They really did seem to have a lot in common & it's a shame we didn't get more one-on-one scenes between these two, especially in later seasons. I would've loved some Lorelai-Jess interaction in Season 6...I wonder if Lorelai ever found out that Jess was the one responsible for Rory getting her life back on track?
The awkwardness of this conversation and the way it goes proves that Jess isn't just a rude punk, he has some social skill problems, most obvious by the way he can't really look her in the eye. I wish they'd showed that side of him more. And I HATE that Rory ruined Jess/Lorelai bonding! Things could have gone so differently if these two had got along.
Oooh, goodie. I kinda like to see Jess and Lorelai short chemistry. They're both very cool, so they should have nice chemistry. Plus, it's still weird to think that someone who likes Rory would not like her mom, or vice versa. xD
There was also this small tiny moment in A DeepFried Korean Thanksgiving when Luke talks about giving thanks, and then Lorelai says Amen and Jess throws some sorta smirks her way. For some reason, I liked that. *smiles*

he found it when he bought rory's basket. it's hers so he's kept it. he probably have it on him all the time because it's RORY's. i don't think though that he knew it was Dean who made it,
