  • @TheTeenLyricist RICKY ROSS THE BOSS

  • @TheTeenLyricist

I was with ya until you said Rick Ross. He's garbage. Really, he is. To put him in the same list as Elzhi or Lupe is blasphemous.

Gotta give Mos Def some shout out. He's not only super skilled but he keeps it pro-black. Gotta luv that.

  • @Feelin2nice No i dont like rick ross , i was jusy ranking those guys , the guy before me asked whos better in which order . I personally dont like rick ross . My personal list is actually different

  • LMFAO @ you if you think there's a better rapper than Elzhi out there

  • @deadlyErnest1 no doubt...

  • This defines a real rap song. Most underrated rapper I have ever seen... Elmatic was fire aswell

  • I had to stop for breath at 0:26

  • killin it

  • I will never thank you enough Elzhi for keeping hip hop alive despite all thoses pop warrior that managed to turn snoop dogg to one of the weakest popstarr alive

  • Sick, Elzhi and KnowMads bringin Hip Hop back!

  • @logicthencypter that doesnt even make sense?. how is that 2nd top comment? wow. nas was in the game wayy b4 elzhi so how is nas an older el when el was younger?.. wtf hahah fail

  • @eRicSoNsAmofO LOL, it does make sense, it's the same thing as "eLZhi is a NaS upgrade" or somethin' like that...

  • black milk?

  • @philsbootleg Yep

  • Elzhi needs to start working with producers like DJ Premier, Large Professor, Madlib (His undefeated freestyle was CRAZY; I hope a collab album is in the works) and Apollo Brown some more (He by far is the most underrated producer!). I just wish he could do some more songs with One Be Lo!!!! They only have like 4-5 songs together!!! makes no sense!

  • @IBlackThought9 Large Professor has already reached out to him... and there's gotta be a DJ premier track in the future... i'm hoping Elzhi links up with some J Dilla and Alchemist production again

  • if i was lookin for a new artist to bump to, i would check ME out. lol, i see alot of people sayin hip hop is dead. nope, its just hidden n im tellin you where to look: click my name and give me a chance. i PROMISE you wont have wasted your time. #REALHIPHOP subscribe & comment :)

  • I can't believe I called myself a hip hop head but just now today really started to listen to Elzhi. Damn he is great. I cannot put him above Nas right now. Nas has too many great songs. Can anyone put me on to Elzhi's best songs?

  • @union410 Look up his mixtapes/albums. The preface, witness my growth, elmatic, and the leftovers unmixed tape. All great releases.

  • @IxCLuTcHxI dont forget europass which this song is on

  • Nas was good but elzhi is killin it now! People stop living in the past lol. Elzhi is way more consistent then nas and elzhi can freestyle lmao

  • i fuckin love elzhi

  • we missed our chance with canibus we cant miss our last chance with elzhi...viva la lyricist!

  • I just poured some fiery soul on an Elzhi song and posted it up

  • he raped, took a shit on, then shot this beat

  • I love this shit

  • FIIIIIIIYYAAAHHHHHH!!!

  • @extrahustle Just because nas is more acclaimed does not make him better then elzhi.

  • OH MY F*CKING ......I'm a Christian so I am not supposed to say that...BUT ___DAMN!!!!! THIS NIGGA IS THE TRUTH!!!!!!!! IF ANYBODY THINKS ELZHI IS JUST "GOOD"...YOU MUST BE LISTENING TO GOD HIMSELF SPITTING OR YOU NOT REALLY LISTENING AT ALL!!! THIS MAN IS RIPS ON EVERY TRACK!!!!...AND I MEAN EVERY TRACK... !!!

  • OH MY F*CKING ......I'm a Christian so I am not supposed to say that...BUT ___DAMN!!!!! THIS NIGGA IS THE TRUTH!!!!!!!!

  • he kills EVERY SINGLE song!!

  • I see some wayne versus going on in here. If you think Weezy is as good as this, you need your head checked. Wayne couldn't carry Elzhi's fucking luggage. The only Wayne shit that was good (except for a few songs here and there) was the shit that GDK wrote for him.

