  • Gorgeous.

  • Govt mandates, more taxes, penalties - businesses REQUIRED to pay for emp HC.

ATT, Catepillar setting aside $100 MILLION EACH for new HC taxes. This is WHY there are no JOBS and unemployment is over 17%!

BO is ruining America - transparency - HAHAHAHAHA they LOCKED THE DOOR on repubs and YOU.

BO just keeps lying and you keep buying.

  • Lady, there will be 415 billion cuts in Medicare...the expense for a woman over 65 will be between $210,000 and 406,000. Like most of the Democrats that put through this bill....YOU DID NOT READ IT.

  • @68BarbP Choosing a comment to reply to here is hard; you seem to have the best grammar.

I did read the bill. Most people haven't. If you've read it, you've clearly misunderstood it. There is a difference between "cuts" as you're saying and the reform to the program that the bill proposes. Focusing on spending money wisely rather than wastefully; isn't that supposed to be your thing, you republicans?

The people proposing straight cuts that would approximately HALVE the program - republicans.

  • U r brainwashed by the govt. Govt wants to tax us MOAR. Medicare is dying so they invented "HC REFORM" as a way to fund Medicare and other wasteful government spending.

Do you think government can run things effiiciently??? If so, you are sooo ignorant.

Ur speech is repeating the fantasy lies that govt puts out.

Repeat: There is NO MAGICAL reform. It's a TAX. Our deficit is out of CONTROL. WE OWE CHINA TRILLIONS why do u think we are treating China so nice now?!!

WAKE UP. HC Reform is a LIE!

  • Here's her mistake:

    1) The MANDATE 2300 pages of Taxes, Fees, Penalties, Restrictions, Punitive cuts, punitive mandates, snares, snags, religious intrusion, etc is all about getting every american in the system of paying so when the 50 Million Illegals swarm the country as AMNESTY Citizenry in coming months, YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR THEIR HEALTH CARE & THEIR WELFARE...

    2) The Bill kills seniors with a $500,000,000 Billion cut to the heart of medicare..

    3) The Bill makes teens pay for olders.

  • lolz canada has been giving free health care to "illegals" and yet we are proud to help those less fortunate... grow some balls and help someone.

  • On a sidenote im glad to see the townhalls. I would much rather have had the ability to voice my opinion at the politicians getting ready to sign in crappy bills such as the patriot act, than for them completly ignoring the public after they get voted in.

Thats democracy people. I mean have ever heard of the term "power to the people"? It scares me how much trust people put into the government. Blindly nodding away at 1000+ page bills why the politicians sell you like a used car.

  • This has nothing to do with Rush, Hannity and those blowholes.. People who think republicans are the ones taking Obamacare apart need to look at the statistics. Theres not even that many registered Republicans left.

Its the independents who help put Obama in power that are bringing the poll numbers down for Obama's healthcare. This is why his numbers are slipping. And if he doesnt want to be a one term president he won't ram this down our throats. And if he listens to the majority he won't.

  • Actually, the numbers for the "deathers" are remarkably similar to those of the "birthers." They make up about 28% of those registered as GOP...no quantifiable number of any other political group. Behind them, there are private health industry companies, the GOP, and "blue dog" Democrats who are both spreading false rumors and/or failing to correct false rumors. I feel that most Independents are confused about the debate, and would benefit from hearing honest information about reform.

  • oppose the obama scam phone your congressman and say NO ! (202) 224-3121

  • thank you so much!!! thanks for telling these idiots and why can't they read the damn health care reform and you watch these old fools screaming on top of their voices goes home and end up in the hospital..

  • Its the hottest girls that need to do the least work

  • 2.

At any rate, the content of this video is a massive (wide-eyed, cheery and oh-so naive) oversimplification of a "bill" that is comprised of 1,017 pages of government-grade euphemisms, that in all likelihood is still being deciphered today. Anyone reading this should search online for breakdowns of what's in this bill. You can start at Natural News Web site, on their article about this health care reform bill, which lists some of the crooked shit that can be found in it. Sad.

  • 1.

You state that private insurance will sometimes turn people down, which we all know, but you imply that under this health care reform no one will ever be turned down for anything, ever, which is completely asinine; at no point during this video do you state implicitly or explicitly anything to the contrary. I'm also curious as to whether or not you've actually sought out and read the bill (or 'any' part of it) on your own accord.

