Yes, Dumbledore planned his death because he wanted Snape to be the heir to the Elder Wand so even if Voldy got it (which he did) it wouldn't work properly for him. He of course didn't forsee that Draco would actually be the elder's wands true owner, and that Harry would master Draco, therefore mastering the wand.  It gets long and complicated in this part of it, but read the book a few times and you'll get it, Snape was a hero.

Malfoy was ordered by Voldemort to kill Dumbledore and he failed, Professor Snape did instead. If you were following each movie, have read the books, then you would of known this... Besides, to him death is just the next great adventure, not something to be afraid of.

Snape is not an evil man, in the end we find out he was loyal to Dumbledore all along.

Maybe he just hasn't read the books.

For example Oliver Wood the old quidditch captain comes back to the battle to fight. George names his son after his twin Fred, and marries the black girl angelina johnson. the elder wand, the horcruxes (riddles diary!) marvolo gaunts ring, how voldemort made sure the prophecy would be fulfilled (there was a choice if you guys missed it) amazing. i love HP