  • LL is not even top 10 all-time. Maybe top 20.

  • this is the remix

  • elzhi taught me how to rap lol its crazy

  • elzhi, jay elec, lupe, nas,. never seen any rappers better than any of these 4 word.

  • wow

  • too late for an apology, a style from me has more star quality than astrology.....nice

  • ELZHI=GOAT..... who's touchn EL's pattern? Who? REAL DETROIT SHIT RIGHT HERE!!!!!! 313 till the death

  • The man with the pen is illing when he's into spilling again, been as healing as penicillin

THATS IT CUT THE TRACK STOP IT OYI OYI OYI TOO MUCH

  • If you're body can suck and inhale, and blow out, then no doubt, you're probably not fucking with L

  • Underground Artists, Elzhi, One be Lo, Cormega, etc need to save hip-hop ofr the next decade.

  • 【ツ】Have a happy New Years Hip Hop Nation RIP to Baatin【ツ】

  • For: the ones in shadows ,He isnt Underrated, its just that his name has not yet been yet Elevated from the underground...

  • stop comparing Elzhi to any1 else mothafuckas, thats disrespectful coz elzhi is on a whole different level, league, and mind frame

  • @eRicSoNsAmofO Mainstream Artists all have the same mind frame, but all Real Artists have a different mind frame.. That's what makes real music.

  • @eRicSoNsAmofO Actually I'm a fan of Elzhi...but its clear he pulls from alot of Nas stuff. From swag to lyrical delivery. Anybody who can't see that is blind. Doesn't meant that he's wack. That's sometimes though. Not on every song or every verse. And that's not a diss either. If its someone to sound like or be like its someone who respects and loves Hip Hop also. Elzhi is niiiiiiiiice......

  • @extrahustle so youre basing your arguement of elzhi ripping of nas, off the fact that he doesnt do it in every song or verse?

in that case, em is ripping off Joell ortiz - cause he's older, and off big pun and off of tupac, eventho he doesnt do it in every song or verse. dude. get straight, its near impossible not to sound similar to ANYONE all the time, and elzhi does it well. when there's just 1 guy he sounds like --- sometimes -- and that guy is nas. well proof enough elzhi is tru fire

  • @Phaktafiserer Nah its clear that Eminem rips too. Jay Z is a big ripper. But those who rip and do it with a taste of paying hommage then its good. Its when people front like they aint rippin that fucks it up. I clearly stated that Elzhi pulls from Nas. This is fact. He has his own Detroit boy approach and experience but that's how Nas do it right there. It is difficult not to rip others. That's why we give the orignators so much respekt and credit. Welcome 2 Hip Hop my culture.....

  • @extrahustle dude.. r u retarded? nas has been around for longer than elzhi, and if not. elzhi didnt rip off of him :) easy as that, and .... yeah ...... lol, thats like saying I rap as nas, just for putting in artistical breaks in my bars, nugga. get over yourself you're wrong

  • @Phaktafiserer Nah..its clear. And Elzhi quotes Nas as one of his influences. So you are in fact incorrect. Of course Nas being around much longer and havign a much stronger effect and presence in Hip Hop than Elzhi could have a ton to do with it. You walk around with your foot in your mouth for a living? I put $ on it that your not doing well economically either. You don't sound like you have the intellectual capacity to attain such heights. So grab your remote and watch tv like a good sheep...

  • @extrahustle this is an interesting convo...I wish it didnt get personal...anyway Elzhi has a similar delivery to Nas which shows influence, Guru is the originator of this type of delivery, but understand their flow and voice is very different...Elzhi is much more pliable with his flow and lyrical structure...Nas is great but he is not lyrically as good as Elzhi...I enjoy both of them but Elzhi puts more into the lyrics than Nas also Elzhi gets consistently better and we hav witnessed Nas not

