  • where did you say you got the anorak from?

  • @hillbillybushcraft Lester River Bushcraft

  • Great setup and great ideas. Thanks for sharing.

  • I dig this video trio, thanks for taking the time to share. I also appreciate you sharing when ideas don't pan out, as we all seem to learn more from our mistakes.

I have a slightly off topic question for you. Do you know what the straps in the thigh pockets are for on the 50/50 BDUs?

  • Great application video. I also like the bait in the straw idea. Did you post a link where the small knife can be acquired? Thanks.

  • @gmcpcs I got that knife from Turley Knives. He only makes them in batches every once and a while.

  • Great vid Brother, you see so many PSK vids on what to carry, but not many on actually using the items. Nicely done and I like the debrief at the end of pt. 3. Something I always try to do when coming back from the bush. Keep 'em coming! Clear skies!

  • great PSK

i particurally like the straws idea

  • what is that you keep the cotton balls in? tin foil?

  • @pepple84 Yes sir it is

  • Who was filming?

  • @ihoppy A friend of mine was with me during the day. I did the rest.

  • You rock, my friend.

    Iz

  • @iawoodsman Thanks - another tidbit of knowledge ;-).

  • are there really that many "meth heads" roaming the woods of america? i always thought they were a more urban dwelling species. they are nocturnal but in canada they usually inhabit downtown empty buildings very loud night clubs or suburban bungalows.

  • @TheBushnut In my neck of the woods they go to secluded places to do there cooks. My family has caught them cooking in a timber we own. They are no joke.

  • I think it’s really unfortunate these days we have to be more concerned about 2 legged predators than the 4 legged kind. Really ticks me.

  • @Woodenarrows It is a sad but true fact

  • Outstanding TB. I appreciate these even more after I've come back to them the second and third time. Lots of good advice.

  • congrats! excellent material!

  • Great so far... On to part 2......

  • excellent stuff mate, and an exercise we all should do. I laughed my ass off when you pulled out your pistol, in Australia(were I live)if I were caught with a handgun out in the bush I could expect to spend a long time in jail. Also what was the thinking of not taking a fixed blade belt knife? I just wouldn't feel comfortable doing this bush craft challenge with out my CS SMIII trail master and BK-2...LoL

  • @waveman0 I did have a fixed blade. It was just very small.

  • @iawoodsman I saw that, and a nice little knife it is too.I wasn't trying to be a smart ass, I reckon you did a magnificent effort at this very challenging BC challenge.

  • @waveman0 I did not think you were being a smart ass. No worries

  • Looks like a good series

  • thanks.

    regards

    streetartist

  • Fabulous start to the series. Before I go on to part 2, I have to ask ...

Why did you dump the cat tail root back?

  • @NewbieCamper the inner root was grey. It should be bright white.

  • Where did you get arrow card? Great video!

  • Oh man, you DO have a face : P Checking out the next 2 parts now...

  • Awesome! Man I want a Turley PSK!!

  • You da man!

  • Where did you get the arrow card? Is there a website?

  • @ISOGITE equinoxcoronado.cm

  • Comment removed

  • They're nowhere in sight. I tried every link.

  • nice, where did you get that jack from agian can find them

  • Very cool.

  • Amazing stuff. Terry puts his money where his mouth is! Digging those roots must have been really cold on the hands.

  • OOORAH!!

  • You chucked the cat-tail saying it was really old. Would you elaborate on that?

  • Awesome!!!

  • From all your videos I have watched, I would say with minimal kit, you will be just fine. You have alot of knowledge and could probably survive with even less! As I learn more I realize I don't need 35 lbs of gear for a few days, but I still bring more than I need. I guess knowledge is most important. Great video as always.

  • Great to see your practical application of your kit. Two thumbs up!
