i just moved to waveland with some family what was hre before katrina & i was here a year after katrina hit & i couldent believe how much damage there was i was here just a year before & a year after. god bless everyone here in waveland & lets all hope & pray that this never happenes again.
I would like to say hello to the folks in this video. You and the folks of Waveland and the surroundings areas are the greatest! I would love to return for a visit. You can only see just a small portion of the destruction in the video!
You are 100% correct. Waveland was ground zero. I was there with the North Carolina SMAT Team. We sat up the field hospital in the KMART parking lot because Hancock County Hospital was shut down. New Orleans received way to much attention. The people of Waveland and the surroundings areas never acted like what you saw going on in New Orleans. These were the most respectable and gracious people you could ever find. Thank you for letting us help you! You just had to have been there.
god Bless the people in this video. They make me proud to be an American again, which doesn't happen too often.these days.
