I read those articels for several years, and though most of them are over the top tabloid stuff, I enjoyed just reading it.

I was merely stating a fact, which is that there is a widespread view of Japan as a country with crazy sexual practices and a rather unfortunate view of women and paedophilic tendencies . One guy reporting these stories from Japanese into English doesn't mean he is some kind of monster.

See the video description and visit the suggested site. But there are copyrights involved and raunchy magazines don't show the articles online. So, it's hard for us to read both original and translated articles easily.

The Mainichi Daily News had displayed "hentai" as META tag in their web pages before some readers pointed it out recently.
They had distributed hentai news or porno stories until many people protested against those hentai stories in a corner called Waiwai in June 2008.

I think most problematic thing about this incident in that MDN wrote articles which were entirely fabricated and posted as if it was real. I don't care if one is liberal or communist, as long as it is the truth.
