  • i just wanted to know the norwegian black metal bands language! not their alphabet!

  • 6:00 for a good time

  • Er du fra Stavanger?

  • haha, må le av den musikken i bakgrunnen :p

  • dude, are you high? you look reaaaally high

  • @Kimusia I think he's high as a kite..

  • Too bad for the loud background music

  • Bokmål?

  • this guy is epic! hahaa!!!

  • 3:13... XD

  • Thx for making this video , it helped alot :) . But this music is killing me :D:D what is the name of this music ??

  • Hahahahaha, ikkje bra

  • Det er noe feil med han x] Hohoho ..

  • han er ikke norsk han er lensing av av datamaskinen hans :)

  • Hvor er du ifra? O.o

  • PH THATS THE SOUND OF PEE .... xD

  • Mexico has Doctor less abortions and drugs, Africa has AIDS and dirty water, America has a horrible control freak government, And Norway has taxes. Every country has their problems don't hate on Norway.

  • @6FaceDrak Don't you hate paying the high tax rate in Norway. Theres something wrong somewhere when you have to pay a minimum tax rate of 30% when you have a supposedly strong economy supported by oil......

  • @philster611 Education is paid for, healthcare is paid for, maternity leave, ect.. It is socialism. There are drawbacks but in the end, it can be a nice system. In the U.S., you pay for your healthcare, college, left to fend for yourself, ect. In the end, you would probably be paying close to the same anyway.

Many people come to U.S. for privatized healthcare so they can be seen more quickly too.

Some say it is a horrible system. Some say it is not.

  • @TheRagingFoxhound WTF? Education is paid for by the student, You wanna study in Norway you gotta pay for it.... Like anywhere else.....Maternity leave? Most countries in the western world have maternity leave.....healthcare? Anywhere in Europe has health care.

It isn't Socialism in Norway , its bordering on Communism. Don't pundits call it the last country of Communism in Europe?

  • @philster611 Maternity leave is greater in length. and It is also paid. School is covered so long as you meet certain requirements. If you are out of country, good luck...

Norway has the highest standard of living. They also have a free market. It would make a very nice place to retire.

It works because it is a small country. It would never work in the U.S.

It is not a communist country.

  • @TheRagingFoxhound "It is not a communist country". Really?? If you are a Norwegian tourist, and you hire the intimate services of a prostitute, either in Norway or out, you are subject to being arrested and charged.....And there are even sex tourism police in chosen tourist destinations.....Not communist huh?

  • @philster611 Yes really.

This is a piss poor example. The same thing is done across he U.S. all the time. It is done with prostitutes, drugs. They even go as far as to plant an expensive bike in a poor neighborhood and wait for some poor bastard to steal it. Communist much?? All it is is a method of stopping crime. If someone is breaking the law, they should be arrested and charged...

  • @TheRagingFoxhound Only in heavily communistic regulated Norway and its poorer neighbour(Sweden) would they criminalise it in the first place....Its an invasion of privacy and oversteps the line....There is a difference between criminalising prostitution and drugs. Besides, Norway is known as the overdose capital of Europe. Over 7000 registered heroin users in Oslo. Just like Moscow had during the 90s. The Afghanistan opium making its way to Norway

  • @philster611 You failed to address what I have said about the U.S. doing the same. You can not just keep rambling off your opinion while I have refuted it. The U.S. must be very communistic according to you. Then you just randomly switch to drug use???

So, less than .5 percent of Oslo has a heroine problem. HALF A PERCENT. That is really good actually. See, drug use is looked at differently to. REGISTERED. It is ok for the state to know. It is a good thing actually.

  • @TheRagingFoxhound For some strange reason you seem to use the U.S as a comparison whereas I have not mentioned the U.S in any of my posts. Why would I since I do not come from there. You assumed I was from the U.S so you used a lame argument. Norway tried to adopt U.S thinking but uses Soviet methods. And if you agree that less than .5 percent of heroin addicts is a good thing to have, well that says it all....

  • @philster611 I assumed this only because you said people would be upset in the U.S. if they were taxed like Norway. You do see why I would then use the U.S. as a comparison? Would that not be the best comparison if one was from there? Forgive me for my assumption. My argument is not lame. How so is it?? I do not think addiction is good, but it exists. Half a percent is not bad at all considering other large cities.

  • @TheRagingFoxhound I could have used Canada or Australia although a civil war would be less likely there than in the U.S. No prob. You don't have to apologize for anything you put forward. I relish the debate believe me... And you are correct, your argument is not lame so I apologize for Ad Hom. It is not intended...I agree. Addiction is not good. My point is that Norwegians make their country out to be a paradise on earth, but whenever I point out these issues, they deny

  • @philster611 Anyway, back to the main point. Just because they use borderline entrapment does not make it communistic. This is my argument. Present me with something that is communistic and I shall agree.

