From Obama’s speech in San Fransico:

"You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing's replaced them," he said.

"And it's not surprising, then, they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations,"

From Obama’s Dreams of My Father: ; 'It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names.'

From Obama’s Dreams of My Father:

I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father's image, the black man, son of Africa, that I'd packed all the attributes I sought in myself, the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, Dubois and Mandela.'

From Obama’s Dreams of My Father: 'I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mothers race.'

From Obama’s Dreams of My Father: 'There was something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe. And white.'

  • At :27 McCain says, "I'll let the American people be the judge...." Yep, the American people sure were the judge, weren't they? McCain went down in flames! Bye, bye! Go back to the Senate where you belong. Let Obama and his rich multi-cultural heritage be our President like the MAJORITY of Americans wanted.

  • Another comment, McCain showed a lot of class not even wanting to discuss race as an issue which further debunks the Obama's race card tactic.

Side note: that reporter was from CNN? He obviously was a democrat trying to be confrontational, it didn't work and McCain handeled it well, McCain even offered to shake the reporters hand and the reporter responded with a fish-like hand shake. A sign of someone untrustworthy.

  • Im a senior in college studying psychology and im doing a researching a theory called Automatic and Controlled processing. The theory can refer to this topic. When Black people watch McCain have a reaction to evading a question about race or race card, they can view him as being racist. Do you think that by avoiding the question he is seen in that way? Im asking seriously for you unbiased oppinion b/c i don't know?

  • I don't think I'd call that racist, but I think he's being insincere and a coward. I used to like McCain - but I guess I didn't know him.

  • Have you ever noticed that if someone is a Democrat they are obviously wrong, have a hidden agenda and that you therefor have to disqualify anything they have may to say or show you.

  • what the fuck is the race card ????

  • watch icecude video. called race card

  • Are you just stupid or ignorant beyond belief?

The race card is usually played by minorities, Example: a minority will claim that someone is being racist against them in order to gain sympathy or retribution from all the non-racists or fellow minorities which surround them in order to reach a goal which will soon after follow or reveal itself.

  • Sorry maybe if didn't answer your questio this youtube video will /watch?v=lmj7w3SDS70

  • please focus on the important issues. We have had a Republican in office for 8 years...6 of which congress was Republican also. We are $10 TRILLION in debt (that's double what it was in 2000 when Bush got in). We are in the middle of a 6 yr. war in Iraq. Nations go to war with a country when they are attacked or threatened. Neither happened. Afganistan is NOT IRAQ.we should be in afganistan. that's where the terrorists are. we need NEW LEADERSHIP.

  • obamas attitude is rediculous he has some nerve to say what he says then again hes a fuckin muslim vote mccain

  • Racist asshole, Obama is a CATHOLIC.

Ignorant fuck, people like you make me fucking sick.

  • @RyanSevenEx Do you have any proof that Obama is Catholic?

  • Listen to McCain. He admits he feels shame for the rascist elements of his Republican party. He still isnt da man to save da U.S.A though. B.Obama is. Democrats are. Its in their beliefs. McCain wants to 'conserve' the state of America's wealth. B.Obama want to liberalise it, rightly too.

  • Interesting since Palin and the McCain campaign are now playing the "sex" card.

By the muslim isn't a race. LOL. You can be white, black, asian, what ever and still be a muslim.

  • I like how McCain didn't let the idiot sucker him into the race card discussion. We all know Obama uses the race card, heck, he looks black but he isn't. His mom was white, his dad muslim and his grandmother black. That pretty much makes him what?........6% black? You have to be like 12% of a minority to claim that minority, and he is not. So, yes...Obama is the one playing the race card, noone else.

  • you are so stupid. try doin research before flappin your gums. obama dad is from AFRICA. his mom is white and indian. but beacuase his dad his black. he considers hisself as an african american he said that on an interview right b4 he ran for pres. i have a few of his books that say the same thing

  • Why doesn't he consider himself an American? Why does it have to be an "African American"? If someone were to consider themselves a "white American", they would surly be called a racist. ESPECIALLY if they were running for president.

  • no white amercans are called europeans americans . idiot you forgot your ancestors are from europe.

  • a true president considers himself american. saying that he is african is wrong. i dont say that im 'english-american'. way to play the race card.

  • The first Change Obama should do is stop pulling the race card and debate equally.

  • Race is a social construct.

  • SENATOR OBAMA is the only senate menber of The Congressional Black Caucus wich is an organization representing the African American members of the Congress of the United States. Membership is exclusive to African Americans and its chair in the 110th Congress is Representative Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick of Michigan

  • Now, if only he where black, that would make sense.

