Reed only wears a helmet, but I would recommend helmet, knee, and maybe wrist guards, especially if you just started learning. I wear shin, knee pads, and a helmet.
Wow..you just have to work your way up with high ledges. If it's a down ledge or rail, go faster and jump out to the rail. Try working on jumping up to high things in your shoes repeatedly to build up your muscles. You also have to jump, suck up your legs (bend them), then when you hit the ledge...push up so you're not sitting on your grind.
i skate a lot of park. i have xsjado 08 basics and i was wondering if their were better brands of skates to skate park in. which brand of skates is best for park?
I don't think one skate is better for park and one is better for street. You should be fine with the skates you have for both park and street. It's all about personal preference as well.
Yeah...thanks. I just deleted those other comments on his street edit. You just can't reason with people...don't sweat it. Thanks for the positive feedback!
I know Reed wouldn't say that he was better than Wake. Wake is amazing. It's really tough to compare skaters when they are both really good. Wake just doesn't have the same opportunity to get filmed and to go street skating as often as Reed does, so you don't always see his best skating.
I wish i could come to Woodward :( Living in some shitty place where no one cares sucks when your actually capable of doing tricks that most people cant
Send in your edit...they'll post whatever you send them. I watched your edits and Reed can do everyone of your tricks and then some. He can 900, 540 launch boxes, do huge drop rails, and many switch-ups on a concrete non-coping ledge. I didn't see you royal to 360 soul, fakie outspin soul or royal, 270 back royal, or full cab soul in any of your edits. I could go on...you're good...lets see your best stuff on Rollernews...send it in!
Okay i will send some in i am working on one now. But yo if you took that in a bad way sorry... reed is good and i am not saying he is bad. i am just saying he has a post and i can do most of those tricks that he is doing and i am at the same age.. is reed going to bittercold this year cause if he is i will see him there...
Yeah...I would love to see any new edits! We all like to see kids that are young skate well because it gives us hope for the future of rollerblading. Reed did compete in Bittercold in Feb and he should be there next year as well. He is competing at Superhick in two weeks, the AIL at Wooward West in July, the Brass Knuckles Beatdown in IN in August, the AIL at Woodward East in August, and the AIL World Championships in Sept. at Woodward West.
alright well I am trying to get out to a few of those comps i know i am going to bittercold and I am trying to get out to a few more but when I do go i will hope to see reed there!
As soon as i am done with that edit i will essage you are something thanks a lot!
That's cool. Where do you live? I see you go to Lake Owen. You should try to go to Woodward West during July 4th week. There's an AIL between weeks 4 and 5 and Reed and I both will be there during week 4.
I live around Chicago... yeah I have been to lake owen that last 3 years. Woodward west is pretty far and a lot more expensive to get out there. I would need like a sponser or something to get out there but if you are going to any comop around chicago like windycity rite let me know...
What is this? Im sorry but skating is not about who can do the most tricks. Its about being creative and having fun. instead of worrying about whos better why dont you give skaters the opportunity to unite. Sounds like these guys should skate in the same crew. I prefer watching steve matiasek cuz he has more style
Yeah...We're not trying to worry about who is better. We do our best to give Reed the opportunity to skate with other kids his age. That's why Reed, Wake, and Shawn try to meet up at comps and at Woodward. Steve Matiasek lives really far away and doesn't go to Woodward or comps, so I've never had the chance to meet him neither has Reed.
whate skates are these?
