  • Blackburn did this or some other prem team I think haha funny there goal was allowed though :)

  • the rule is that the ball, just like a kick off from the middle, must make a complete rotation before the ball is actually in play.

  • @Desmonddl actually that rule was cancelled i think 2-3 years ago ... now its if the ball moves , not necessarily a full rotation

  • copied from rakitic and petric

  • @CroFreekick

That was in 2008 you idiot

  • @dstnyification what was in 2008 u idiot? be more specific

  • And that's why I hate midi songs..

  • The music gave me AIDS in my ears

  • this trick is old.. it's as old as the football

  • the music gave me a boner

  • they copied manchester united

  • @jahedur123456 moron.

  • this video sucks so much dick that paris hilton would even be proud.

  • thats a soccer ref for ya!

  • fafaf

  • 23 people had their volume on.

  • fc basel actually did it

    and scored

but roma is a great team none the less

  • the thing is the person who runs with the ball after, is offside

  • @bossonsj NO! Cause he wasn't offside when the ball was played... You see?

  • absolutely beautiful, and i randomly like the music

  • the idea is to tell the linesman what you're doing....is that so hard

  • they stole this from united

  • @Poddymagee No Man UTD Stole this from AS Roma

  • @whatismygame nope

  • @whatismygame and roma stole it from a croation team

  • i dont get it!!

  • @RenzoVV98 They switch players taking the corner after the first player tapped it into play. No body realized it so it looked like the second player taking the corner just dribbled in. Their wrong, it's a great trick corner.

  • @guyzizzleguy Ball actually has to roll for one full circumference......Assistant was spot on flagging it.

  • @Kierz77 He did roll the ball when he put it down it was flagged for offside.

  • @Kierz77 as a soccer ref let me tell you that the rule was changed about a dozen years ago. the ball is in play as soon as it's touched and moves. the assistant just failed to see the trick.

  • i did this on my premier team two weekends ago and we scored on the cross. it was ill

  • Rofl at the music that doesn't fit the situation at all. Some teams have been caught by the opposition doing this.

  • 0.01

  • linesman shud be red carded

  • how come it was an out of place

  • Pretty old trick. That's why you generally tell the linesman/referee you're planning on doing it so that when it happens, they know what's coming. Also it looked like the referee stopped time and was having a chat with players about pushing or pulling in the box...and then he just ran over and took the corner

  • that was a shit call by the linesmen

  • PLEASE stop putting music on football videos

  • how can he get it to a offside?

  • The officials are actually right on this one. The ball has to roll fully once before a corner kick is taken officially. In this video the ball doesn't do a full roll...

  • @Proglove85 No, you are not correct... That was true for about 10 years ago.. But the rule has changed, and now the ball just have to move.. So time for you to update your rules knowhow..

  • @ndalbjergs Nope! Because we tried the same trick this year, and the ref said the ball didn't roll all the way over, so we had to do it again! So unless that ref should have his license revoked, I think you're mistaken mate...

  • @Proglove85 Well you would be surprised how many refs, who don't know all the rules.. And this rule was changed about 6 or 7 years ago... And I am sure, that this is the rule in Denmark, and therefore is made by FIFA to start with.. And since I wanted to prove I am right, I have found the rules by FIFA for the season '10/'11, and I quote:

"The ball is in play when it is kicked and moves"

    Documentation:

  • @ndalbjergs Nå, det var nu ellers en kamp i Danmark det skete i, og det er ikke ligefrem Serie 6 jeg spiller. Men jeg kan se, at du har ret, og at den dommer vi havde nok skal genlæse regelsættet. My mistake...

  • @Proglove85 Hæhæ, ja det er skræmmende.. Man sådan er det med de her regler, som ikke lige bruges hver kamp.. F.eks. har jeg også oplevet at en linjedommer og en dommer begge to dømte offside på et målspark..

