  • Not so much less trees, just smaller trees (and from tree farms). Thanks for no environmentalist speeches, trees are a renewable resource.

  • The difference you mention between the described size vs actual size has to do with the type of finish the wood has. You can get rough cut that will actually be 1"x4", but that is just that, rough. Finished wood is sent through a system of planers that turn it down to finished dimensions. It has nothing what so ever to do with fewer trees.

  • thx to the dislikes..the bar now looks like a lightsabre :)

  • ┬──┬

  • Define "find" lol

  • finally an expert village video on wood working not filmed by John!

  • THOSE ARE NOT 2 BY 2 PIECES OF WOOD, MORE LIKE 4 BY 4, OR ELSE THAT GUY IS A MIDGET

  • we actually have more trees now :)

  • look this vid : "THE REAL carpenter"

    click on the first vid

    thats carpentry

  • very well done, but dude, you gotta number these.

  • That IKEA inference was really funny.

  • It would help if you numbered the videos. Makes lide easier to follow your videos

  • Only comment is that the 1x4 being

3/4 x 3.5 is that the 1x4 was the original demension of the wood before the curf material was removed. Note, modern saws have thinner kerfs but same finish size so more boards per same siz log using thinner kerfs.

  • thanks for sharing. you speak right to the point. clear and concise.

  • yea i like the vid to