Why even mention the U.S. and taxation like Norway in the first place then??

  • @TheRagingFoxhound And quite simply TRF, I mention it because I pay Norwegian tax. And the only protest I can make is here. Norway is a land of harsh regulation. I moved there in the early 90's. (wife and later kids) So I have seen the change it has gone through.. I loved it when I first moved thee but now it has taken political correctness and government control to the extreme... Many people and not just myself have made comparisons to Communism.

  • @TheRagingFoxhound I used the example of illegal prostitution because it is a glaring example in is ridiculousness. Many journalists have commented against it. Simply because it oversteps the line into someones private life. Which reeks of Communism. the Brevik incident hardly helped matters as it has almost reflected the Bush Administrations actions after 9/11.....

  • @philster611 I agree about prostitution. I believe in all civil liberties. Prostitution, marijuana, gay marriage, abortion. Whatever. It is all up to the individuals involved. What has the Brevik incident done? Like wire tapping and such?

I wanted to live in Norway when I got older and retired and all. So. all in all. Do you no longer like it?

  • @TheRagingFoxhound The Brevik incident has done exactly what it was supposed to do..Norway is even more controlled than it used to be... Democracy in free fall...Unless you pay half your life saving away to the Communist Norwegian Government then you will NOT be able to retire there. And why would you? Can'y imagine any miserable a place to spend your last days. Cold, expensive, over rated, over priced, insular remote people,Boring, depressing.

  • @philster611 Where are you from ?

  • @TheRagingFoxhound I just wanted to tell you that the guy you're talking to does not have the same perceptions as most other norwegians :) I love Norway, and don't recognize most of what he's saying so... He is probably the kind of guy who would talk negatively about ANY other place in the world. Norway is voted the best country to live in several times, and yeah, it's cold here in winter, but that doesn't bother me when we have the beautiful nature and warm summers :)

  • @philster611 I have to finish. If you actually presented a good fucking point, I would agree with you. So far what you have presented parallels the U.S. or is far less than the U.S. I assume you are from the U.S. by your first comment. You can not effectively support your opinion it seems. I personally do not like socialism. It works for a smaller nation like Norway though.

  • @philster611 Education is paid for by the student, You wanna study in Norway you gotta pay for it"

So then don't maintain that its free.......

Norway has the highest standard of living"

And yet no one seems to have any money...

  • If You are from balkan you will notice all word is same like in our language...!!!

  • The only word you need to know in Norwegian is "Skatt" Which means tax.... Thats the only thing that happens in Norway... death and tax....

  • @philster611 kinda like whats now happening in America :/

  • @6FaceDrak I could guarantee that if Americans ever paid tax at the rate of Norwegians, you would see a 2nd civil war...

  • This is awsome man

  • WTF?? you are not sooo good x))) I'm norwegian and you was not soo good!

  • OMG get rid of the music!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't make it past 40 seconds, and I really want to watch this

  • @FrapaneseGirl

You kidding? The background music plus his stoned look, and the way he says "dirt" and "jerk" mixes this all into an bagage of total epicness:)

  • I'm very happy to see that norwegian wouldn't be so difficult for a spanish speaker when it comes to pronounciation... I hope so :P

  • Dude, you're so funny :-) I enjoyed this.

  • this is pretty funny...

  • norwegian is a beautiful language but in different places they have different accents. oslo accent is by far the best accent to hear their singing hehehehe..

  • @LOTRsuck im not norwegian nor fluent in norwegian language but that's what i notice here in norway, every places has their own dialect and accents and oh they can still understand each other but as what i have said oslo accent is the best accent for me

  • is he for real ?? LOL XD

  • Omg. I am norwegian and the way he says dirt is wrong. He is probably from Bergen, og somewhere around there, and they have than spanish H sound or G sound, while "bokmål" that is our "normal" Norwegian without accent don't use that sound at all..

  • Comment removed

  • @bibloteket er DU norsk?!? Bergen?!?

  • rofl.....

  • video is good, but the music / sounds in the background are really annoying!!

  • @homocallidus its also ignorant to stereotype an entire nation due to your experience with only a few members of it

  • It's cool, norwegian alphabeth is similar to polish xD

  • norwegians are actually ignorant and spiteful people...

  • If he is going to teach norwegian to english speakers, he neads to know more english. We do not pronounce some letters the way he thinks that we do.

