great laser mate, i have just one myself, only thing is though the beam comes out at an angle from the host, its not pefectly straight. DL says its quite normal and nothing to worry about. does yours do this?
Yes it does, and DL told me the same thing. Unfortunately its one of the reasons stopping them from making a beam ex-pander since it will not enter the optics perfectly straight. I had one of the old style ones and it did not work right as you can see.
Yes, it's a Concord w/ a rostfrei blade. I have 2 of them and don't know much about them. I got them in a inheritance lot of knives a few years back. I sold most of the collection...but can't sell these.
@R3dTigerM40A3 I wouldnt expect anything to great for 47$ =/... I have a viper from dragonlasers and its awesome I still have not made a video, but plan to... but I would recommend dragonlasers because DX doesnt even use IR filters so even with safety glasses the ir still gets through(unless its made 4 ir) But tell me how it is when you get it!
@tolhcc spyder artic 3 is the strongest 1w laser.and it have the best quality, comes with alot of lenz, and u can choose ur power and focuse it,so yea, artic is the best laser.
@R3dTigerM40A3 WRONG. Arctics are shipped under spec, around 600-700mw, they are cheaply made, mass produced pieces of shit, there is a reason why the laser community HATES Wicked Lasers. They ship dangerous, underpowered lasers to idiots who buy into the hype.
@tolhcc No. The Spartan has been measured consistently operating at around 950-1w, I have yet to see an Arctic perform to spec, infact most are seen operating between 600-800mw, Wicked Lasers are a terrible company to deal with, and if you order your laser from them expect to wait a couple of months.
Dragon Lasers ship out to you within 2 weeks, their lasers are high quality, on spec and will not break like cheap plastic toys (arctic)
@Crutchley29 yeah fucking wicked lasers they put it on stock when they were gathering the money to actually make them!! After 3 months of waiting I canceled my order and bought a DIY laser Im so happy with it
A Green laser would still work best for a aiming device. Green is more visible, especially during the day. Additionally, a green laser will give you a better "dot" instead of the bar that the 445nm diodes give you. The main advantage the 445nm gives you is power for a cheap price. So the beam is going to look nice, and it will burn things...but beyond that green is still better in visibility and beam characteristics.
Batteries are not included. They are quite easy to find though. If you get the laser before you get batteries, lots of electronics stores sell the Energizer cr123a batteries that are non-rechargeable..though they are quite expensive.
Definanlty better than the Arctic. Higher average, lower price, better company. Wicked Garbage has been scamming laser fans for years. Also, does this ship with a focal lens?
The lens in the video is the Dragon Lasers Spartan Beam Expander, and is normally sold separately, though it has been discontinued. The Beam expander is NOT meant to be used on the Spartan 447nm, it was mean for the 532nm Spartan. The beam profile while using the beam expander is not ideal, and I was concerned about back reflection towards the diode since the beam expander is not coated specifically for 447nm laser light...so I sold it.
The Spartan ONLY takes Two CR123A Batteries rated at 3V each. The driver is no of the boost type, so if you try and use a 18650 the voltage will be to low and I will not lase. You also should not use batteries over 3V, such as some 3.2 on 3.5v CR123A batteries as you could damage the driver.
Hi Spartan2x, I see you have the Expander lens for it! I though the 1 watt spartan was not compatible???? can you please confirm it does indeed fit?? Thank you
I have the arctic G1, pretty cool and a home made focusing lens, and the spartan should be with me this week, if I can use the expander beam on the 1W spartan I think my Arctic is getting sold!
No proscribed duty cycle. I and others have had it on for over 10 minutes with no ill effects. The host dissipates heat very well. Never let the host get "hot" though warm is ok. Make sure the laser is able to cool off at all times when in use, don't let it over heat while in use, otherwise the diode could degrade.
WIN FREE STUFF! NOT A SCAM! All you have to do is sign up and use their search engine and get rewarded! The link is in my channel under PROFILE! I have already won a 50 dollar amazon gift card!
The unit does not include batteries or a charger. They us CR123A batteries which can most likely be found at your local electronics store. Non rechargeable batteries are expensive, but the option is available. Rechargables can be found for pretty cheap.
Could you make a burning power demonstration video. I would really like to see how well it does and from how far away (with and without the beam expander)
I am a proud owner of a Dragon Laser Viper 160mw Green Laser Pointer which I am very happy with. I am thinking about getting a 1 watt laser but would like to be sure I will be happy with my purchase before buying.
I've just bought the 400mW laser from the same group/series so I should be getting mine soon :) Oh, and it's good to see that you're a Breaking Benjamin fan as well, I love their music a lot!

By hand with a jar opener. (rubber disk that helps to give you grip)
If you don't need to take it off, I'd say leave it on, because once you take it off, its much much easier to take off.
