  • Let's have a remake..

  • The movie industry owes HG. Lewis a signifigently huge debt for what he did with this film. It could be compared to the Beatles influence on rock n roll or better yet the first real "punk "" flavoured anything hitting the earth like a comet. Halloween, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Friday The 13th, the subsequent slasher/splatter boom of the 80s, Quentin Tarantino, Robert Rodriguez, Rob Zombie, Eli Roth, and the later torture porn gore of 2000s horror can all be traced back to this film.

  • Annals of horror

  • These movies were ones I had completely discovered on my own no stores had them no friends had them I gotta say being bold and stepping out of the box and follow the trail of blood got me to these treasures

  • ¡No jodas! pensé que el Gore no tenia procedencia ???

    "TENGO QUE VERLA"

  • @SergioOblood ¿Entonces no la vas a ver?

  • that man is so damn sweaty! Ewwwww

  • I love how juicy and candy red the blood is in most of this movie. B-roll for life! Haha.

  • if you want to have an H. G. Lewis Gore-A-Thon, watch these movies:

    blood feast

    2000 maniacs

    color me blood red

    a taste of blood

    the gruesome twosome

    the wizard of gore

    the gore gore girls

blood feast 2: all you can eat

  • @CHAOSin8bits Blood Feast 2 is my absolute favorite H.G. Lewis movie, and one of my favorite b-movies period!

  • Comment removed

  • he gathered body parts to make a perfect model for mr. frankenstein

  • its so eerie how michael agins favorite movie was blood feast...then he goes and kills his room mate and puts him in the bath tub and does what?? cuts off the guys legs!!!! i think he was just playing out one of his fantasies while he was on a really crazy trip!!

  • Nothing so appalling in the annals of film scores!

  • The Misfits brought me here.

  • @thatdoomguy666 John Waters brought me here, though oddly enough im wearing a Misfits shirt as i read this comment lol

  • this is the first spatter grindhouse film!

  • BLOOD ORGY!

  • i really find these old movies with bad acting and bad camera effects more terryfying. i mean, they act so natural, the blood is SO RED, and that stupid songs that they put, i think they are better than the nowadays ones.

  • I saw this in college & had nightmares about the guy pulling the girl's tongue out of her mouth.

  • Anyone else think that hot chick in the bathtub kind of looks like Taarna from Heavy Metal?

  • @TheAltair4

She does and she's quite sexy, i'm surprised they got away with this movie in 1963 and was one of the first gore flicks ever that influenced many gore movies even the modern shockers like Hostel owe themselves to Herschell Gordon Lewis.

  • @Johnlindsey289 It was pretty shocking for it's time, but it's an utterly hilarious movie nowdays with some of the cheapest looking gore effects and the worst acting this side of MST3K. lol

  • @TheAltair4

How old were you when you saw this sick shocker?

  • @Johnlindsey289 I was 9 when i saw this for the first time and it really grossed me out big time, especially the tongue scene.

  • You can tell the blood is fake.

  • @BrokenHopez Hmm.. that's funny. I can't tell. Looks real to me!

  • @BrokenHopez Do you wanna now why the blood looks fake ? 'Cos it's fake blood.

  • Its always so hard for me to believe that this came out in 1963 . Back then the opening thingy was probably a real warning .

  • damn that blood looks so real, because you just cant fake it- BLOODFEAST, from the album EARTH A.D., MISFITS.

  • i showed my grampa this (has a serious heart condition) and even he thought it sucked balls

  • why he just fuck the woman in the bathtub

  • 0:50..what did he cut out her tongue lol

  • LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • 1:18...Kramer?!?!?!?

1:54...'cuz nothing turns on blood crazed killers like granny-panties!

  • jajajaja they should call savini xD

  • lol "anyone who is usually upset" =(

  • wow...they show all the best bits in the trailer, just like nowadays

  • According to my father, when he was 5 years old old, my grandfather took him and his siblings to the local drive-in theater in San Antonio. My grandfather, God rest his soul, let my father watch this movie while laughing at it the whole time. Meanwhile my dad and his siblings were hiding on the floor of the truck's cab.

  • I wonder how people reacted when they saw the trailer back then. I mean that was '63, just 3 years after Psycho which used chocolate syrup for blood, to see something go much more for the violence and shock than actually being scary must have drawn some macabre curiosity.

  • next time a stranger comes near your door, you can just SCREAM IN TERROR!!! XD

  • A classic film by Herschell Gordon Lewis!!

  • i bet there would be a chance i would think this was scary if i saw it in the 60's

watch dead alive also not scary but bloody my friends can't watch it made them puke!

    i think it's funny

but i'll watch this movie to see it it's any good

  • YES IT LOOKS LIKE KETCHUP! WE GET IT! QUIT WITH THE COMMENTS.. jeez

    @ __ @

  • this maked me laugh xD

  • fucking classic!