  • @ndalbjergs you are correct

  • @ndalbjergs Correct! Although the first player who "faked" the cornerkick could have secretly told the linesman. I'm not sure I would have seen this.

  • Can't be aloved to link the law.. But use google, and search: "fifa football law" and you will by the PDF..

  • @Proglove85 u are a retardddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd omgoddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd

  • @bananaman22 Yeah... Well, I'm just going to go ahead and not take that seriously... Something about a kettle and a pot, right?

  • The music made me feel like I was playing sonic ;D

  • that music gave me cancer

  • @alejandrotopo really it gave me aids

  • @alejandrotopo lawl

  • haha ive done that play before but i warned the refs before we did it lol

  • i can't believe they messed it up... this is how its done... by Petric & Rakitic when they were playing for FC Basel --- watch?v=9nBoKNy7j0Y

  • the first guy who was suppost to take the corner never tocuhed the ball off the line , thats why... look carfully he only places it , never plays it..

  • Definitely legit, too bad they didn't score. xD

  • yeh the guy originally going to take it didnt take a little pass first, he just walked off

  • p.s. the FIFA rules used to say when the ball is kicked and rotates or something to that effect, changed in like 1994

  • The ball has to roll entirely before other player touches it.

  • @WDecayed the idea that the ball has to roll or spin before it can be touched is nowhere in the laws of the game. google it because they are online on FIFA's website. i'm not sure where you're getting the idea, but it is not in the rules. the laws of the game state: "The ball is in play when it is kicked and moves" and "The kicker must not play the ball again until it has touched another player."

  • haha fucking cool

  • To be fair they should let the lino know before doing it, that was completely legit otherewise

  • abseits ;D

  • sędzia kalosz ;P

  • What a garbage soundtrack

  • luv it

  • omfgggg

  • the kicker can't make a second touch until another player touches it. Man Utd did this last year except they did it right. the original guy calls for switch or short corner, then as he's running out, he touches the ball sneaky like into play then the "fake kicker" can play the ball however. but if the ref or linesman doesn't spot the first touch it's not going to work.

  • hahhahaha I understand now Ronney and Gigg imitated these guys against Chelsea......anyway none of them were allow by the ref or linesman

bcoz Linesman and Ref are not smart enough.

  • theres no offsides in corner

  • @yeshodeep : you're right but the corner kicker have to pass the ball, he can't ply it himself. Since the first one let the ball on his orginal spot, the "fake kicker" then becomes the real kicker. Sounds clear ? :S

  • @JuZeOne3 That's totally clear, but the thing is that the first kicker actually kicks that ball just a little so that it moves just a bit. You only can't see that very well on this footage, but if you should watch /watch?v=9nBoKNy7j0Y you'll see it, it's not the same footage but they're doing the exact same thing...

  • @MrJoostReus yea my team actually did vthis play stupid ass referee made us do it agiain and he gave it all away

  • the initial taker taps the ball so lightly im not even sure if it crosses the line which might be why its disallowed

  • the ball only haves to make a full rotation at a kick off not at a corner kick.. so the ref sucks

  • Some of you guys are just as bad as this linesman. The rule you keep repeating is an old rule. A few years ago they changed the wording across the whole law book. The ball is in play when it is kicked and moves. It doesn't say anything about rotation like it used to. My source is page 49 from the FIFA Laws of the Game. The linesman either wasn't paying attention, or didn't know the rule correctly.

  • harry kewell did that 4 years ago in the champions league against chelsea, didnt work then either, you have to tell the linesman and or ref before the game cuz They cant look out for shirt tugging and that during the game

  • Are we sure the ball have to do a full rotation?

  • dont think so, didnt sheringham just stand on the ball once before shearer scored a free kick for england from an indirect free kick

  • worst music ever....