  • obama is being racist himself for sayin that.. not sayin vote for any1 of them but thats a lame strategy to take advantage for bein a minority.. wats next obama next to 50 cent jay z and all that hip hop singers to be more simpatize the voters just for the color of the skin? wat bout the plans they have for the country and all that.. i think this campaign is going for the racism rather wats important but hey thats my opinoni

  • Dooouuuccchhee!

  • Furthermore, saying that Hussein is his middle name is a legitimate reason to call him that is absurd. Yes, it's his middle name, but do you call all your friends only by their middle names? I thought not. That's what FIRST names are for. Calling him Hussein and making up bullshit reasons like that, you may as well just say 'I AM RACIST AND IGNORANT'. A person's name doesn't say anything about their nature. You're watching way too much of Ann Coulter and Sean Hannity.

  • Some people are so stupid. So what if his middle name is Hussein? Did it ever occur to you victims of fear mongering that Hussein is one of the most common names in the world? Where his father came from, it is no stranger a name than John is to westerners. And if you insist on calling Obama by his middle name, why don't you do the same for McCain? Oh yeah, it's cuz you're racist inbred ignorant hicks who are afraid of change and things you don't understand. Here's a tip: stop watching Fox.

  • All of this anger over a statement that is right on the mark. Lots of name calling spin here. Does anybody know who Barack Obama is? No original Birth Certificate, no baptismal certificate, no real track record to back up his claims. No wonder there is all this noise and rank name calling, you don't want to know. You don't want anyone to take the time to find the truth.

The biggest problem here is Obama, he seems to have an identity problem. Was he born in the US? Is he legitimate?

  • he is legitamate and he was born in hawaii,

go back to your cave you delusional puma

  • His parent's marriage was invalid because his lying father was already married in Kenya.

    Talk about delusions:

Lawyer: Never tried a case, doesn't have law license

Professor: Lecturer in entry level courses

Politician: Took credit for others work in Illinois senate

Where is the substance? Obama, 0, nothing. Get it? Who is hiding in a cave? Wake up and research your candidate you low information voter.

  • it doen't matter if by your standard it was invalid, He held a law liscence until he went into politics and he practiced as a civil rights attorney in 1990's

    please use sources!!!

  • You don't use sources. Do you want me to work for you?

By the way this poser never filed a lawsuit and was never listed as counsel of record. So how much do you think that he really did for these "civil rights" cases?

Check in the Cook County. It's all there. Are you just quoting him and his books? He's a con man who invented himself.

His mother couldn't get a divorce on an invalid marriage. Check out law sources. Obama's father was a drunk con from a rich family. Ok, he was intelligent.

  • "I love the American people, judge?"

Am I the only one who things that was just weird?

  • Looks like Hillary in a way, doesn't it?

Using the last tactics to try to win, what a shame!

  • If you think Obama's the most liberal member of the senate you...may be a racist.

If you object to Obama raising your payroll, capital gains and estate taxes you...may be a racist.

If you'd prefer a president have at least some foreign policy experience you...may be a racist.

If you're in favor of drilling for oil and building nuclear power plants you...may be a racist

If you think "Vero Possemus" is Latin for "Massive Ego" you... may be a racist

  • If you don't think American troops are just "air raiding villages" you...may be a racist

If you're appalled that Obama voted against treating infants born after an abortion attempt the same medically as other infants born alive you...may be a racist. If your grandmother isn't a "typical white person" you...may be a racist.

If you're not sure invading Pakistan is a particularly good idea—what with their nuclear weapons and all— you...may be a racist.

  • classic7890:Dont be childish homie.

He said his grandmother, who was a "typical(Def:No more or less, tolerant, saintly, decent than any other) white person...loved him very much.

    C'mon man,you're reaching.

  • classic7890:It doesnt automatically make you a racist if you agree with McCain over Obama (Although it might make you a fuckin idiot).

But if you've always voted Democrat until now,you may be a racist.

    If you voted for

    Hillary,now McCain,you may be a racist.

If you emphatically call him Hussein, you may be a racist.

  • This is bullshit.Obama isnt playin the race card at all.He is stating the truth. There definitely are alot of people using his race to stir up propaganda.Read around YouTube and you'll see millions of people warning that BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA is an undercover Muslim terrorist who wants to sell us out to the Middle East.

  • Obama's campaign manager on April 25, 2008, during National Journal interview:

"The vast, vast majority of voters who would not vote for Barack Obama in November based on race are probably firmly in John McCain's camp already."

  • Hussein june 20, 2008, during a Florida stump speech:

"We know what kind of campaign they are going to run. They're going to try to make you afraid. They're going to try to make you afraid of me. He's young. He's inexperienced and he's got a funny name. And, did I mention he's black."