  • @sliccmoufschalaa Bahahahaha....Elzhi has yet to receive critical acclaim for an entire album of work by himself lyrically. Nas did that on his 1st effort. You foolin yourself. Lemme see Elzhi do a track like " I Know I can" and break it down to the basic simple flow and still keep the content loaded. Or lemme see Elzhi go in on a track like Nas on and defeat an opponent like he did on Ether. Lemme see Elzhi have as many bitten flows or lines as Nas. Elzhi gotta grind more b4 he get @ that level

  • @extrahustle You are completely right with everything you said...Nas came out a beast...I know I can was a phenom esp the way he got down to bare bones with it...and he ripped Jay Z with Ether...but none of this gets at the point of what I said...if you listen to all of Elzhi he has switched his flow up numerous times and his lyrical structure has more variance than anybody in the game and he does that on purpose...Nas is not lyrically as good as Elzhi but he(Nas) is the better overall rapper

  • @sliccmoufschalaa Nas will destroy Elzhi lyrically. Elzhi doesn't have what it takes to demand the world's attention. Nas has already done that. Numerous times. The proof is in the pudding. Favoritism won't aid you in a debate based on facts. Nas is the lyrical superior. I respect Elzhi but he hasn't switched his flow as much as Jigga has so please don't bore me. I'm in the industry. WE do this all day. It doesn't stop for me when I log out of youtube....

  • @extrahustle I work in the music industry as well youtube... is entertainment to me and also a place to see opinions that vary...Im not attempting to debate with you I only wish to have a discussion...what I said was based on lyrics and not mass appeal...if it was based on demanding the world's attention lil wayne would be better than both of them

  • @sliccmoufschalaa I wasn't basing mine off mass appeal. I just included mass appeal because he's crossed that off on his rise also unlike Elzhi. You see Run DMC had crazy success and mass appeal and they were Hip Hop. They set trends. They made history and not just songs. So they are legends. Lil Wayne will be a legend by the time he is done hate it or love it. Because he has made a mark. History. Its not just about cunning wordplay and extravagant double entendres. The culture is about history.

  • @extrahustle i disagree. i think wayne and 90% of the today's mainstream ain't even hip hop so i won't consider any of them a legend. i've listenin' to nas for a minute and elzhi like year and a half, i have a lot of shit from both and sure elzhi as a lot from nas, but bar for bar el is like an updated version. if you think he has not deep lyrical content then you clearly didn't listen to half of his material.

  • @rmsg120nsb elzhi has the album of the decade,if skills did matter, that would have been modern day illmatic.

plus you, myself and the all the real hip hop heads are still bumpin' illmatic, kids from my age don't even know who nas is. it is a classic but think if nas made an album like that in 2011,for sure we would consider it a classic but it wouldn't have the same impact in the industry and in the culture. hip hop's image has changed, the 90's were dope and dope in the 00's is just hard to find.

  • @rmsg120nsb SIgh....I didn't say deep. I said his subject matter and what he's brought to the game hasn't measured up. Wayne got a simple word like bling added to the dictionary. Wayne reinvented himself and came with a different angle. Created his own lane. I think Elzhi is dope but album of the decade? Bahaha...now for sure I know you don't know this culture of mine. You're just choosing favorites. I don't even like some of the considered greatest but I know they are. Elzhi's good...that's it

  • @extrahustle he ain't just good and i can tell you "the preface" got me more satisfied than any other album that came out in the 00's and el ain't even on his prime. all i was sayin' in the matter of skills, i really there are a few dead or alive that can fuck with, but maybe you're right, i'm just choosin' favorites.

  • @rmsg120nsb Elzhi ain't on his prime?! Bahahahahaha....listen man....Nas did more than Elzhi lyrically before the age of 21 which is the legal drinking age in most places LOL.....you're only fooling yourself....Elzhi's a grown ass man and hasnt' garned a wiggle of a wave in this culture as much as Nas. And its not a cult following. Check the credits. Check the innovative songs. Check the culture....and definitely check history....cuz @ the end of the day Nas is acclaimed greater than Elzhi....

