My daughter performs these routines this weekend and doesn't them very well. I am so happy I found this PERFECT example of how they should be done. BTW, Lexi isn't going to be good b/c she started young, she is going to be great because she has it in her. Very few 4 or 5 year olds can do these routines as well as she did! Congrats Lexi!!

no offense taken. She had only started gymnastics 6 months before and she was just 4 yrs old.  It is a bit easier to control your body and feet the older you get. I am glad you are doing a good job. Keep up the hard work.

the compulsory levelss are 1-6 and then optionals are 7-10. You can compete level 1, but most gymns either start on level 3 or 4.

It all depends on the gym and where they feel they want to start competing the kids. Luckily for Levels 2-5 in our region they are achievement and they don't have to try for placements. They get an award for each event depending on their score and get a medal at the end for trying their best. I think it is a great lead-in for placement competition.