  • Mmmm! Now I'm craving for some french fries!

  • So fake, so pointless. Yet, I cant take my eyes away.

  • man that looks like someone just used about 37 bottles of hienz ketchep!!! like omg! its not even scaryyy!!!

  • @applezznbananazz Yeah right, the movie is from 1963. It's was like the REAL hardcore at that time.

  • that is a bigass tongue when he pulls it out. it was actually a rotted lambs tongue

  • god im getting hungry

  • @alexandradeyl ur a zombie arent you.... ADMIT EET

  • More blood! This was the 1st film to introduce "gore" on the big screen. Didn't know how the writer of this film got into making this film as well Herschell Gordon Lewis becoming "the wizard of gore", but this still remains one of the very best (but notrious) explotation classics I've ever enjoyed watching. Great for late night showing as well early morning showing. :) Ouch!

  • A classic in the history of Gore-Movies...

    Great^^

  • This trailer has an AWESOME horn solo!

  • whats with the sphinx

  • wow the blood. so .... FAKE!

  • WHATS THIS A SNUFF FILM??

  • This movie really sucks!

  • this dam movie sucks i the killer just wants to kill people for

    the gore of athers

  • this movie may be horriable but it was revalusinary as far as gore effects went when it first came out

  • This movie sucks so horribly, but i find myself wanting to watch it all the time.

  • what's with the sound track?

  • YEAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!

    CLASSICK!!!!

  • CULT!!!

For the 60's that was pretty gross.

And for some it still is.

  • What i can call as CULT.

  • My definition of the word CULT.

  • The best film ever made.

  • This is nothing like Braindead. That was chaotic and darkly hilarious. This is just nasty.

  • wtf? why is this amusing?

just gross. am i the only one thinking this i gross?

yes its old and it sucks, but still

  • It's gross, but that's what makes it awesome.

  • I own the Big Box Comet Video release of this gore classic and it is signed by H.G. Lewis!.

  • This movie is the first blood and gore movie in motion Picture history. If they made a remake of that movie it should have a Restricted rating for graphic violence and gore.

  • Not really, 1st Gore scene was presented in the movie "Un chien Andalou" by Salvadore Dali and Louis Bunuel.

  • Salvador*

  • They don't make horror movie trailers like they used to :(

  • i was just thinking the exact same.

  • @sillygrl23 they all went pg-13. thank you new generation for fucking everything up

  • @deathpickier Well, as for the PG-13 rating you can blame "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" for that lol

  • looks like a load of old bollocks to me

  • don't watch this trailer, it gives away the whole movie!!!!!!!!!!

  • wtf? the opening of this trailer is in michael moore's new movie capitalism a love story

  • it´s good

i mean, not GOOD.... well, good

i´ve expected nothin better for these times

  • anal of horror?

  • H. Gordon Lewis... excelent

  • classic!

  • 1:43 broooooooootal

  • ive seen worse

  • One of the paradoxes of the cinema history....horrible and historically important at the same time...

  • Awesome... gotta see this movie!

  • As horrible as the direction is, and as awful as the acting is, this is a very inovative film. It was one of the first of it's kind, and the filmmakers knew they were taking a dare. Remember, this was back in the days before ratings, so everything was uncut. Yeah, the blood looks like red paint, and the effects are obvious, but this was way before Tom Savini. So yeah, this is pretty much the first splatter film!

  • WHAT THE FUCK?

  • Creepiest trailer I have ever seen tbh. I love that music and the dude with the knife freaks me out.

  • That blood is just so real, because you just can't fake it.

  • 1:41

    i lold so hard XD

  • never seen so much ketchup in one movie

  • @roarspower3 hahahaha so funny u idiot

  • @roarspower3 That's actually hot sauce. They weren't fucking around back then.

  • pretty funny shit. but this was the first "splatter film" so it paved the way for horror movies.

  • Comment removed

  • Terrible HORROR film!!!,..........but a classic COMEDY!! I think THAT realy sums it up. So IF you hapen to possess a good sense of humor and dont minde a little grossness then, by all means, see it.

  • My mom saw this movie when she was younger. And she banned me from seeing it. By that trailer, it looks like it sucks. LOL.

  • BLOOD FEAST is fuckkkkkking tight, naysayers may be eaten by Jove!

  • lol dis shit wuz weird n funny

  • xDDDDDD

  • Blood Feast is the first blood gory movie made in 1963. It's the first in motion picture history.

  • This movie is disgusting beyond belief. Ugh

  • SO FAKE LOL

  • wow, that was shit-ur-pants scary.....

  • "Blood Feast" is a masterpiece. Herschell Gordon Lewis will never be forgotten for his contribution to the horror genre.

  • where can you find this movie

ive looked everywhere for this and the wizard of gore

  • They have it on the DVD Planet website...both of them... $7.59 each.

