Dear BoundInChains ....They most definitely weren't CRAZY !!!!! They had brains instead ....They appreciated great football....but weren't brain dead , like most of today's fans are !!!!

@MrBazzabee Is there some communication gap in here? Or maybe I am not understanding your response. lol. I wasn't asking whether they were insane or crazy. I was asking if the people of those times were really into the game. Or in other words, was football as popular and did football generate as much interest as it does now? LOL :D

Dear BoundInChains ..Sorry, if U R offended by my comment...I didn't mean 2 do that !!..However in answer 2 ur question ..If i'm not much mistaken- average attendances were far greater the further back you go in the last century (alright,average capacity was probably far greater aswell!) These days some of the Prem/ship are only @ capacity due 2 Safety regs,Current success-etc.-and..smaller clubs,now don't get support they should due 2 the T.V.-e.g. folks in Bury/Swindon supporting say,Arsenal

its very dissapointing how here in mexico we get fed up with bullshit through television, we wont do shit in the next world cup just like this one in 66, and its all because there's unfortunately much more love for money than for the sport.
but i think england has a big chance this year
