YES a cutout is good. I've got Pacesetter LT's with an ORY and a Magnaflow cat-back on mine. The Magnaflow system sounds good, but when I uncork it, it's stupidly loud.
i want the loudest exhaust on my ws6 anysuggestions??? my car is loud but i want more, i dunno if i should put a cutout, or resonators, or glasspacks, help please!!!!
Go with true duals with some flowmasters and before the cat converter have a two y pipes with some electric cutout that's a start. You can also go with an aggressive cam.
cut out is good, but don't run with it open all the time (kills you mpg and your engine likes a certain amount of backpressure) as for just a nice exhaust setup i would advise Borla (my opnion no flame pls) as it is nice and throaty but isn't obnoxiously loud (that's what the cut out is for :P ) Also, modifying your intake, a full cat-back and adding some headers will drasticly improve overall volume and sound quality.
@casperfaust I disagree that having the cutout open kills MPG. I've been doing tests with mine on highways and such with the cutout open and I think it improves MPG. I won't know until I've been through a few tanks, but I'll eventually know.
For some reason SLP has kind of a bad reputation. I think they make up bogus horse power claims for their products. However, anyone who says a full SLP exhaust (headers, LM, no cats) doesn't sound good is probably a ricer or a girl. If I could I would have one for sure.
the loudmouth I exhaust is one of the best sounding exhaust systems for the 4rth gen F-body's aand 2muchmark is just a fag who don't know what he is talkin about

To me, the Loudmouths sound just as bad as those cheap little pipe add-ons that Honda drivers use to make their 4cyl's sound bigger. Cheap, Loud, Crappy.

Hi - it doesn't sound good, it sounds like shit. NEVER buy the "Loudmouth" exaust system sold by SLP and others. The word you can use to describe the sound is "RUDE". Seriously, its a cheap exaust system (about $700). Upgrade to the Camero High Performance Exuast system instead. The Loudmouth Exaust is for kids.

Fuck, i hate when they spell it incorrectly.
The SLP loudmouth 1 is a great exhaust for the money i would rate it #2 to the GMMG chambered catback.

I have the SLP Loudmouth on my 2000 Trans Am along with hooker long tube headers and hooker y pipe. It's sound good and it's loud as hell.
