Aw, Man. I remember this commercial. Right when I was a teenager and my hormones were raging. The girl is Lisa Parker. No fake breasts from the looks of it;she just doesn't need it. Lisa Parker shows the natural and ideal shape of a woman. She's got the genes. The remake of this one by Elle Macpherson (sp?) just doesn't work as well, IMO. Elle is good looking, but she can't match Lisa's fabulous voluptuousness (hips). Who knows, maybe it's the camera angle (or my fond memory of this commercial).

Tab is still around. There is a discount warehouse near where I live that carries shipments of it from time to time. The groceries have it as well. It is just not advertised probably due to the advent of Diet Coke and the myriads of other brands.

This commercial was produced in 1979 by McCann-Erickson and first aired early that year. Somewhere, I have a 16mm print that was handed to me by one of the editors, of a "special" cut that never made it to air. It's just the girl coming out of the water and right into the camera for 30 seconds. Whoa.