  • @extrahustle and when he got into this, it was already all about the appeal, not about the skill, nas came up in the era when skills did matter and he wasn't even the best of that era. and el ain't reachin' his prime because SV was already holdin' his talent back, he went solo in 07 and he's better than he was with sv. plus, if you knew so much about el, you'd know that he's always improvin', searchin' new ways to flow and new shit to write.

  • @rmsg120nsb Bahahahah! Nas was in fact the best of that era! First NY solo rapper to ever hit Platinum. He did that before Big did. Bahahahaa...you're soooo clueless and so out of the loop Enjoy figuring it out. LMAO has been a blast but really you'er not saying anything that makes sense and you dont' back it up with facts. You just throw out opinions. And with a dude like me who has the access to the real information by just picking up my phone I'm bored with your lack of sense of my culture.

  • @rmsg120nsb bahahahaha...there's always cats looking to be creative and up their game. You think Elzhi's the only one? LMFAO....useless..Just say you like him or respekt him. He's not one of the best. He's nice dont' get me wrong but he definitely has not transcended what it takes to be in the top 5 or top 10 or 20. Nut hugging isn't making anyone believe you. Elzhi has to convince the world. Not some opinionated youtube viewer LOL. You really lack the knowledge its funny...

  • @extrahustle Thank you I fully agree hes good but not the best or the greatest.Sometimes in Hip Hop people starve for a so called conscience MC and they cling to that MC.Nas is the same way hes good but I think he has more of a cult following than anything.

  • @extrahustle Elzhi is just good ? He's dope ! Who cares is wayne added bling to the dictionary

  • @90mv Never said that made him weaker than Wayne. Just pointed out that a simple thign as Bling being mass popularized from a street anthem that Wayne started on a BG track that made waaaaay more waves in Music and not just Hip Hop than anything Elzhi has done. I'm talking facts. EVeryone sticking to this Elzhi is the next great is just wishful thinking. Just enjoy his music. Don't try to lie and make him something he is not. We on the inside know exactly who's up to par and who's not....

  • @extrahustle we know elzhi's work and for us, "the outsiders" he's one of the greatest. you're just hatin'. el is part of the greatest underground legacy, slum village, we don't give a shit bout you or any other industry puppet say, cause for real, el is bar for bar better than nas and he has the fuckin' full package to be the greatest, period. and yes, he's a grown ass man, but ny and la had the major atention in hip hop at the 90's, not detroit

  • @rmsg120nsb LMFAO....don't care. Cuz you're talking favoritism. I'm not a puppet. Everything I do is 100% out of our independent organization. I engage in what works for us and don't sign with what doesn't. Personally I get to see alot. VIPs. Backstages...to every concert. Conferences. My phone is loaded with people you could only dream of calling lol. SO nah I could careless about you. No matter what you say you're still wrong. And no matter what you say we still move forward. So excuse my yawn

  • @extrahustle B.G. was responsible for "Bling bling" being added to the dictionary.

  • @bigrobdeezey fuckin retard...do your research before you speak. Lil Wayne invented bling bling period. I'm in the game you outside lookin in n talkin nonsense......

  • @extrahustle all I'm saying is that it was BGs song. Wayne was on the hook, that's it. Dude didn't invent that, and it was BGs song that made it famous. PS, you are probably garbage on the mic, so I mean, really, I don't have to fucking respect you in the slightest.

  • @bigrobdeezey Bahahaha....BG was impressed with Wayne's "IDEA" and ran with it and the recorded the song based on the Bling Bling idea that Wayne brought up when they were vibing in the studio. #2 I could careless if you respect me. You are not in this industry. You're a sappy lil outsider who's catching feelings cause the truth hs been written. Hate it or love it Wayne brought "BLING" to the magnitude and popularity that it is. And it made headlines when it made the dictionary crediting Wayne

  • @extrahustle and let me enter your perspective, eminem is better than nas?

  • @rmsg120nsb Nope. Eminem is great. Definitely one of the all time greats. But he's not better than Nas. A peer of Nas? Absolutely. Nas doesn't have a doctor Dre to back his already sick lyrical skills. Yet he still murders it. Not that Dr. Dre has anything to do with Em's skill. But he definitely has to do with his production. Overseeing his album and sor forth. There's alot more to this game that goes on behind the scenes that yall are clueless about....Em is not better than Nas.

