Oh god... I feel like I have just watched me in a parallel universe in this video. I have gone through 2 in the past year. Not as bad as you though. Why can't they just get it together and fix these problems?
Or better yet, why can't a decent company make the same looper in a sturdier pedal?
I have one of the first generation ones and I can't even get it to work as a simple delay on/delay off digital delay pedal. I don't get it. Seems like everybody else in the world can do all kinds of cool shit with them and I'm plugging in my 1979 Electro-Harmonix Deluxe Memory Man while this gathers dust! Reggie Watts performs miracles with these and I can't even use it for a simple single delay...

I've gone through 4 dl-4's in 2 years, all of which has gotten mutiple mods and repairs. Nobody buy line 6 toys! They break spontaneously and without reason. They're awesome for the 10 minutes they last but not the economical buy/
My DL4 was plugged into my power supply and then they both stopped working and it doesn't work through power and works for a a second with batteries, i had a look in side to see if any of the components had fried but nothing, i have no idea got any ideas?
If u use these for looping, gent the boss loop station, if u use it for delays u should get the line 6 tonecore echo park it could help and they r cheaper price
Mine just broke... did you ever have the problem of only getting a high-pitched sqeal when it's engaged? In bypass I have normal signal but as soon as its engaged its fucked? Any clues?
It's funny because the unit is such an amazing piece of work that is SO widely used, but Line 6 doesn't give a shit about the little details (WIDESPREAD PROBLEMS) like the footswitches, the volume dropout, etc.
i share your PAIN!! i had a dl-4 that decided to simply die on me.. and i spent like 200 bux repairing it.. and on the very NEXT show that shit busted again. wont even turn on... and when it DID work again after the repair, it couldnt give me the same effects i used it for.. i tihnk one of the chips were changed or something.. really realy sux

I've had 2 newer DL4s (and an M9) die on me too. The only one that still works is the first one I bought 10 years ago.

I just recieved my Line 6 DL4... I messed around with it, just practicing for about 40 minutes and then just poof! it didn't do anything anymore...
hope i can return it...
