This Lily was created solely for the Fatal Fury OVA while Lily Kane was created after SNK abandoned Fatal Fury to pursue the King of Fighters series. They're 2 totally different characters.

The Fatal Fury Trilogy was before the street fighter anime, BUT the Fatal Fury franchise is SNK's first break into fighting games. So I assume Art of Fighting came second, World Heroes, then Samurai Showdown (Which AOF, and SS also became animes). For those that didnt know. But if im wrong correct me.

And before Art of Fighting became a franchise, that name was mention in earlier fatal fury games.
