An RPG29 was fired at close range into the lower hull plate by insurgents, it hit just inbetween two EMA plates so the EMA failed to trigger and the rocket penetrated. The driver only lost his foot and is fine. No other crewmen were injured and the tank was still in full working order just it had a hole in the front. It was later repaired. Only one was ever "knocked out" and it was by a friendly fire incident. Cr2 best armour in world.

Not only this, but the mass to protected volume ratio is larger, meaning that the tank has more armor on it. I assume you are referring to the soviet made RPG7, which cuts through armor using superheated copper. as you probably don't know, these tanks are largely impervious to this technology because the superheated copper dose not get hot enough to melt all the way through the primary plates. your only hope with those is to shove it up the exhaust pipe.

@LordV4derofcheem Well in fairness the challenger 2 has never really faced a tank that was closely matched yet anyway, Even the T72,s it faced in iraq were locally made so lacked the fire control and night sights that russian models have. And has not faces the rpg 32 or the Kornet either and both of these were to main downfall of the merkava in Israel. Im guessing in the british and dumb enough to ever follow the americans into iran then you see the challenger 2 have some serious losses

And no where in this video dose it show any of the tanks considered by modern military strategists to be super tanks (M1-A2 Abrams, Challenger II, T-90, or the Leopard 2). The tanks shown were largely the Israeli Merkava... don't talk if you don't know anything about tanks... also... don't talk if you don't know when I'm insulting a terrorist organization.