  • July 24, 2008, during stump speech in Berlin, Germany:

"I know that I don't LOOK LIKE the Americans who've previously spoken in this great city."

  • It's so funny... Obama claims he "unites" people. I haven't see blacks and whites at each others throats so much in my life than over this election.

Last night, my car was keyed and smashed by an Obama supporter... they left a note because I had a McCain sticker on my car.

Is this the type of "change" that Obama inspires? I certainly hope not.

Political dissent is a right in this country, and it doesn't just belong to Obama supporters.

    Democrats for McCain '08.

  • Today: Rasmussen poll McCain 47% - Obama 46%

  • Obama's energy plan: inflate those tires. What a joke.

Liberals are pathetic people. Can't be critical of democrats. They are the biggest babies. Those who live in glass houses......

Oh yeah, and Obama belonged to a racist church for 20 years. His mentor and pastor is a bigot. His wife has never been proud of this country. No surprise that Obama said 'A white man's greed runs a world in need.'

Look who he surrounds himself with -Rezko, Wright, Ayers, Pflegler.

  • what???? ok. because some people are republican's, they screwed up the whole economy?? just because people are republican's doesn't mean they do anything. and fyi, the economy sucked even before we got bush as a president. just because people are republican's, DOESN'T MEAN that thier racist and ignorant. get your facts straight before you go off making ignorant comments about people that are republican.

  • LOL you Republicans don't get it...

Reasons why Obama will be the next prez:

America is tired of your fool decisions.

Bush retard as hell and guess what? he is repiblican.

America does not want another selfish cowboy.

Republicans are ignorant and racist.(world wide point of view)

The economy sucks!! Thanks 2 you republicans.

Mcsame dreams are all about the military and waisting money.

    and many more...

With Obama, America will be on top of the world again, jut how Clinton left it 8 years ago :(

  • hey man instead of arguing, i think u should def. go to sweden. why? just one word. PUSSY! read bout sweden and its girls

  • Yes Senator....let the American people judge and we have.....Obama played the race card against you, Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton and anyone who dared to question his experience, his lack of accomplishment or his flip-flops and extreme change in position. Well he played it one too many times.....and you Senator McCain are now AHEAD in the polls. Congratulations.....it is reasurring that experience trumps stupidity. McCain for President!

  • Racist bring up race.

  • OBAMA DID PLAY THE RACE CARD IN BERLIN !YES HE CAN ! BUT HEAVENS TO BETSY IF SOMEBODY ELSE DOES IT !!

HE SAID VERTBATUM: ""I know that I don't look like the americans who have previously spoken." and that's not "Play'n the race card? Give me a break! Obama want's it both ways... he wants to say "yea, vote for me cause i'm black and i'm different," but, as soon as anyone points out how racist it is he say's "oh that's not what I mean't" Spare me... OBAMA IS JUST ANOTHER SLY POLITICIAN!

  • When has Obama ever said vote for him because he is black?

That he does not look like JFK or Reagan is just a fact. That's not playing the race card. In almost every election since the late 60s, Republicans have used wedge issues such as race and same sex marriage. The sad thing is that every four years people keep buying the crap instead of looking at the real issues.

Energy indepedence has been reduced to a referendum on off shore driling. But the larger energy problems still remain.

  • You take things out of context and then spin them into lies. As a matter of fact did you just copy John McCain. I wonder if McCain said Obama wants everyone to have a gun would you easily believe it and say its true without any hard evidence for it. The world is not as closed minded and simple as republicans would like you to believe

  • Hussein`s played the race card at least on 3 occasions. It`s clear and obvious the socialist left is trying to cover his bony ass.

  • what does "playing the race card" mean exactly?

  • Oh McCain, you condescending twat. It pains you to smile, let alone slander Obama. You and all the other Angry White Men of America need to give in to your inner Haggard and go s*ck a d*ck, glass or otherwise— or both...

  • McCain is in the KKK.

  • Also the playing field is not even for both candidates. McCain can lie, twist facts, and falsely attack Obama as much as he likes and it's ok. Obama make a few mistakes and he's the racist antichrist.

The Republicans are trying to convince poeple that he is Muslim who hates America then they say Obama is the one playing the race card?

What Hypocrisy. And the media is stoned. Yeah yeah race card.

    What fucking dumb country.

  • Hey dumbass. This is my country. Move out if you dont like it.

  • Bob Herbert on race in '08 campaign:

"It's frustrating to watch John McCain calling out Barack Obama on race. Senator Obama has spoken more honestly and thoughtfully about race than any other politician in many years. Senator McCain is the head of a party that has viciously exploited race for political gain for decades. He's obviously more than willing to continue that nauseating tradition."

  • EKSartist,

You are confused and probably too young to remember that it was the Democrat party that has been exploiting race for whatever reason for decades. Do some research......

