This is still ska-punk, just has a little bit more of that "New Wave" sound added in. Horn arrangements replaced with synthesizer spikes and all that, but the underlying ska-punk instrumentation is still there. Think the lovechild of Devo and Madness.

Who knows. All we know is that their ska days have been over for a while. Plus, there are other bands that use uptrokes that aren't ska bands (Ex: Storm in a Teacup by Milburn).
