I never understood the whole tea party protests really. For one thing, there was no uniform consistency regarding the theme of the protest. It seems that a significant portion was against being taxed. Why protest being taxed? I can understand protesting the fact that Americans have no say in how tax dollars is allocated, protesting the existence of the Federal Reserve, and demanding that USA currency is based the gold standard. That is all fine and good. But to protest being taxed?
