Your system specifications explains it, but still... slow!

Yeah, it's a bit slow... FPS drop when recording so I would say, if I get 10-15 in fraps while recording, that would be around 15-25 in game without recording. My fastest fps is around 35 in interiors and similar, and 20-25 in daylight and well cached places, but it drops to 15 with rain.

One of the good things of this game is that you can take several decissions during the main quest, which makes you end having some stuff, and not having other, or just viceversa.

Well, I DO have 4 gb of RAM but, the XP should only run 2 GB, so guess it wil only recognize 2 GB. But, as far as i can tell about my PC, IT DO HAVE 4 GB RAM, but the XP, as you say so, then should only run 2 GB RAM and the other 2 should be unused.

I don't know a lot about that stuff but, in my system Specs, it says 4 GB RAM @_@

Ok, i just checked my PC system sepcs for running GTA IV. and yes, it said i have 2.33 Ghz.

So it's not 4 unless i'll upadte it to Vista, where i'll be able to use it at 4.

BUT, my PC specs meets all requirements for minimum. As for Maximum, it has everythings except in CPU speed, wich the required is 2.40 Ghz (while i have 2.33) and CPU device (recommended is Core 2 Quad 2.4 Ghz, mine is Core 2 DUO 2.33 Ghz)

Sounds complicated... Woder if it wil run al least playable... Let's hope so!

OOPS, FOGOT WHAT I SAID. I HAVE 3 GB OF RAM!!!! I just checked on System Labs requirements, and the minimum for running this game is 2.5 RAM, while i have 3 RAM.

So my XP can run it at 3 GB RAM ^^!

As far as I know, XP only recognizes up to 3Gb, so you maybe have 4, but the system shows you 3. No pic needed at all.

Well keep in mind that this HD is far less big than my real playing resolution. I play at 1680x1050. The quality is not bad, but the damn framerate is s**t. But I don't want to lower it even more, or it will look like GTA3....

Well yeah, i already know that. You got to lower the traffic, graphics, Disable shadows, textures, special effects...

But, hell, call me crazy but, i don't really care much about graphics. Not that i totally don't care, graphics are an essential part in gaming but, i judge the game more for it's gameplay than graphics.

I'm thinking about buying the game but, if there is too much framerate issues, then i'll buy an Xbox360 and buy the game. Then i'll even buy The Lost and Damend expansion! ^^

Well, if you're a hardcore gamer then I would go for an xbox or ps3 I guess... it will save you lot's of headaches in this game and other ones. Unless you have an high-end PC and like (and can afford) to buy new upgrades periodically (processor, video card, etc...).

This game is not the best optimized one I've seen, but it's also true it handles lots of stuff at same time. It's resource hungry.

And it sure is one of those that deserves to be bought.

Well, because of the 4Gb, I guess you're runing Vista. My PC is a Core2Duo 6400 (2.10Ghz) and I have a 8800GT, so I don't know... core speed is important on this game, but also graphics card. It will be playable, but with low or low-medium settings I guess. Maybe medium with lot framerate (I run between 13-35, depending outdoor, indoor, rain, etc...).

If can you play Crysis, Oblivion, Age of Conan, and similar titles, you should be able to play this one too I guess... Good luck.

Well, then I'm sorry to say that XP, as far as I know, does not recognize more than 3Gb. That's why peoples has 2gb for XP, or 4Gb for Vista, because you can have have 2 in dual but not 3. I don't know what your config is, but I would be surprised if your system uses the 4gb at all...... If so, please tell me how you do it.