  • @ras79r sounds like sonic fail

  • the ball must rotate a full 360 degrees for it to be a valid movement

  • @A1r93 - no it doesnt, youre wrong, dont ever talk again

  • @XxBUDDHA yes it does, look it up

  • it was a incomplete rotation, so it wasn't a valid movement,

  • remove that annoying song

  • he should have said to the linesman "watch this!"

  • We did this on my team and the ref did the same thing, the line judge knew what it was but no.

    We scored too!

  • f*cking referee doesn't understand

  • my team has done that

  • yeah the ball has to make full rotation

  • sure my dad is ref. in the fourth german league

  • reeeef is soooo sooooooo stupid

  • why is the ref stupid. The team didn't do the move right. You can't just "tap" the ball. It has to do one full rotation. If the red team wants to get all huffy and puffy, fine. Just aim it at their team mate who screwed up the trick.

  • the ball has to make a full rotation !!!

  • No it dont

  • no it doesnt, it just has to be touched, it doesnt have to leave the corner arc either

  • that is correct

  • this is hands down the worst song of all time

  • xD agreed!

  • You do not have to tell the ref your are doing that play, you are basically doing a short pass for the free (corner) kick!! + the ball doesnt have to leave the semi circle

  • When the ball is out of play, as it was here, before it is deemed to be in play, it has to move at least one full rotation. In the case of the corner kick, the whole of the ball has to cross the whole of the line -and in both cases it didn't - therefore the ball was not in play. A corner is a direct free kick, but a player that takes a free kick cannot, while the ball is still in play, touch the ball before it has been touched by another player. Officials got it right this time.

  • yeah the ball has to leave the quarter circle and you have to mention it to the ref.

  • this is completely legal, man utd did it last season agaisnt chelsea but the goal wasnt counted because of the fucking ref

  • you have to tell teh ref. lol. no you don't.

  • You don't have to, but otherwise he won't know. It's wise to let him know before the game that you'll be trying it

  • ref is stupid

  • you can't do that on A.C. Milan... il diavolo

  • even if there is no offsides on a corner...the 2nd guy came from an onside position so idk what the fuck the side ref was doin

  • my team did this successfully but it only worked because we told the ref and linesman about it before the game

  • They should have told the officials about it before hand. Very crafty. Look how much space they generated after when players were like WTF?

  • Basel will kick ur ass!

  • totti is such a butthole

  • that was a nice idea but the ball has to leave the corner space (quarter round)

  • 0:34 the assissant is like wtf?

  • Rizzoli is a great ref. This is just a case of trying to bend the rules and it really is unsportsmanlike. They should bring back the full rotation rule.

  • the music looks like .. Sonic lol

  • we did that in our game and i took it in and scored and everyone was shocked lol

  • fuckin wogs

  • perhaps he should have said something to the linesman

  • the linesmen should be watching more carefully..

that is his fuckin job after all

  • @Ipwnnubz117

the linesman is right, he's not flagging the guy for an illegal corner, he's flagging him for offside (even though it's not clear whether the ball is moved forward or backward).

  • how is he offside? when the ball is played no players are offside

  • @Ipwnnubz117 why he does show his flag!!

  • man united did the same thing and they didnt count it.. thtas gayy, the reffs should pay more attention. im gonna try that in my next game lol

  • the ball must moke 1 round

  • wow the ref is like the stupidest person ever!!

  • that is really cheeky how he touches it and then runs out without no one noticing

  • There's a small detail... the ball must roll at least its perimeter in a corner kick to be considered valid. In the slow motion it shows that the ball didn't roll enough. So the ref was actually right... but for the wrong reasons LOL

  • Sorry, Bernardo. The requirement for one full revolution went out years ago. Now the ball is in play when it is "kicked and moved." Of course, I didn't see that it was actually kicked, in this case. In this case, the attacker makes his kick too covert, and fools the officials as well as the opponents. The AsstRef's flag was up for a "second touch" infraction. Too smart for his own good.

