  • Speech sucked, but at least you can be proud of one thing; you're in the one state that most don't give a rat's behind about.

  • @js68fl Heh. And yet still not little enough to allow your self-important arrogance to let us go our own separate, free way, right? Yeah, I thought not. You must be so proud...

  • @bikerbillnh Tell me something, if you willingly refuse to buckle up, get in a crash, and are thrown into another occupant inside your vehicle - killing them - HOW is it your choice? Don't tell me that it was meant to happen that way, because it was a dumbass mistake on your part because you thought your rights were more important than the lives of others.

  • @js68fl Goofy scenario, but ok. So this free-willed individual in my vehicle is actually brain-dead, and was placed there without their consent? No, THEY had a choice: "You don't wear seatbelts, so I can't travel with you." That's what YOU do, right?

YOU tell ME something: where were you delegated this authority you claim to make everybody else's decisions for them? Is there any behavior you DON'T get to overrule if you disapprove?

Remember Franklin's words regarding liberty and safety...

  • @bikerbillnh You, like so many others with these stupid anti-seatbelt videos and messages, are simply devoid of any common sense. I tried explaining my point through a scenario, but obviously it only bounced off that thick, stubborn ass head of yours.

  • @js68fl Opinions are like assholes, they say...

Well, if so, I still have a RIGHT to be devoid of common sense. But YOU are devoid of any respect for liberty. More specifically, for ANYONE ELSE's liberty. I respect yours, but you refuse to respect mine. You're devoid of humility. You're a thief. And you respect force. No such right. You've nothing to fear from me, but I must constantly be prepared to defend myself against you and your nannystate. You're a thug. As I said, you must be so proud.

  • Oh, and it's not anti-seatbelt. It's anti-seatbelt LAW. And if you were actually paying attention -- or were honest -- you'd acknowledge that. But you're NOT paying attention, you're NOT willing to listen and understand, you're NOT interested in honest assessment. You're only here to call people who just want to be left alone by their government names. 'Cause might makes right. Aggression is simply what you do. C'mon, give us another demonstration...

  • @bikerbillnh I have no need to pay attention to those that have no common sense.

  • @js68fl Best that you stop listening to those violent voices inside your head, then. Go in peace.

  • Nothing wrong with speaking out for freedom and liberty, but given stats, cost of insurance, and grief caused by a death involving the non-use of seat belts, no one should be surprised at mandatory seat belt laws popping up. How can anyone expect their children to grow up and have prosperous lives if they learn to do the same thing by not buckling up? Mandatory seat belt laws have nothing to do with the government trying to take away freedoms and liberties - it's about trying to protect people.

  • "... it's about trying to protect people."

Against their will. Because you know better than they how to run their lives. That's essentially the definition of taking away freedom, and every hopeful dictator, self-styled "benevolent" or not, believes the same way. Either you're free to peacefully exist as you choose, or you're not. There's no, "But this is too important for you to choose."

  • @mpfan2112 You can't fix stupid - I've tried explaining my point but the fact is some people have no common sense.

  • AMEN!

    Preach it Brother Bill!

  • Biker Bill: kickin' ass and takin' down the names!

  • AGREE COMPLETELY!

    Thank you.

  • holy smokes - you're bikerbill?! I LOVE YOUR WRITING on the nhla forum! I kept wondering who it was! Great to see you at the hearing at this seat belt hearing and yesterday's hcr6- wish I'd known you were bikerbill so I could tell you in person how much I agree with so many of your thoughts and observations! Your testimonies are powerfully well written and delivered. Thank you so much for giving such a firm and positive voice to liberty and freedom!

  • Not only brilliantly written, but beautifully and passionately presented. Excellent job.

  • Excellent speech! Perhaps too "heady" for lawmakers, though. I hope they were able to keep up and understand!

  • Thanks Bill.

I'm sad to say that I am pessimistic about the future of individual freedoms in this country, but your testimony heartens me. I'm glad to have you on our side.

  • Brilliant testimony, sir.

  • Wonderful, thank you!

  • Between having quit smoking cigarettes just 2 weeks ago and not having eaten yet, I had to leave when the room change was made. I was getting too angry listening to the socialists talk about how much better they'd feel with a seat belt law in place.

    Great testimony!

  • Mighty fine speechifyin' there, bill!
