i love it. but i dont like the eye blinking. in this case, its totally unnecessary. it gives this "made by animation tutorial" feeling, which is bad. yes, its a easy way to makes character look cute. but the main dude doesnt need that, he looks older than the little lamps. apart from that...its all really good.

The record rotating the wrong way wasnt the only odd and perhaps deliberate oddity here, i also noticed the screw being 'tightened' the wrong way also. Food for thought huh?

8 mins 18 well spent! That such a short film can have such an impact, nice work. I felt genuinely sorry for the lil thing, and at the end you feel the sucess and happyness, the film really takes you in to the robots perspective and is directed with master craft man ship and precision.

One little quip though....the needle on our little robot's head is facing the wrong way for a record to rotate in the way it does...it would grind into the material of the record...Other than that it was the best thing I've seen all week, a real pick-me-up! keep up the good work!

Beautiful animation. However, in my opinion, the story was poorly conceptualized and the motivations for the characters undefined. There was no arc or through-line. Song cues were also confusing and not well thought-out. Not one of Future Short's best pieces I'm afraid.
