lol at least if they home cook, they shouldn't make it obvious. and LOL Taiwanese bball players are known for their oncourt "drama" so instead of playing bball, they should appear in Chinovelas (like meteor garden) because they are so good in acting. hahaha
taiwanese refs are really tight on touchy fouls. i saw a few games and i couldn't believe that they made some calls, but its how they actually referee domestic professional games. even though they call really light fouls, i still think they are decent because they are consistent with their calls. but then again i do not agree with most of their calls - basketball is a physical game! what really sucks is that calling really touchy/pussy fouls has extended from the pros to the streets...
@et041053 thanks for pointing that out, but i wasn't directly referring to this game. i'm just saying that i find it both embarrassing and saddening that taiwanese basketball is getting less and less physical both at professional and amatuer levels
gungnir21,, you mean jones cup is biased on the side of taipe on this game? how can u say that?..because of that last 3 secs. have u forgotten that they are playing on china... Are your sure that taiwanese refs put their sides on the philippines rather that their country man taipe team? think about that.... For me its not bias, it is just a wrong call.. Its not the base for the idea of being bias to other nation rather than their own hahahahaahaha
Oh, Smart Gilas beat Taiwan last night. Even with the help of Taiwanese refs, Taipei still did not do sh!t. Jones Cup is so biased it should be removed by FIBA.
omg! that taiwanese referee who gave the technical foul is Fucking idiot and Cheater!! check the replay, that is ridiculous and obvious! lol thank God Smart Gilas still prevails :D
ahm, pwede po magtanong? d ba c Douthit aaply ng Naturalization? so makakalaro na sya sa team Phillipines, ibig sabihin ba din nun makakalaro din sya sa PBA kahit phillipine cup?
the taiwanese core players did not play..but this filipino team is made up of college boys representing our national team there is no professional baller in that team except for douthit..we'll see in fiba asia 2011..
@weward i'm not trying to stir up any arguments, but during the last fiba asia chinese taipei placed third behind iran (first) and china (second) - to my knowledge. if i am wrong correct me. but where did the philippines place? and did any professional players play in that tournament?
to make it clear i have mad respect for both teams :)
@eklee311 philippines placed 8th. But Philippines beat Taiwan(5th place) on that tournament. That Philippine team was made up of Pros but with no team system in place(relying on individual skills),no real training as a team and most unprepared philippine team i ever saw. Still they gave all teams tough time. But that team really s*cked. hehe
@babyfaceassassin21 , anong athletic? mas malayo sila sa pinoy!! the difference is that they've got the height but filipnos have all the skills and the talent....
@antbat i would agree somehow of using pba players but what have they done over the past few years?let's wait and see what these young ones or shall we say college students can do over this tournament.
@ramxtopher agree..but there is no taiwanese ref..they r still on d host side.even 1 point is a win..we r such in control of the game from the start but we just can not close it...way to go smart gilas,we support u all the way frm USA.
and these are just a collection of college students and not the professional players from PBA...CT could have been beaten to pulp if these are the PBA players.

@et041053
There were several Filipino basketball players that were offered to play in the NBA but they all refused.
The teams in the Philippines did not want to give them to the NBA and threatened them.
Example is Abarientos.