  • hussein plays the race card AGAIN: No I didn`t says hussein, "...But, he elaborated,"...My name is Barack Obama. I'm African American."

  • Listen here ! Do you know what Hussein means? I guess not because you are a low-end American. "Hussein" means "Handsome One." Look it up and stop being so ignorant!

  • bennyh12345: Obama's church truly does have the same position on Israel as the Nazis and the Iranaians have. Obama's church also hates white people. These facts are common knowledge to those who study the issues without bias of mind. Liberals are far too narrow-minded and conformist to wrap their heads around the facts, but most people who are informed don't have a problem grasping the obvious.

  • mc cain gives a damn in what you think....just vote for him so that he can govern you...and keep you living as you do ...

  • McCain campaign is insane

  • Where's Romney? This is bullshit...

  • RACE BAITER`S CULT ADMITS HE WAS RACE BAITING:

    ABC News reported:

Sen. Barack Obama's chief strategist conceded that the Democratic presidential candidate was referring to his race when he said Republicans were trying to scare voters by suggesting Obama "doesn't look like all those other presidents on the dollar bills."

  • ew I dont like McCain, he's mean and reminds me of a mean teacher when he says, "there's no place for that in this race" Shut up! Your negative negative negative!

  • "Why should Blacks be heard? They're 12% of the population. Who the hell cares." -Rush Limbaugh

  • Its hard for someone who is White and Black to play the Race Card. Mccain is a clown

  • Aaaaaaaarrrrrgghhh!!!!!!

Why won't you people just pick the best person based on what they are going to offer you over the next four years and as a foundation for the future.

Fuck black, white, yellow, green and all that shit, just pick the best candidate.

(Obama, obviously -- listen up, America, he's the one 95% of the rest of the world want. Can 5.5billion people be wrong?)

  • Can the other 5% be wrong? Who's to say who is right and who's wrong?

  • What a compelling argument that isn't.

Yes, son, the other 5% can be, and are, wrong. Don't you get the point? It is only 5%.

And, by the way, YOU and all the rest of us are the ones who are to say who is right and who is wrong.

  • Race card my ass! McCain in 5'9" and shrinking fast.

  • It doesn't matter if he's black, brown, beige, blue, or purple! The issue is: "Obama has something of great advantage... racial segregation dating back to the conquistas in the 1400's and as any good politician would, he is taking full advantage of this particularly sensitive issue." Bottom line: HE IS PLAYING THE RACE CARD. (amongst other things)

PS: Hillary would have made the race far more interesting!

  • what are you talking about?

  • Obama may be playing the race card, Mccain is playing the Antichrist card with his new add.

  • McCain is a sad old man who's lost all integrity.

  • So that makes Obama what, A racist Bigot?

  • WTF? What kind of kool-aid you drinking CPO?

  • Let us all move on. Gosh. McCain has played both the race card and the patriot card. So what is he whining about? Let's get some real news.

  • You did get real and it is that Obama is a racist bigot!

  • and why shouldn't minority americans go to boarding schools if they can? are you trying to tell me that boarding schools are only for w.a.s.p.s. now i don't know how McGeezer was raised, and don't really care. what i do care about is how obama becomes an elitist, despite the fact he came from working class parents, while McGeezer is married to a multi-millionairess, and he gets the label man of the people.

  • Nope just trying to point out to you that he is not a working class anything. Just like trailor park Bill Clinton you don't get that well plugged in without connections.

You remember Bill right I thought he was the first black president. You Libs are to gullible, I might add that it didn't Obama long to use the race card on him either!

  • you and i both know that obamas name isn't smith. we both know that he is black. and to link him to paris hilton and brittany spears is doing the same thing to him what was done to harold ford of tennessee with the equally ridiculous and vulgar commercial starring a blonde bimbo! and lets not kid ourselves, how many blacks are above the political rank of congressperson on capital hill?!

  • Well as long as we are not kidding ourselves how many Black for that matter went to private school and then Harvard?

That's bull Harold Ford was hooked in a different way and you know it. Even Obama understand that he is being linked to celebrity not white women as you would imply. He is a celebrity and has been treated as such throughout this campaign. Which is why at this point in the campaign we know nothing about his plans for change just that we should hope for change.

  • I could care less about race. The way this country is going we're going to have just 2 classes of people. The rich and the poor and guess what...90% of you will be on the poor side! Blackwater will protect the rich from us.

  • Why is it in the US, anytime anyone mentions race without Lance Armstrong in the same sentence, people start to sweat?

  • We are given two PUPPETS:

McCain's bosses are the big oil companies. He is for domestic drilling because oilmen order him so. Arab oilmen are contracted to keep the steady supply to the USA which keeps the USA price lower than others.

