OK, the video says BRINE for 24 hours... I take it that everyone watching knows how to do this. I am guessing that I am to soak the turkey in the brine somehow. Would a zip lock bag do this??? What do you find to put the turkey in so it gets "BRINED"... didn't really understand that part of the video, but I have done the other and love how GREEN Egg worked to make a delicious turkey.. Still, I didn't hear the size of the turkey either, it there a size that works best?
@FitClubGeorgia We used a 12-15 pound turkey. Place in a lidded food-storage container large enough to completely submerge the turkey and contain the displaced brine. Place a plate over the top of the bird if needed to submerge the bird. Cover and refrigerate at no higher than 40 degrees F.
i like the brine, it worked well, but i cooked my turkey on real grill= traeger texas 075, i could of added 2 more turkeys if i wanted, as i tell everyone, quit wasting your money of charcoal wanna be smokers, buy a traeger and relax
That looks GREAT !! I bet It tasted Amazing!!

Great recipe! only...not all of us have our own big green egg at home =\...maybe i'll make use of the brine this thanksgiving, it sounds delicious.

Good video, giving the measurements of the brine ingredients would be most helpful.