  • I am aware that people will be turned down for some treatment. Of course you will be. However, you will still be able to receive coverage, which is a big difference between the public option and the private market.

  • This plan will shut down the private insurance industry. The government will try to put out a better insurance policy, if (and this is a big if) they succeed, they will have a better product than the private insurance companies. This will take customers from private insurance companies, thus lowering their profits, not good for investors so they have to raise costs, thus losing more customers due to a cheaper plan being out on the market. Obama is a community organizer, not a business person.

  • I don't see this as a bad thing.

  • Wait until you get older and have to start worrying about the Obama councelors that are going to tell you how you should just die and save money for the young and dumb that post foolish videos on youtube.

NO to socialism, no to Obamacare, and no to your foolishness.

  • You didn't watch my video at all, did you?

  • Wow, you really are an idiot. You have no clue with what is going on. I bet you are one of these mouth breathing stooges going into the town halls to scream at the top of your lungs, or do you carry the Obama as a Nazi sign?. Get a clue you ignorant hillbilly, I know not having Faux News tell you what to think might be difficult, but really it isn't.

  • Here are 3 facts

    1. Im not a Republican

    2. We are 11+ Trillion in debt and close to 10% unemployed, how is adding a couple more trillion to the debt going to help?

    3. Why on earth would anyone trust our government to run our healthcare, when these are the same people that have taken away our freedoms with a stroke of the pen with the patriot act, Yes Obama did help vote this in. And take away our tax dollars bailing out the curropted banks and Wall Street?

    I don't trust politicians

  • That's fine, BUT we do need to talk about some kind of reform. The current system isn't sustainable. Medicare, which is essentially just government-provided insurance, NOT government-run health care, has been around for 44 years. Polls have shown that people with Medicare are on the whole happier than people who have private industry insurance. If Medicare has worked for 44 years, why shouldn't we consider extending an option like that to the public?

  • The reason people on Medicare is happier than people on private insurance is because the people on private insurance are paying for their own personal insurance AND the insurance of people on Medicare. The people on Medicare are happy because they are getting more stuff for free.

You also state that the current system isn't sustainable. Do you really expect the same people that are running it poorly right now to run it more efficiently when they add on another 47 million people?

  • The President is proposing major changes to Medicare Advantage, Medicare Part D, and the traditional Medicare fee for service program.(Contrary to your video comments)

Congress is faced with a $36 trillion unfunded liability in the Medicare program over the next 75 years. Medicare doesn't "work", the government just "takes" more money from the working taxpayer and throws it at the problem.

  • How about pre-existing condition insurance for homeowners, autos, etc. Walk in and say, yes I just had a fire, accident, etc. The liability could be astronomical, but cover me anyway and for the same low premium of my neighbor who has always had insurance and made no claims. That makes as much sense as you as a web designer charging the same amount for a single page, one time design job and for a five year contract, twelve site, five hundred page design job.

  • What is your basis for your assumptions about what "end of life" planning is as called for in the bill? Nothing presently exists to prevent a patient from speaking with their doctor about anything concerning their health. So why should the government mandate that a person "must" have a discussion every five years?

  • The basis for my "assumptions" is the EXISTING end of life planning that is a part of Medicare today. That is simply what end of life planning is. What is the basis of your assumptions? Pat Buchanan and Rush Limbaugh?

  • Furthermore, lack of proper end of life planning creates huge waste of money in medicine (and in litigation) when families start squabbling over something that should have been addressed before it even became an issue. End of life planning is smart. I'm only 25, and I've already written this sort of thing into my living will. Many people do. It will spare my family from having to make painful decisions about my life (and my death) should the situation, horrific as it is to think about, arise.

  • Obama has stressed that "we" must get health care costs under control. There are limited ways to do this. Be healthy so health care is not needed. Limit services. Limit fees paid for services. You must understand that cost is the driving force, so it follows that limiting access to and fees paid for service will be the logical course of action.

The health care bill speaks of "appropriate" and "cost effective" treatments and calls for penalties against doctors starting in 2014.

  • Beyond that, as little as I trust the government, I trust the private health insurance industry far less. The privately stated point of the industry is to profit by denying health care. The end. This shouldn't be the foundation of how we pay for health care in our country. The decisions of private insurance companies should not be the basis for deciding what treatment people receive.

Perhaps because I have struggled so much to get care through insurance, I understand this better than most.

  • cute and smart. it's so sad the right wages fear wars