  • @bigrobdeezey I'm very happy that you're upset. WE having a ball laughin at you right here in "MY" studio. Cause I have the excess capital to not only own 1 but 2. So guess what you youtube loser....I don't have to or need to rap. But I'll tell you what...I could rap circles around you all day off the top of my head. No need for resorting to corny punchlines or gimmicks just raw spit. I been in this industry for just under a decade now. And talking to you makes sense why Hip Hop is sucking now..

  • @extrahustle Come on, now. You're full of shit. You have some sort of complex. Hip hop doesn't belong to anyone. Get a fucking clue. And, you're nowhere near making top dollar in the industry. One more thing, I know you don't expect everyone on here to believe that you could rap circles around anyone. You talk too tough to be able to back it up. You're full of hot air. Come the fuck on.

  • @bigrobdeezey I don't talk tough I talk facts. And top dollar in the industry is not what I said I make. But I can tell you one thing I make waaay above your lil measley income. I never said I could rap circles around Elzhi. I said I could rap circles around the idiot who tried to say sumthing about rapping. I don't have a comlplex. Its facts the people running the game are us. You just buy the product. Simple. Maybe not Interscope $ but definitely not too shabby lol...not too shabby @ all....

  • @extrahustle see, i ain't talkin' bout money, mass appeal or goin' platinum. you are makin' it sound like that's what hip hop is all about. all i'm sayin' is that lyrically elzhi>nas, not WAY better, but better. and yes, i already knew nas was the first ny mc to go plat, kool g rap never went platinum and he's one of the greatest, could rhyme circles around nas any day though. goin' platinum has its value but there are tons of rappers that go platinum status and don't have skills.

  • Comment removed

  • @bigrobdeezey Hip Hop doesn't suck becaue of the music....it sucks because of uneducated outside of our culture fans. Yall have no idea what's really going on behind or in front of the scenes. SO its really I who doesn't respect you. I get so much money in this game. I've seen rappers come and go and we're still at it. Newsflash....artists don't make nowhere close to the top dollar in this industry. Us "insiders" do. And we don't have to accept you fans...which is the greatest joy....

  • @extrahustle one more thing, do your own fucking research. Rappers were saying "Bling bling" for decades before that song came out, so as far as Weezy "inventing it" you're mistaken. Period.

  • @bigrobdeezey I know it wasn't invented by Weezy per say. But it was him that came up with it and it ended up being a BG song..if you know anything about this industry you'd know that alotta times ideas come in the form of conversation then it's like a lightbulb goes off and the idea for the song begins. Wayne brought it up and it became a song for BG. BG gave Wayne respect for coming up with it that he had him do the hook....which is what everybody knows and sings....nice try you outsider....

  • @extrahustle Nas has changed his lyrical content but not his flow or delivery I recognize Nas as being the better overall rapper and he is certainly more well recieved but he doesnt compare to Elzhi when it comes to the lyrcial structure of a verse...don't get me wrong though Nas is one of the best that ever did it!! Im not a fan of LL but if you add all the factors of being a rapper he is clearly the best overall but he cant lyrically touch the ability of Talib or Mos Def but overall hes better

  • @sliccmoufschalaa Yawn......Now you way off. All I"m sayin is lzhi clearly draws his influence from Nas. Whether he switches flows is neither here nor there with me. Listen to the bulk of his body of work and check the rhyme pattern alotta Nas in there. Listen to Glow with Jake One and Royce the 5'9". LOL. YOu only foolin yourself. Listen with your ears. Close your mouth stop typing and listen. The influence is clear....and the lyrical content is not as high period.....

  • @extrahustle it is apparent that you haven't heard Elzhi's complete body of work I enjoy El and Nas both...I was speaking on his lyrical bar patterns being better not either one being better as a complete artist Its almost impossible to do a true comparative analysis on two artists from different eras early nineties hip hop is completely different than what we hear today...I listen on my 9 to 5.