Obama's bosses are for global free trade. He is against domestic drilling because it's not the solution to the STAGED oil crisis. However, they can manipulate anything that has to do with money - even the price of oil.

Now, all we need to do is vote !!!

  • your party doesn't obviously have to use the n word or have it's members wear sheets. but all it has to do is carefully use coded words, phrases, and actions to get that kind of point across.

  • Hey Oaklynlen I've been asking all morning what are those code words you claim have been used?

Everyone claims they exist no one can tell me which ones they are. You racist candidate got caught this time.

  • If you don`t vote for hussein,

    you`re a racist.

  • for McGeezer to say that obama is playing the race card, is the pot calling the kettle black. the g.o.p. has been playing the race card since the early 1960's, with McGeezers fellow arizona mentor goldwater.remember willie horton in 88. remember harvey gantt vs. jesse helms in 84. then theres corker vs. ford in 06, complete with blond bimbo.

  • But fact is, McCain's campaign hasn't brought up race yet, and so you can't accuse him of doing something he hasn't done. Frankly, it's just prejudice to say that he will so. You're making of prejudgment of McCain and the Republican party, and all the Republican voters out there for that matter. And besides, you can say that if you'd like, but Barack Obama wishes to lead both Democrats and Republicans. If he wants to "unite" us, he can't suggest that half of us might be racist.

  • If "racism" were a real concept, instead of a made-up construct, then our "journalists" might, eventually ask, "Why isn't it "racism" when blacks vote 91% for the black man?"

But the media, and our government, are the CREATORS of this fiction of "racism," and would have to go out and get REAL JOBS on the day we wake-up!

So our media only ask about voting for a candidate's race, when the candidate is getting 60% of the white vote!

Ready for a White Male Party? We pay 95% of the taxes now!

  • I don't ever think I have seen John McCain look AND sound as old as he did in that clip. VERRRRRRRRY strange. Almost like he was having a stroke or something on camera. Just strange.

  • Wow! No surprise that I don't find any supporters of MCcain on you tube. MCcain has way more experience. Every American should be sad if they have to make this a race between colors. If Obama is to get elected he should be elected because he is the right politician for the job not because he wants to divide America once again. For all supporters of Obama I want to say Do your Homeowrk on your politicians before you vote

  • bahahaha! I cant stop laughing at this! How low will McCain go?

  • ... I think this issue is quite simple. Obama is saying that McCain and the Republicans will try to scare voters with his ethnicity. This is asserting that McCain and the Republican party are racist, and additionally, and maybe more importantly, he's asserting that there are voters out there who will buy into these racist sentiments, implying that there are a lot of racist voters out there. His statement might make sense except for the fact that McCain has done nothing of the sort.

  • Let me put it another way. It's like McCain going around claiming that Obama is going to try to scare voters by saying that McCain has ties with big oil and he will send our troops to war just to bring profits to his friends. You may even agree with that statement, but the fact is, Obama has never said anything like that about him and so it would be unfair for McCain to accuse of Obama of doing something he hasn't yet done.

  • It's just prejudice really.. It's offensive to assume that because a black man wears baggy jeans he's carrying drugs, just as it's offensive to assume that because a person votes Republican, they are bigoted. Obama is making a prejudgment of McCain and Republicans that he is simply in no place to even make.

  • You're just making shot up now, Obama did not say such a thing, McCain has got nothing to run on so he's just trying to turn this into a mudslinging match

  • You obviously didn't even hear the Obama quote... "We know what kind of campaign they're going to run. They're going to try to make you afraid. They're going to try to make you afraid of me. He's young and inexperienced and he's got a funny name. And did I mention he's black?" And just recently he said almost the exact same thing except instead of saying "he's black" he said that he doesn't look like anyone on the dollar bills. How is that McCain trying to turn it into a mudslinging match?

  • But that IS how Republicans run campaigns, nothing but NEGATIVE campaigning, do you remember the Willie Horton add? We now have THREE negative adds from McCain and not ONE negative add from Obama, McCain has nothing to offer policy wise so the only thing he has left IS to make people scared of Obama. And he doesn't look like the president on the dollars bills, in the sense that he hasn't been in Washington for decades.

  • First of all.. this wasn't an ad from McCain, it was a statement. Secondly, you may agree with Obama's statement, but Obama himself can't run around making those claims. It's defamation of McCain's character. And isn't Obama trying to scare voters into thinking that McCain and the Republicans are racist?

  • And about the Willie Horton ad.. do you think it scared voters more that a black man was released onto the streets or a murderer was released onto the streets. Even a staunch racist would rather leave the kids with a black man than a murderer. Releasing murderers who go out and commit more murders is a legitimate issue. The Willie Horton ad got too much hype. It's 'ad' by the way, not 'add'. But anyways, that's a separate issue from what we're talking about.

