i bought a proyo in the yoyo craze and he was on the back of the packet. i could never do as much with it as with those ones with ball bearings inside you could get in the newsagent for a couple of quid. but i guess that was some kind of fake style or something.
he uses turbo bumble bees around £30 back in the day and they are crap! well.. they are good whilst the cork-brake lasts then you have to FIND another. I have 2 £100 aluminium yoyo's but to be honest the yomega raider as mentioned above is just as good, lighter, and cheaper.
Shinji Saito has won the 2A division (involving lots of two handed looping) for six years in a row, using a pair of £10 Yomega Raiders.
2A is a different beast than 1A. Even then, the 888 that Yuuki Spencer used to win the 2007 1A division at Worlds was at the time, only £57.99 in the UK.
That said, I still stand by my initial statement.