  • @sliccmoufschalaa bahahaha...it is very possible to do a true comparison. 2 separate eras but you gotta check the bars. Check what each have contributed to the art. Check what impact each have had on the culture. Check who has made legend and who has just made songs. There's many topics to compare and each are very valid. These comparison's are what have us still bumping illmatic in 2011 and into the future while Elzhi's greatness might fade into obscurity....

  • @extrahustle I see your point the reason I say you can't compare them because you dont know what effect that artist may have in a different era... or where would Elzhi be if Nas was not there to influence him or where would Nas be without the influence of Rakim but like you said you can check the bars and thats where Elzhi outshines Nas not as an artist...Nas has definatly left his mark on the industry and the culture El just has a more sophisticated bar structure

  • @sliccmoufschalaa Nah. LL is not the best overall. His subject matter isn't diverse enough and I have all his releases. He is revered because he has never lost a Hip Hop battle. Or should I rephrase that. No artist has ever made a better battle record than his against theres lol. That's more appropriate. Because lyrically he hasn't really ahem...raised the bar lol...Come on man I thought you said your in this industry too.....

  • @extrahustle LL is the blueprint of a solo rapper just think about all of the classics in all of the decades and all of the firsts he has...hes not my favorite by a long shot but I have to give him credit.

  • @extrahustle bro have you heard eveything that elzhi made hes very clever. as a wordsmith no ones touching him period but you right nas is better but we do have to give elzhi a chance he hasnt been able to get that time.

  • @rj689 Bro I have heard and I ain't impressed with his full body of work like that. I'm down wit the Elzhi movement but not to the point of being blinded thinking he's on the level of Nas. Give whom a chance? Nas took his chance. Snatched that shyt. Made us respekt it. Elzhi gotta do the same. Too much talent in this deep GLOBAL pool for me to stop and wait for his legendary dope emcee egg to hatch. He good. Just not that good.....

  • @eRicSoNsAmofO shit hes in a different sport then these other people

  • @eRicSoNsAmofO come on u gotta admit he does sound like nas a little tho....

  • @eRicSoNsAmofO HELL YA BUDD!!!

  • @eRicSoNsAmofO what if you compare people to him?

  • @Hahahahahaahahhahaha then the people being compared to him better appreciate it

  • sounds bare like Nas

  • new version of Nas

  • @samichi93 nas a old version of elzhi in my opinion

  • ice SMOOTH flow and delivery...

  • that real right here .elzhi killin em wit the lyrics

  • SLUM VILLAGE

  • Real hip hop

  • still chargin ill jargon with skill that could kill squadrons when reavealed its all in ya grill like the drill seargent

2 mean 2 spleen this is daily routine if u seen

quote a new green in my blue jeans

knuckle every clown always chuckle bareley frown

pistol hid between the buckle like huckelberry hound

when i came we're down to strike the game in they say that i'm fire

u just got fired for sounding like u flaming! the 8 from the remix must get some props crazy bars

  • Indeed, this is straight FIYAAAAA

  • Man oh man Elzhi is the nicest in the game right now lyrically and that is included eeveryooone.... Lyrically he got hip hop on his MF'n back right now jack!!

  • Oh My GOD..nuff said

  • BEAST MODE!

  • best song on the album....elzhi's verse is retttttaaaarrrrrddeeeeedd!!

  • beastly

  • Never realized what a beast producer Black Milk was until Slum's Reunion.

  • THIS SHIT IS SO LYRICAL...DRAKE whO??

  • @lightersnatcher what i been saying since witness my growth. and he doesnt keep saying "like a"

  • soooo underrated! his rhymes complete me. they r my life <3

  • rhyme scheme is nearly unparralled

  • El, stop spending so much time in Europe! Waiting for the next show at St. Andrew's Hall

  • THIS IS HIP-HOP!

  • Black Milk is a fool for this one, definitely one of my favorite producers, I wanna see him work with more artists..Him producing for Slaughterhouse would be crazy