  • no it doesent have to leave the painted corner area just as long as the ball has been played it is legal so ref and even linesman standing right next to it were both wrong

  • lol too bad ref. was too thick to figure that one out. :P

  • there was no hand ball...... touch again or anything.. nor even offside

    .... referee is just blind

  • if anything then it was hand ball because he clearly touches it before the last kick that made it legal....

kick touch kick again hand ball?

  • y it is offsides?

  • because the officials are stupid

  • What the HELL is this music?!?!

  • it cant be offside on corners or thow-in.

  • The ball has to leave the semi circle of the corner which it clearly never did so its a free kick to the opposite side.

  • Comment removed

  • no, you can only be offside if you are in front of the ball when it is played

  • doesnt matter no offsides on a corner

  • Yeah i've wondered about this. I've always thought of corners as being essentially free-kicks but taken from the corner, in which case offsides are technically possible, but dont happen since in practise dont happen since everyone is behind the ball when it is kicked. I know i'm reading into this too much haha

  • not offside u dumbfuck

  • hmmm mates the ball has to leave the circle at the corner!!! thats tottis fault!!!

  • Il guardalinee era li, che cretino.

  • same thing happened Manchester United vs Chelsea

  • touching the ball is not enough.

    the ball should change place.

  • Correct,and 1 cm isnt enough either.

They didnt outfox anyone but they outnoobed theirselfs though ;)

  • stupid referee

  • Technically it is a legal play, but the fact remains that it is unsportsman like. I admit, it was very amusing when i realised what he'd done, but it's a bit too cheaky!

  • Stupid officials got it all wrong.

  • Rooney and giggs did this against Chelsea last season, Man u scored, the official didn't realise rooney had touched the ball and pulled the corner back, but then we scored from the corner anyway :)

  • yeah i remember that i couldnt stop laughing when we scored for the second time in a row

but ronaldo's header the first time was great

  • how fun when ppl like u think u know something bout soccer :) ... If ur going to do this u have to tell the reff before just a tip.. laawl but in this high league they should see what they are doing ...

  • it didnt leave the small triangle in the corner

  • I WOULD B PISSED!!!!!

  • But the ball has to clear the quarter-circle for this trick to be legit - which the ball clearly doesn't (1:09)

  • No it doesn't actually. Read the laws

  • at 1:13 he cleary does

  • he can pass it when his player is close like that but he cant take it indivudiualy he has to pass it or kick it

  • he didn't the previous player had already touched the ball with his foot...so it was ok

  • you dumpheads if you are the one ho is gonno kick the corner you cant just place yhe ball and take of in ones you need to pass or pass to central

  • obviously the refs just didn't see it . . .

  • That corner trick has been used many times before, but those stupid Italian referees didn't look at the game...Hopefully we'll see more of that one in the future :)

  • technically great corner.... got the suprise element....but stupid linesman and ref not watching the game.....perfectly legal

  • This was fine , i watched the game at first hand i sad wtf is he doing but when i looked closer i sow that the player before him touched the ball before they switch for the corner kick ,so everything was regular

  • I don't get it could one of you soccer experts be kind enough to explain what is going on.

    Thanx

  • when he sat the ball down, he kicked it slightly, which technically means the corner has been taken, so the other play can run up and get the ball and take the other team by surprise.

  • as long as it makes a full rotation and leaves the corner quarter-circle, no?

  • nope, as long as the ball is touched by the players foot it is playable

  • Maybe I was wrong :-) Just checked the laws of the game and it only says, re: a corner, "the ball is in play when it is kicked and moves" . . . no indication of a full rotation or anything. I could have sworn that this used to be the case (perhaps just for a kick off), but by the official laws as stated here, I guess it only has to move, not necessarily do a full rotation . . . guess that means you can't use your head to take a corner? :-)

  • Used to be one full rotation. Applied to all freekicks/restarts. Changed it about 5 years back as it was unenforcable at kick-off

  • that ref is stupid