  • And listen, you may even agree that Republicans will try to scare voters with Obama's race. But the thing is, people don't appreciate being accused of being a racist, especially when the person doing so is supposed to be the leader of your country. In what way does this 'unite' the two sides when he's accusing the other side of being racist. His comments didn't necessarily hurt his status with liberals, it hurt his relationship with conservatives and more importantly, moderates.

  • He didn't accuse anyone of being racist! Thats the thing! McCain just said he did and idiots like you will just eat it up like the sheep you are.

  • ...................

I gave you the direct quote...

I would continue to argue more but you're actually denying simple facts. Obama said that McCain's campaign will try to scare voters by telling them that he's black. This is asserting that there are lots of racist voters out there who will choose to not vote for Obama because of the color of his skin. Just read below... I gave you the direct quotes and there is video of Obama saying this plenty of times on the campaign trail.

  • But it is a historical fact that Republicans do use race to scare voters, like the willie horton add, lets just hope neither of them bring up race in the future, that's what Barack was saying.

  • All right, well I strongly disagree with you. He said that "the campaign will". Saying that John McCain's campaign will use race to try to scare voters. It just ain't right.

  • The Willie Horton story not about it was about eh candidates poor judgment in Willie out to of Prison to once again commit crimes. Remember the Dems during the last election in Texas claim Repubs would drag blacks behind truck So in reality it is almost always teh Dems that play the Race card.

  • white people will vote for obama, not cuzz hes good but the simple fact that he is portraying himself as an african american, even though i guess hes completely shunning the white part in him, that ought to tell you something, but again the whites will vote for him not cuzz of his unfound brilliance, just for the white guilt, white people want to show that they are good white people, that see they do like the black man, and that their not racist, its sad but true, maybe the whites will wake up

  • kgj08~ I think Obama is using the reputation of the party McCain represents to forecast possible campaign tactics in this race. Now that all this racial tension has been created, it's going to be that much harder for the GOP to use the race card as effectively as they have before. Yeah it will hurt Sen. Obama a little, but for the greater good. His statements will force this race to be about something other than color in the future. It's all about strategy, isn't it?

  • Well almost everyone is saying this is a terrible, risky strategy for Obama. First of all, he's supposed to be "post-racial" candidate. Second of all, why even bring this up? McCain has never mentioned Obama's race at all. Third, the more he does that, the more people will be turned off by it. If he keeps crying racism, then when an actual case of racism occurs, people won't take him seriously. People are going to quickly be turned off by all of his talk about how racist the country is.

  • Hey grittin55 if you were listening at all he clearly has made it all about color because he knows that over 90% or blacks are going to vote for him and that the white Liberal want their historic moment.

So it's all about color and has no substance.

  • the reputation of the party? like when the ads were put on tv about voting for bush means another black church will burn? another black man will be drug behind a truck.

seriously - im confused about who plays the race card here

  • I see conservatives' and liberals' quotes get taken out of context all the time. For instance, Kerry's "don't study you end up in Iraq" was obviously misunderstood by most conservatives. But this one is pretty simple. He even said "Did I mention he's black." It doesn't get much more explicit than that. He just stated that Republicans are going to try to scare people with the idea of voting for a black candidate. That's the exact definition of playing the race card. This is a simple issue.

  • McCain is looking & sounding more like a crying bitch every single day. He really doesn't need Phil Gramm to fuck up his chances at being President, McCain doing fine all by his dam self to make sure he'll lose in November.

  • blachubear: Wow. You're a homophobe and a racist, but since you're a Democrat you get a presidential pardon from Farrakhan Hussein.

  • I dont like obama, but he is right. The GOP will use his skin color and nationality against him. He didnt use the race card, He was warning that the GOP may use it in the future.

  • Obama played the race card when he said:

"They're going to try to make you afraid of me - 'He's young and inexperienced and he's got a funny name. And did I mention he's black?'"

  • Obama belonged to a racist church for 20 years. His mentor and pastor is a bigot.

  • benny, shut the hell up! How could you suggest that his former pastor is a bigot because of sound bite? You ignorant just the rest of those clowns who finds any reason not to like Obama.

  • And you probably belong to a racist church yourself,LIAR.Now go to Fux news and come up with more lies LIAR.

  • Bennyh12345, get a damn life! You're ignorant!

  • McAhole is full of manure. The white man has alwas sat behind a wall are they so afraid of protection prayed upon the black and played innoncent white people used slip white and blacks he is a racists no doubt about it. White people just afraid to see a black mad get ahead.

