Till then...me and my cruiser bike will putt along on the sidewalks. I commute by bike nearly every day - year round. Planning my route by which roads have sidewalks is what has kept me safe for 3 decades of commuting - since it's not illegal where I live...and there are NO special lanes or markings for biking in the street.
