It is 2:00 am.... as I went through all your tutorials and feel like I have been using Eagle my whole life! Thanks a lot for your time putting this excellent material together. Very clear, informative and concise!
Jason, so much thanks for the information.. My name is Kenny Hunter, I live in Ocala Florida, I am and Electrician by trade, but i love electronics. Until today i never new how to design a bread board, well your information was amazing, I loved it. I wonder if you be interested in helping me with a small project that I have in mind, and if you can i will pay you for your time. Please get back with me when you can, again you were great... My email: khunter26@gmail.com
Thank you so much, Jason. I appreciate you taking the time to create these excellent tutorials. Now I can start creating my own PCBs using EagleCAD thanks to you.
Thanks so much for all the time you've spent here!
I just went through all 12 tutorials, and coming from knowing near to nothing about this sort of thing, I now feel that I can at least make my way around this sort of thing well.
Jason, I have just completed Part 12, each and every Part is superbly presented and has helped me 101% to choose Eagle's product. Your presentation skills are terrific.
Thanks Jason for such comprehensive tutorial on Eagle. Today I watched all 12 videos and learnt all the procedures and practiced all the steps. It was a great help :)
cool : ) i wonder, when you receive your PCB's from a board house, do you have to cut them out with a hack saw lol : P?or is there a way to create snap off points or select a type of "v" cut scoring in eagle? Also when you have multiple designs or wish to make multiple copies of an individual design, is it possible in eagle to compose a larger board with these designs on with the snap off points?I am sure your busy, but i thought i'd add some questions incase you ever make a DVD: )i'd buy it
@rainbowsalads Sorry, I missed this post. Yes, when I get them back, they are already pre-cut from the house. Most houses will also V-score a panel, meaning they run a v shaped rotary cutting tool down your borders, on both the top and bottom of the board and that leaves the panel in tact, but gives you an easy way to separate them. ,You just need to snap the boards apart when you get them. This is usually only useful when assembling a whole bunch at one time.
@rpcelectronics Thanks Jason. : ) sounds great to use a board house, with pre cut board , holes drilled, via's created, tinned surface, and no ferrric chlorid stained shirt, beats making a board at home for sure. lol : P
I second a tutorial on modifying existing library parts. I'm currently having trouble creating a automotive relay library part. the eagle cad tut on instructables are not well done and dont compare to rpcelectronics.
Thank you for taking the time to make this great tutorial, this program is an awesome timesaver, however
I have a problem, when switching from schematic to PCB an automatic boardline does not get created. I started with 5.8 then upgraded to 5.11 and same problem.
When creating a pov file it gives me an error message but creates it anyway but is unable to run it in povroy, I've googled like crazy but haven't found any solutions.
@rainbowsalads In all honestly, there were really no other questions that I could add to the list. However, I have been learning a few tricks for navigating the schematic and board editor WITHOUT a wheel mouse. I might do a short video on that.
@rainbowsalads Thanks! No problem. I didn't mean to sound annoyed by what you said, I was just saying that I set out to have this grand list of questions and when it came down to it, the list wasn't as grand as I had envisioned :o) However, I have ideas for more videos in mind. I am considering a small series on creating custom parts libraries.
I watched your whole series, and i have to say you did a great job.
It's really useful for beginners like me, thank you!