As i say write what you want too Icare less

  • if you listen Mcinsane said he "LIKE"the AMERCAN that sounds like a race card to me. someone hit the nail on the head when they said Mc2old4prez and that lame brain bush is just alike full of hate, cocky, and don't give a rats a** about you lil poor red neck white folks that would keep on voting his silly looking self in. And lets speak on Mcfulolies and who he like what about the others the ones thats' here but not of this country? not of this country isn't he speaking of them as wel;l as well?

  • It seems the McCain camp has nothing to say about himself and a lot say about Obama. The actions of the McCain camp focusing on Obama only make him more of a "celebrity". Who cares? Obama does not look like the previous presidents? SO WHAT? Its obvious. McCain has yet to form some type of identity and present some type of legitimate vision of what he will be like as president aside from from offshore drilling. Who is running the McCain campaign? Where's the beef? The free world deserves better.

  • obama certinaly has the JFK chraisma. I really have no doubts that he will get in. He represents so much change that America needs in terms of economic and foriegn policy.

  • jamesthq: Only thing is that JFK didn't hate America. So you're full of crap.

  • findyarootz: McCain's fame in the Midwest, the South and the West has been sorely underestimated. Most true Americans find a war hero a lot more appealing than a charismatic negro, who hates the USA.

  • I know how dirty and filthy they are. They have won elections for years by playing the race card,or impuning integrity or patriotism when 99.9% of them are too cowardly to fight for their country.McBush is no better than Dumbya, but your right they will do anything to win. They have no honor or shame.Dumbya would have lost to Kerry had they not had all those gay bashing initiatives on certain state ballots.

  • blair...: I wondered how long it was gonna take for you hippie fags to come out of the closet and attack McCain's sterling patriotism. Keep it up. Expose yourselves for the liars and cowards you are. More people need to learn where you truly stand.

  • Mcbush is a traitor and war collaberator. You are a racist hater as can easily be seen by your hateful bigoted sight.Don't fuck your betters little man you might nd up regretting it.I'd turn a little fag racist like you upside down and spit in you ass.

  • blair227: Let me translate what you're saying into English. Basically as a homosexual black man you are offended enough by my statements that you want to sodomize me and then kill me.

Like I said before, all Obama voters think this way. This moron proves it.

  • Let me translate this for you racist.Kiss my Hetero white ass. How's that for a translation mr.shit for a brain. You so called christian repugnants with god on your side are going down this time and all they fear smear and bigotry in the world isn't going to help you goper liars this time around, now go kiss you picture of Dumbya and go to sleep little boy.

  • blair227: As a member of NAMBLA you really have no choice but to support Barack Insane Osama. I understand. You have PTSD from being a child murderer and experiencing so much rejection in life. Take your medicine now and let the adults talk in peace, your highness.

  • Well little chickenshit chickenhawk haters would know all about Vietnam wouldn't you?Hate for the sake of hating has always been the main modis operandi of ignorant little cunts like you.Thats the main reason I henceforth call little bastards like you Repugnicunts.

  • blair227: What in the fuck do you know about Vietnam, stupid? You phrase your arguments like a 12 y/o. Cuss, cuss, cuss. Say ignorant, uninformed things like a mentally handicapped adolescent. You don't read like a 58 y/o man. More like a 12 y/o Girl Scout.

  • ebonic4everyone:

You are a real fuckin douchebag.Any adult who beleives in "bad words" or "cussing" as you call it is no better than a 12 y/o girl themselves.Thats shit that my lil cousin does when you tell her to sit her lil ass down."Ooh.You said a bad word."You do not make yourself sound smarter at all with that kind of response in a debate.Grow up.

  • You repugnicunts think your the only ones allowed to name call and cuss?135 combat missions in vietnam on a uh1 makes me more qualified than McBush who crashed and burnt 5 times. You are a pathetic little fucktard bigot, nothing more, nothing less.Making fun of a true American like MLK simply proves you've had your lunch money stolen too many times little boy.

  • blair..: You're V.C. Only V.C. support socialist pigs like Obama and the Dimocraps. Stop lying about being a war hero, you fraud.

  • You are truely pwned by your own ignorance.I don't claim to be a war hero, just a much better human being than any braindead non-thinker such as yourself and McBush. Now I can't help the fact that you are such a braindead loser little boy.btw, you are obviously a little twit incapable of any cogent argument or sense.ebonics4everyone=Repugnicunt.

  • Hussein`s feeling the heat, his world tour was a flop, he sloughed off the troops in Germany, his poll numbers are dropping like a stone and now he`s playing the race card in desperation.NOT ONCE, BUT OVER AND OVER:

  • You're kidding, right? His world tour was a huge success. His poll numbers are stable. Americans weren't supposed to think he was president, they're not stupid. He played basketball with troops in Germany, then pentagon told him he should reconsider visiting hurt troops. So he handled it gracefully. He WILL win because McSame is too same and too old. And Obama has vision.

