Anyone who has owned and loved a pet and who has had to have their creature euthanized knows what a heart-rending, poignant and sad duty it is. You love your pet, and it is sad to part, but prolonging their suffering is worse. May God rest your soul, Mr. Rousseau. Everyone who's known you and petted you remarks what a sweet cat you have been for the 16 years of your life.
