English Canadians, especially ones in places like Ontario that are kinda like America, feel culturally threatened by the U.S and like to assert independence. People like Newfoundlanders and English Qubeckers are little less afraid of that, but America in general as a place to live sounds dangerous, dog-eat-dog and scary. when ever i visit canada i never personally think of visiting the prarie provinces apart from the rocky mountain region of alebrta. is it just me or are the prarie provinces considered quite flat and boring and mostly fields and lakes. the most interesting parts seem to be toronto and niagra falls, bc and rocky mountain reigons of alberta. I personally dont think the long flat parts of canada are going to be very appealling to tourists where its just endless fields and lakes. nice scenary tho

One, not all Canadians are responsible for allowing the seal hunts, two, the seals will die from over population and starvation if not controlled. Mainly because they have no predators left and would thrive and over populate. I personally would rather be bashed over the head then starve to death. @ElDuce45 As a fellow Canadian I think I should point out our governor general to you, who is not elected, but appointed on the crown's behalf...... and technically has more power than the prime minister. Just last year, afterall, it was the governor general who decided what was to happen when the other parties wanted to push the conservatives out of power. Whether you agreed with her decision or not, we had nothing to do with that decision....... not very democratic.

@petehjr1 I would say reeks of trees is inapt. Our land smells of willows, pines, cedars and sweet maples, along with some glacier fresh water, air and beer. Whether or not you like it or not that is your own opinion. Going from a suburban area like Vancouver to Maude Lake or somewhere and taking a deep breath of fresh air is invigorating. Better then sucking in car fumes and dealing with stuck up people.