  • jimbojim68: The troops would spit in his fucking face, man. That's why he didn't go to visit them in the hospital. If a man is dying hooked up to a machine, what makes you think he wants to hear about how his sacrifice was a mistake. Fucking arrogant liberal cocksuckers.

  • You don't know anyone in Iraq obviously shit-for-brains. And I'm sure you never served like I did for 12 years.

  • A FLOP. NO bounce in the polls.

    Germany?

    Military Times:

"All media, including local press and the more than 40 journalists accompanying the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee on his eight-day international trip last week, would have been able to photograph the Illinois senator entering and leaving the hospital, said Air Force Lt. Col. John Dorrian, a U.S. European Command spokesman."

CONCLUSION; YOU AND HUSSEIN ARE LIARS!

  • You don't get it.

Obama realized that just by visiting the hospital he was going to be accused of using the wounded troops as a political tool. So Obama had to make a decision. He knew he was going to get attacked for going to the hospital, and attacked for not going. So he chose not to go and call the troops instead because he didn't want the troops to be used as properganda.

McCain obviously has no problem exploiting the troops as you can see by his response to the situation.

  • McCain visited them. No 3 ring circus.

  • Paradox catch-22.

  • younglymista "mccain obviously has no problem exploiting the troops"

Please - mccain sons serve in the armed forces, 1 in the navy and 1 in IRAQ in the Marines, so please don't tell me he is exploiting his own children, by having them give an interview on tv.

obama was not told he couldn't visit the troops, only not to make it appear as a campaign event, which would have happened if he brought the campaign advisor and cameras. he chose his path

  • I will tell you and I will prove it. Just look at his votes against the GI bill. veterans health care, funding for troop safety equipment, minimizing periods of time between deployment of units sent to Iraq. plus many more. I got links if you want them.

He doesn't want to reward them accordingly for their sacrifice. That's exploitation.

When his two sons come home they will get BMWs and helicopter rides across Arizona with their Super rich mommy. Most Troops don't have that luxury.

  • You're as pathetic as McCain trying to use the troops. Obama has visited troops in the hospital before in the US and in Iraq without cameras but all the sudden he hates them or wants to use them? McCain used it in an ad. Sick and desperate. Obama leads most polls for a reason and is winning in some red states, not losing any blue. Suck on that.

  • Poll numbers stable!? State polls show him losing in liberal States such as Minnesota.

"The two candidates are in a statistical tie, the latest Gallup Poll Daily shows, Gallup pollster Frank Newport writes that the poll shows "Obama was unable to solidify the significant lead he briefly enjoyed ... at the height of publicity surrounding his weeklong visit to Afghanistan, Iraq, the Middle East, and Europe." "

    Bu-wa-ha-haaa !

  • Liar, like McCain!

Jul 23: Barack Obama leads John McCain 49% to 37% in Minnesota. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in the state finds that when "leaners" are included, Obama leads 52% to 39%.

Jul 24: A Quinnipiac University poll released Thursday found that Obama leads McCain 46 percent to 44 percent among the state's likely voters, a statistical tie.

  • A-ha-haa. Minnesota, usually a lock is tied with McCain winning ground every day:The poll of likely Minnesota voters conducted by Quinnipiac University has Obama up 46 percent to 44 percent. It's within the survey's margin of sampling error, meaning the race is considered about even.

Colorado, Hussein`s lead erased. Your boy`s in deep, deep trouble.

  • Such deep trouble hussein`s playin` the race card and Axlerod, the puppet-master just admitted as much.

  • LOL Liar, like hussein:

-- According to Gallup Poll Daily tracking from July 29-31, John McCain and Barack Obama are now tied at 44% in the preferences of national registered voters

  • you can't see for looking if you are holding up a U.S gallop poll! there is no volidity in them-McCain is not beating Brack Obama...not today, not yetersday and not tomorrow!so you can go on telling lies but we the people know!you pelple are blood thirsty! all you want is havoc for everyone else while you go home to cozy little dines! in which you feel heavenly that God has blssed you all the while you are hurting other innocent people just because they want freedoms too!

  • Tied in the polls NOW. Hussein`s world tour was a flop.Even in Minnesota it`s a statistical tie. Minnesota! The only State Mondale won!

A-ha-haaa! It`s all coming apart at the seams for Axlerod`s puppet , hussein.

  • Do you care what a douche bag you sound like?

Aug 1: A new Pew Research poll show Sen. Barack Obama leading Sen. John McCain nationally in the presidential race, 47% to 42%.