  • Hvis han kommer til å lære norsk til engelsk høyttalere, neads han å vite mer engelsk. Vi vil ikke uttale noen bokstaver måten han mener at vi gjør.

  • FLIRE SÅ Æ SKRIK!!!!

  • @EzechielPregzt christmas~!!! XDD

  • this video is too fucking hilarious. i love it.

  • 3:58 LMAO

  • I'm confused about the R. I heard a lot of times that Norwegian R's are very similar to the French R. And yet when you introduced R you said it as if it was a Spanish RR. When would you roll the R in a word and when would you use the French R?

  • @Radjehuty It mostly depends on where in the country you live. I live in the southern part of Norway so I do not make a rolling R sound...

  • Please don't ever become a Norwegian/English teacher.

  • du suger skitt, idiot

  • How do you say, "I look like a stoner." in Norwegian?

  • @chowfun1976

"Jeg ser ut som en stoner"

  • @chowfun1976

Oh that's easy but it depends on what part of norway you're from so. But i'm for western Norway or like we say it "Vestlandet" When we say i look like a stoner we say: Eg ser ut som eg er stein.

  • @chowfun1976

Like this: "Jeg ligner på en rusa homo."

  • After watching this vid, I don't know if I want to high-five you or lightly slap you across the face, but it was definitely a pleasantly entertaining waste of time. Thank you my good sir.

  • you are that crazy viking that tells americans to move away from usa?

  • I can speak norwegian now...

  • He is teaching accent not vocabulary. It is irrelevant that he is not using actual Norwegian words. If he is indeed pronouncing them with a Norwegian accent then this is an effective teaching method to introduce American-English speakers to the sounds in the language.

  • dirt=møkk

  • @chrisi12395 He is pronouncing "dirt" as he would in a Norwegian accent. He isn't saying that Norwegians actually have the same word in English for dirt.

  • in norway its ringe not call XD

  • han høres ut som en trønder... eller vestlending

  • u messed up ugly at "b" we dont say bæhh. WTF mann? dont judge norwegians from this guy btw in norway we have hundreds of accents or dialects

  • this is pretty funny... with his look

  • he is so wild....grrrrrrr love him

  • u cant talk norwegian we dont say ALL we say alle

  • I'm very surprised, Norwegian pronunciation is very similar to Spanish, R and O are the only ones pronounced significantly different.

  • Dirt= dritt xD

  • WTF, he sucks in English and Norwegian!!!

We don,t talk like this in Norway... :O) ha ha ha.

But he have one thing rigth, we talk different in different part of the country..

  • And call is Ringe.

  • it is not Ahhh it is A!!!

  • lol u fail in ur ge

  • lol u fail in ur own language

  • loooooooooool så sykt feil

  • whaa?=P vi sier ikkje R sånn i Bergen:P

  • now teach them to talk like a bergenser:D

  • You people complaining about "How he says the word" Are missing the point. He's pronouncing the English word with the Norwegian alphabet.

  • @DemandSurrender

But he is saying it wrong! the words he says does not exist!

  • @zinbay100 He is saying ENGLISH words. With the NORWEGIAN alphabet. Ball, is a English word, as is Egg, but he's using the NORWEGIAN alphabet to say it

  • Lol I havnt had this much fun trying to learn a language since my last year school german class!! Good job!

  • are u on drugs or something ?

  • Dirt?!?!?! No way!!

I am a 15 year old norwegian girl, and i haven't heard anyone say that word before once!!

  • see part 2 from 3.44 to the end

  • Chewbacca madness at 5:59 ha ha!. In Spanish we have the same annoying "R" sound which is very difficult to produce when drunk. Many thanks for the video!

  • How to say "I want to burn churches and kill my black metaller friend" in Norwegian

  • du e fette styggg!

  • Stop doing drugs, dude!

  • "J" more often than not is pronounced "Juh" in English. Almost completely no "Y" sound

  • What I want to know is the sentence structure

  • du er feit morra puler

  • @Xerotaerg If you're going to "speak" it. None. If you want to write it, I would START with bokmål.

Nynorsk is the "real" norwegian way of writing and speaking, but for foreigners it may be hard to learn. It's many reasons to it, but mostly because of the special pronounciations and words. :) But it's not impossible :P Bokmål, I would say is more "danish-light". It is Danish, transformed into easy NOrwegian. But it is the one which is easiest to learn :) Send me a message for more info:)

  • this guy have very hypnotizing eyes ^^ It's hard to learn from him without gazing into his eyes lol

  • @Xerotaerg Bokmål.

Nynorsk is not a vocal language, really. It's just a mix of different dialects from all over the countr