  • thanks to mr. lewis to introduce the splatter genre!!!!!!!!

  • gore rulez

  • it sure does!

  • This film was the Oldest of the "video nasty" list

  • 1:55 GRANNY PANTIES!!!!!

  • The first of all splatter films! and i thought "Rob Zombie" movie are bloody, but this? I mean what kind of sick twisted fuck gets credit for making this sort of movie?

  • you wanna know why its sick? so it can gross people out! thats how they get their money :)

  • The great origin of the gore class b

  • He looks like an old Barton Fink

  • i will cook a leg in my oven for the blood feast of ishtar!

  • It's interesting to see the connection of michael alig's murder to this film

  • "...connection to michael alig's murder..." That's right. The "Party Monster" himself got the idea to cut off that guy's legs in a bathtub from the scene in which the woman in the tub is killed and her leg is removed. I started watching this film because it's mentioned in John Water's "Serial Mom", but I couldn't see it all the way through. Same thing with "Hostel".

  • This is the first ever slasher film ever to hit the theatres - it had a huge impact on 'gorno' movies that are shown today with its explicit violent nature. '...should not be viewed by any impressionable child...' Too bad Michael Alig's mother did not heed that warning.

  • Someone under this video said "Blood Feast" was the 1st "Splatter" film, though I'm not sure if it actually is the 1st one. The "Splatter" genre focuses more on blood and guts. "Slasher" films tend to be less gory. They emphasize the chase. The original "Halloween" is a perfect example of a 'Slasher' film.

  • "Nothing so Appaling in the annals of horror!"

...I think they're referring to the "acting"!

  • Haha I really like this movie. Anybody know the title of the song thats playing cuz cool?

  • Was this ever on MST3K?

  • @mookindahouse This movie doesn't need to be on MST3K because it already has a sense of humor of its own.

  • LOOOL 1:42

    She has no breasts

  • bad acting......

    i think its pretty funny.

  • LoL..... E questo è Hershell Gordon Lewis! Il più grande mestierante del cinema di tutti i tempi!!!

  • "Blood Feast" aired on TCM.

April 11, 2009. A word to the wise, don't buy the DVD. This movie is shitty as hell!

  • Herschell Gordon Lewis is a genius..

  • this is one of my favorite classic gore movies.the acting is really bad but its a guilty pleasure

  • I suspect the warnings at the beggining of these old titty-horror movies were merely to pique interest-. Imagine a mom and her child going to the sleazy theaters that showed titty horror in the past lol! Probably would have figured it out when the walked in and saw the bum whacking off in the aisle

  • What a funny movie haha!

  • Gotta love the scene on the beach where bashes that chick's brains out onto the sand.

  • this will kill a old person woth a heat condotion

  • awesome :-D

  • i wanna see this! i like that fluorescent red blood, so grand-guignolesc...

  • LOL! So bad... yet such a landmark film.

  • is this a 'slasher film'

  • Slashers are more of a serial killer movie which usually has some gore in it.

Splatters are films which purely concentrate on the ridiculous amounts of gore in it, this being the first movie to introduce to the genre (being called like that by George Romero).

Though I heard there was some medieval gory film in the 1910s.

  • Interesting...

  • No way, what is the name of it?

  • This is a classic Splatter film, like Hostel is today.

  • hostel is not splatter is a piece of shit.they just ripped off clasic horror/gore parts and put them all togheter for the retarded teens in usa and the world that buy SHIT cuz everybody else does.comparing this jem with hostel is something that a retard like you could only do.cheerz

  • CHEEZY MOVIE

  • Cool, there are some shots here that are not in the final cut of the picture.

  • hahahaha funny cunt dude!!!

  • This movie was fucking terrible. The villain, however, was one of the creepiest looking guys I've ever seen in film.

  • Where is MST3K?

  • Where is RIFFTRAX?

  • That Crying Mother Is The Worst Fucking Acting In Cinema History!

  • LOL

  • I have the big box vhs tape of this H.G. Lewis classic. Its autographed by the man himself!I met him in 1993 at a Fangoria convention in Toronto. He was the nicest man you could ever meet!

  • 0:50-0:55

    DISTURBING.

  • this looks terrible...can't wait to see it!

(and lol @ that cheesy disclaimer)

  • It might be a classic...but blood is not cherry red :p

  • oh yeah? mine is...... and it has a hint of vanilla

  • It was in 1963.

  • The tagline should've been: "Nothing so appalling in the annals of acting!"

  • Yah, they used a sheep's tongue at one point lol

  • neat

  • bought it for €5.-

  • 0.50 € from some guys on the town XD

  • Lmao some of the blood looks like hot sauce

  • THIS FILM FUCKING ROCKS!!!

  • love that movie. really a classic

  • Why does the violin come AFTER the drum? Why can't it coincide with it? I never understood that. That song was just STARTING, Hersch!
